Normally I try to comment on these videos of the snippets before the SF but as usual, I was very busy so I'm just getting around to it today. Anyway, here's what I think of your top 6 (and I guess this time I'll say what I think of the songs after watching the performances):
    6. I Won't Shake (La La Gurnilla) - I was also not a big fan of this, but I didn't think it was all that bad. The performance was cute. However, I was incredibly surprised that it got 12's from both the 10-15 and 16-29 year olds. Never did I think younger people (especially not kids) would gravitate toward it so much.
    5. Fur dig - I liked the full version better than the snippet but I still wasn't in love with it. I'm guessing we feel similarly about this (since our rankings are very similar - and I made mine before the SF but it didn't change even after seeing all the performances).
    4. Take My Breath Away - So, this is the song we disagree on. I thought the snippet showed a lot of potential and I was expecting to like it quite a bit, even if it cut off right before it started picking up. After watching the performance, I really liked this. I'm so disappointed this finished last.
    3. Aldrig mer - Do you remember when she was in Melfest 2021 and her song wasn't very popular (I saw a lot of tops where it was ranked around 20th), but then when she made the final, suddenly so many people decided they liked it? I never understood that. Well, anyway, this song was fine. I don't know if I like it more than her previous song. I actually barely remember it now, though.
    2. Give My Heart a Break - It's amazing that she was a co-writer for both the songs that won the American Song Contest in 2022 and Eurovision last year. I have to say that I preferred her Melfest song from 2022 a lot more to this one. It's good but not amazing and I think it's kind of funny that she's a co-writer on the 1st place song in your top. Like, she was competing against herself in this SF. And tbh, that is a much stronger song.
    1. Effortless - Well done to Jacqline for being one of the rare Melfest first-timers to be the top qualifier from their semifinal. Even more impressive since she was the 1st one, rather than the last one, to perform. Anyway, I thought this was very good and I liked it a lot and it's a possible winner for me (for now, anyway).
    Here's my top 6:
    6. Gunilla Persson - I Won’t Shake (La La Gunilla)
    5. Klaudy - For dig
    4. Clara Kingsenstrom - Aldrig mer
    3. Cazzi Opeia - Give My Heart a Break
    2. Kim Cesarion - Take My Breath Away
    1. Jacqline - Effortless

Yes, same here, I also thought Gunilla’s performance was cute, and the song grew on me a lot, actually. I've even played it on TH-cam multiple times. I feel like I prefer it over Cazzi’s song now, and I kinda wanted her to qualify for the final yesterday. But yeah, it’s interesting how kids got so invested in this song. I guess her charisma is the reason, and the staging also felt pretty fresh.
I must admit, I wanted something a little bit more from Kim’s staging, but yes, the song is very good.
Yup, I do remember how popular Clara’s song was in 2021 in the fandom, but it seems like I missed out that she became that popular only when she qualified for the final. Maybe it’s the live performance that helped?
I totally agree with you that Cazzi’s song in 2022 was way stronger, and yes, it’s interesting that she has been one of the songwriters for all these very successful songs, including Effortless, her direct competitor in this heat. I guess it’s just her music style that fits her and is part of her artistic personality, but it’s more appealing for kids usually, and not for older people, though.
Yes, it’s impressive how Jacqline did so well considering that she is a completely new artist to Melfest. I hope she does well in the final as well, and I am very curious to see where you’re going to rank it in your final top. I predict 3rd or 4th place.
