    Nice demo all the way around. No BS talking, no chop fest showing off, not too fast or slow, equal time on all drums. Wish more demos were this good.

    I concur: a great demo. A clear demonstration of the drums without struggling to hear them through a wash of cymbals & blinding/ridiculous chops. Well done.
    I look fwd to getting my bop version soon.

    Damn! That bass drum is so small yet sounds a LOT bigger! Amazing drums, and great demo!

    Picked one up a few months ago, got a small 8” Tom as a add on underneath my hats, I use 2 ply’s for the kick, 12” and 16”. At a lower tuning (to compensate for the 8” tom) and port in the kick.... records just like it bigger brothers. Thinner heads and high tuning for Jazz, great piece of gear.

      Where did you buy the 8”?

    • @bannanapancake
      @bannanapancake 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Heavyperro - I ordered my 8” (white pearl) from Cymbal Fusion in Texas, I procrastinated on the 14” and they sold out, so I had to order the 14” from Thomann out of Germany. Shipping was actually pretty fast.

    This the best Demo of the AQ2 Safari that I've heard. Thank you for doing all 3 turnings and playing with mallets and brushes. It shows how versatile these drums are. And thank you for making the demo about the drums and not about your chops and talking.

      I must agree. The quality of the video and recording are by far the best I've seen/heard. I have this amazing kit and have had nothing but compliments... Worth every penny.

    Which Remo drumhead would you recommend for the Sonor Aq2 Safari?

    hi, I want a tone like J J johnson where he plays gravity, or something like steve Jordan. I just want a snare, kick and hit hat combo, with a cymbal may be. Could you seuggest me the best ones i can get without breaking the bank but not compromising on the sound?

      No, on the Floor Tom it's a Audix D4.

    Why did they change the size of the snare and floor tom to 13?

    • @bryanherward4679
      @bryanherward4679 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hard to say...probably just a manufacturing decision. Simplify the line. They changes the snare to a 13 as well. I've got a Safari, Martini and bop kit. The Safari intervals are perfect for tuning. The Martini is much harder to get the 8" and 13" floor to cooperate with each other.

    The question is: these or the Starclassic Walnut Birch???

  • @somethingfamilyband9762
    @somethingfamilyband9762 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Please write how you tuned, mid tuning? I used to tune the upper and lower plastics for notes or for hertz, what are your notes on plastics? I have exactly such a drum kit. Thanks.

    • @DrumsBonedo
      @DrumsBonedo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Саша Нечитайло I just tune them by ear. We general dont use tuners or other tools. Just our experience, the room and each individual’s personal taste.
