I love this! Chicago needs more realistic apartment tours. As a Chicago native, we have so many interesting floorplans and cool spaces to see. Please do more of these. I fully support this.
Can you do a video, eventually, on cheaper apartments. Like, what’s the lowest you might be able to live in the city? I know everything is really expensive right now, but maybe you can find something.
And clarify for her by what you mean as “city” - to her, that might mean downtown or extremely close to downtown. I live in the city in a 700 sq ft high rise apartment for $1600 a month - just five miles from downtown.
What neighborhood? I’ve been looking but haven’t seen any for that price in safe neighborhoods

OK. So. I tend to stick to studios that are no more than 1000 a month. But everything is included in that rent.
hi caira, can you please show us more apartments under 1500 even if they're not pretty or updated? many of us earn less than 40k a year so knowing what options are available would be nice. thank you.
Hi! I know this is an old comment, but I lived in Uptown for about 6-7 years and had 2 great one-bedroom apartments! My first apartment was $1,100 and my second was $1,475 (more expensive because it had a dishwasher and a parking spot in the parking garage) 🙂 Things have probably changed because I left in 2021, but check out Uptown!

I absolutely love what you ladies do with your studio space. I personally have never lived in a studio, but I definitely wouldn't turn it down if it's spacious with a beautiful view. I'm looking forward to moving back home to Chicago and finding a beautiful apartment in the West Loop or River North area. 🖤🤘🏾🖤

2. I used to live in Chicago (primarily Uptown). It’s insane how much rent prices change depending on the neighborhood. I paid $1,475 in my last, one bedroom apartment which had a spot in the parking garage. I now spend around $1,800/month for the mortgage of my two bedroom townhouse in the suburbs (about 45 min drive or an hour train ride). The range is crazy!

You mentioned that she rented the apartment in the winter, when she renews her lease would her rent stay the same or go up to the regular price?
Her renewal will also be winter so hopefully it won’t go up too much!

It’s a studio! Her bed is in the same room as everything else.
