the 747-8 has about the same range as the a-380, except is approximately 16% more efficient, so, operating costs are much lower. In addition, the price tag is about $40 million less then the A380. Currently, the 747-400 is about $60 million less than an A380. FY 2008 Deliveries: Airbus A380 = 12. Boeing 747 = 16 Boeing 747-8 scheduling pushed back. This doesn't include that the 777 deliveries just for Q1 FY 2008 was 21.

Is that it? If I had made those wings, I would have expected a bit more from those who were relying on them. Tremendous pieces of technology and all they got was one fly by. Great fly by though. Thank you for posting.

You're right about that, I was talking longest and heaviest. But as for the most cargo volume, the 747 LCD has more than all of them.

If it ain't Boeing, it better not be an outdated Tupelov
Both Airbus and Boeing made amazing and beautiful birds, and huge advances in commercial aviation, I don't understand the biases people have on one of these 2 companies.

SlappingMachine Boeing makes aircraft. Airbus makes computers. And I understand the irony that my profile pic is an A380

Apparently a second AN-225 was under construction back then, and that apparently they are trying to get it completed, according to Wiki
