As a Kenyan living abroad I agree and actually feel proud to see this developments. We have professional Kenyans who went to live abroad because of lack of jobs on things they studied and conditions offer their services to other countries like me so soon we come home to do jobs like these instead of foreigners.

@@wawerukamau6242 Unfortunately Kennedy is right. We are not building or operating submarines in the next 100 years. First we are too broke for such equipment. Second, subs are pretty complex machines. You need sonar / radar systems. Different subs fire different missiles meaning if we build the damn boats, we must design and develop missiles, equip them with tech to evade defenses and hit the desired targets. You need to map out the sea floor extensively for your navigation or you'll run into some shit. We simply don't have the technology to do that stuff while we are battling droughts and locusts 😂. We cant even manufacture an air breathing car engine 😂😂.

Though Shipbuilding and ship repairs is not a rocket science the country still needs to tap on the real experience from some experienced private sector players who are not mean with knowledge and are not corrupt and the few experienced Kenyans who are willing to assist to make this work as the country works towards realizing its potential in the blue economy sector. All the best.
