i did this like 15x and forgot to check mark the plug in folder DESPITE THE FACT YOU HAVE A POP UP THAT TELLS ME TO DO IT.
This is seriously the best video I have come across for set up. Now I need to learn how to record and loop and layer
so the ones from x86 program folders didnt work also to add
very helpful. if anyone is having trouble installing the Hybrid, you have to restart the computer first. Then it goes smooth as described here.

To the people that didn't find where to get the serial for the instruments, it's under the PC download link (as shown at 2:04), it doesn't look the same anymore but you should have a " instruments serial " link.

Yes this definitely should be in top comments I second that.
So basically once you register the product on the left side you will see your product. Underneath it says view downloads. Then on your right a list of discount codes will appear with your download link at bottom for mpc and AN ARROW pointing right. CLICK THE ARROW. Codes will show right there. Not sure how used to look before. But it's HOW LOOKS NOW 😅🤷♀️.

First of all thank you for making great videos I personally am very grateful for it. I recently bought the Akai mk3 mini and I'm trying to watch your video of the Akai mini mk3 complete setup, registration, software download and installation walkthrough. I'm using Windows 10 and none of the setup stuff you showed so far looks the same as mine I'm still getting the old akai screen where all my downloads exist under my equipment that's registered. I watched another video to try to set my mk3 up with the MPC beats software and it had a reference under file shortcut manager but mine does not have that option cannot seem to figure out why I can't get any sound out of it? I am running 2.8.1

First, I would like to thank you for this step by step video. It was extremely helpful. I'm trying to set it up for my son before Christmas. Also so I can know the basics enough to teach him. I did have one question though.. I followed the steps to the entire video, my only issue is.. the keyboard/pads are not working. They only work on my computers keyboard. How would I go about making it work on the MPK Mini & disable the keyboard keys for my computer?

Everytime I try to launch hybrid 3 it gives me a screen saying "the plugin file for hybrid is missing from its directory please add the plugin back to your VST folder"
it won't load my plugins in MPC beats when I let it search for them ... I've put it in the right folders and everything, just like he showed in the video (it actually was in the right folders before I put it there again)
are you using a Mac? I'm having the same problem

In the software manager, I was able to click on the folder icon under the settings cog in the left hand corner, and I was able to click on the folder icon in the “save downloads in” tab, but nothing on the others. Here’s how I got it: I tried hovering in roughly the same spot as the folder icon on the “show advanced software” tab as the “save downloads in” tab, (basically, start at the folder icon and go directly down until you’re halfway down the “show advanced software tab), and even though I couldn’t see anything, my cursor went from an arrow to the pointer finger and acted like there was something to click. I clicked, and a red box with a grey check mark appeared, and when I returned to my software downloader, it was under the “apps” section. Hope this helps!
Really wanna get myself midi keyboard but this while setting up/plug ins etc blows my mind!! I’m a complete newbie
Somehow I may have deleted necessary files to make the editor function.. when I open it, I only see a blank screen and not the interface for my midi. I've tried uninstalling the application and reinstalling it, but nothing is working. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get it working again?

for some reason when i click on the "activation code" it took me to a Error 404 page saying that the page cant be found. Also the device isnt giving me any activation code for the velvet or the mini grand just activation codes for trials. idk wtf is going on

@@wouttyssen4725 I fixed it . Get out of the of the software launcher . Go on your internet browser and go to the akai professional web site . Sign in with the log in you used to register your mpk mini. (Do that if you haven’t yet ) when you go to your account info it will show your serial number to
Unlock the stuff. Write them down or just leave it open. Now you have the serial . (Note : copy and paste didn’t work for me , I had to hand type it in) Now you can follow the video instructions without getting hung up on that step. The plug-ins are worth the trouble I was impressed.Mpc beats it’s awesome too if you take the time to learn it.

I am having the same issue, it's infuriating me, I've spent hours trying to figure this out. If I get any more frustrated, I'm going to return it and give up and I don't want to. I have an iLok account and an Akai account...this is nuts!
@@ChrissyParissi I figured it out! If you go to your registered products page once you've signed in on the akai pro website, you can find your serial number on the bottom Right of the page. Thats your activation code for hybrid, mini grand, and the other one ( I can't remember what its called). Once you enter it once you're all set. Just copy and paste!

I can't see the "show advanced software", I can see it but I can't click it, can someone tell me why? I can't download the editor
I had the same problem, there is an invisible box all the way to the right of the words "Show Advanced Software". It took me a bit, but just click around in that area and you'll find it.

I can’t figure out how to make my keyboard more sensitive. I have to slam down on them just to get a note I can really hear. Is their something I’m missing?

Theres a video where you take the controller apart and add electrical tape underneath the pads. Originally there’s like two layers of pads remove one and use electrical like I said. This is for the mpk mini 2 if there’s a tutorial for the 3 yet

hi! please could you share where you put the vst plugin files (hybrid, mini grand and velvet) as I have a mac and I can't figure where I find these vst files and where I should save them to so I can scan for them in the MPC Beats > Preferences > Audio > Plugins. Tysm! This is incredibly helpful. When I downloaded the MPK Mini Software Manager, MPK Editor didn't come up at all. Now I have to figure out where to find it and how to download/install it.
It might be there just hidden. Try hovering your mouse over where it should be and click. I explain it better in this video: MPK mini mk3 Program Editor Download Location
