Oh amazing, I hope you can pick it up somewhere. It might be out of print because it didn't do that well when it came out, but definitely keep your eyes peeled for it on the secondary market.
A spot on review for a great game! I agree with everything you said. Such a fun challenging game, after many times playing at last I dare to use the Titans on Attack deck (I was on the easy mode before), and now the game becomes better and crazier :D

Got my first play in this last week of this thanks to your recommendation as underrated as well as finishing the first season of the show. Both are great! The faults are few (some dings on components). I get a lot of the same fun as playing Alien Legendary Encounters, though this setup is much easier and it feels more strategic.
This makes me smile from ear to ear! I'm so glad you like it, both the game and the show! Oh man, things get bananas in the show moving forward I can't wait for you to experience it.
Dammit you got me very interested in ALL of this so now have a dvd boxset ordered but... Living UK it's super expensive to get the actual game, equivalent to about 100usd!
Geez, yeah that's quite a lot. But now you can keep your eye out on the secondary market at least! Hope you like the show though, I think it's outrageously good.
I just picked up a copy of Attack on Titan. Hopefully this used version has everything in it. The cards are sleeved so seems like a good sign that they took care of it. Now time to take these dumb sleeves off. 😆

Haha "games so hard you hate yourself a little", hilarious man. And yea...I have a few of those lol. This seems like one of those games you have to play a bunch of times to really understand what you need to do to win. And during that time you are going to be losing A Bunch, and probably even when when you do know what you're doing lol. I do enjoy games with this sort of difficulty from time to time, because it's just so damn rewarding when you actually win. Planet apocalypse is a game like that for me, lose 50% of the time, and one of the most intense sessions, but when I do win, oh boy I'm throwing a party lol. And damn dude I was not expecting 90ish minutes from the size of that box lol. What about some other tokens for the counters, like dice or something? Idk. Great review dude, you make me want to try this, and I'll be forwarding this to my buddy who likes the anime.
P.S. Don't ever talk about my Aunt Gladys like that again! lol
Yeah I was subbing in two D10s for the longest time, and then I had to return them to the other game because I was trading it for something. A MUCH better work around for sure. I'm excited for you to play it, I hope you like it!
@@RoomandBoardReviews Yea those tokens just seemed so small and would be an annoyance. Eventually I'll get around to it, maybe a Christmas present or something lol.
Have played this 5 times. The only time victory happened, it took about 4 hours.
Had this for years as my travel game! Got it early after it's release and still can't beat it without mods lol
That thrills me to hear, I do wish the box were a tiny bit smaller but it doesn't bother me that much. I'm so glad my girlfriend picked this up for me early on too, just because we liked the anime, I wouldn't have looked at it otherwise.
@@RoomandBoardReviews it is a great show. I've packed it in ziplock bags for my flights out to the in-laws. Gotta make space now with all my kids stuff we bring. I just shared this video on the Solo Board Gamers FB page. I've posted about it on there before but no one listens to me 😅
@@kylemoore7746 nice, yeah sometimes I just throw into another big box, I do that for splendor a lot too. I've never played it solo, I should really do so more frequently
I am a huge fan of Aeon's End, have you played it before?
I have! Also a big fan, we played through the legacy campaign which was a blast and I think the best jumping in point for new players because it gradually introduces all the different mechanics. Aeons End certainly has the replayability factor going for it with its boxes and boxes of content and I think it's a great game. For me though, Attack on Titan edges it out. I just really love the movement aspect to it. I think if you like Aeons end, you should enjoy attack on titan as well, they have that similar vibe of juggling dealing damage to monsters while protecting yourself. They both great though. Aeons End would come in second for me though, have really enjoyed it and played it a bunch after the legacy (my friend went out and bought almost everything for it haha)
@@RoomandBoardReviews I own a lot of the content for Aeon's End. Ended up backing the recent legacy campaign and grabbing the new legacy campaign and the original while I was at it. I will need keep an eye out for Attack on Titan as Aeon's end is currently my favorite deck builder.
Is anything planned for the final season? I can't see it going to Yugioh levels. There is a finite amount of characters unless they continue the story. But still it relies on existing characters which take a long time to introduce.
I don't ever see any expansions coming down the line for this one unfortunately, because I don't think it sold that we'll, which is a shame. I was thinking to incorporate the whole Kenny arc they could have enemies popping up inside the walls as well that you'd have to deal with. I'd LOVE more content for it but I just don't see it happening.
There are some fan made expansions on BGG I've seen some cards that some people mocked up but I haven't tried any of them out
