  • Last week, I was in Las Vegas for a short getaway. The bus system is a lot smaller than I thought it was, and the fleet variety seems to be dwindling fast, as the NABIs and some of their New Flyer LFR fleet have been retired from service.
What you'll see here are various videos of the RTC bus fleet, ranging from New Flyer C40LFRs, to XN40s & XN60s, to the Alexander Dennis Enviro500 double decker fleet, to a video of one of the Wright Streetcar RTV Hybrid-Electric artics, which are currently being phased out.
The Alexander Dennis Enviro500s are powered by a Cummins ISM engine with a ZF ECOMAT-2 6HP602C transmission.
The New Flyer C40LFR & New Flyer XN40 "Xcelsior" CNG seen here is powered by a Cummins ISL-G engine with an Allison B400R6 transmission.
The New Flyer XN60 "Xcelsior" CNG Artic seen here is similarly powered by a Cummins ISL-G engine with an Allison B500R6 transmission.
The Wright Streetcar RTV seen here is powered by a Cummins ISL engine and the ISE Thunderbolt Hybrid System.
I hope you guys enjoyed the video. Subscribe & stay tuned for more!!

Sigh, unfortunately the street car you have at about 11:35 is retired. None of them work any more and the company that made them is no more, so we can no longer get parts for them. When they worked, they were a dream to drive Handled like a little honda even if they were 60 ft long.

Makes me wonder what would have replaced them if the Strip/Downtown express wasn't discontinued.
      Maybe more XN60s?

@@thesquirreltangent523 Tbh the SDX was a really helpful bus line along side of the DEUCE and it looked good for the Strip and Downtown, Do you think RTC will bring back the SDX and if so what do you think will replace the older buses, XE60-NGs or XHE60s?
