I genuinely think a big a contender to the success of Smosh this year is Angela. She has quickly grown to be one of the most beloved smosh members in only a year and the dynamics she has with Amanda, Chanse, and everyone else has made the videos so successful and such a joy to watch.
I don’t dislike angela but I avoid watching videos with her in them because she’s just too loud and over the top all the time. But I guess since a large chunk of smosh audience are kids and teenagers, Angela’s vibe is very suitable for this demographic.
I’m closer to Ian and Anthonys age, and I think Angela is a comedy gem. She brings so much energy to videos and can improvise so well. I’m scared that Smosh won’t be able to hold onto her for too long.
Shayne saying about not taking risks because of all the red tape is exactly why smosh is now at its best ever! The cast and crew are more relaxed and creative. They just seem like they are having more fun and are actually supported.
my favorite thing about smosh mouth is having consistent hosts that have great chemistry already, and all the guests just add to that! shayne and amanda fully own it and it's so fun. i love how much the cast and crew are integrated into smosh as a whole and that might be part of why it's been such a successful year, you guys are having so much fun on camera and all of us can tell!
As far as casts go on youtube, Smosh just seems to have the people that I most click with. Every member makes me laugh in a different way, and the content feels polished without losing its charm and sense of genuine friendship
A lot of people saying Anthony coming back heightened the quality of smosh but i will say that right before Anthony came back the quality was already up and the content was fun, i think it's just that Anthony coming back attracted a lot of attention and now people are noticing how well produced and entertaining the channels have become. Anthony coming back definitely makes it a new environment don't get me wrong, but I think both Ian and Anthony's confidence after becoming joint owners really helped to boost their morale and the company's. So everything, the vibe and confidence of everyone has reached a new high. it's all because the soul of the channel got new life put into it with the very W business decision by them both that everything fell together and now there is a novelty about Smosh.
I honestly love that so many cast members have played the chosen in their own way, and even though it never really feels like something Shaynes Chosen would say it still never out of character. Like The Chosen isn't super specific to one niche of guys, like how the character started out in Shaynes head, but he's more about mindset and attitude than specific interests. I feel like that really shines through in Chosen Moose Master where Angela doesn't know jack about the typical Shayne-and-Spencer Chosen topics but shines in her performance (also like, Chanse being The Chosen who faps is iconic).
i cant quite pin why, but Smosh has become my favourite channel over the last year and a half. I find myself watching a video from across one of the channels pretty much every day. I feel as though everyone involved is having so much fun creating this content for us fans and its really comforting and entertaining to watch
As a fan coming back from early Defy era but a bit before Mythical saved Smosh, it's a real breath of fresh air to get back into one of the first channels I saw when going onto TH-cam. It genuinely feels like Smosh but with the extended cast and crew and I can tell they love it too. I used to watch Smosh back with one of my childhood best friends and it's still surreal to see them together again.
Man, it's really great that Anthony and Ian are having a great time now. Their segment where they talked about going on a writers' retreat to the Smosh sketch house really showed that they are really back in full swing and allowing themselves the comfort to make some great stuff. I'm very happy with the direction that Smosh is taking, and I think that this truly is their "Golden Era". Glad to experience it live. ❤
after it was announced that anthony was returning to smosh, i started to go back to smosh videos post defy and grew to love this whole cast. honestly seeing smosh grow from these two guys to having an ensemble of funny and talented people is just amazing. i cannot wait to continue watching y’all’s content. ❤️
Smosh is in a Golden Era. And it is all about the people and their relationships. It feels real, because it is. Watching those distinct personalities share their passion, vulnerable side and connect with other members is amazing to watch. So many different dynamics we get to discover with them in real time. That a lot of them hang out in their free time here and there or actually help each other as friends, not just co-workers is something that can not be bought and transcends a singular format. Anyone leaving at this point would hurt, you guys created essentialy a real life daily "sitcom" of funny people at work sharing their time with us. That is truly unique. I know that Smosh is a "company" at its' core, but breaking down those hierachies and letting those talented people do their thing at eye-level took stuff beyond. That is as friendship as a company can get.
I think I found Smosh during Covid. I liked it, but I agree that this is the best it's ever been. It looks like a weight was lifted from everyone's faces Around 10:47 you get the start of "People want to see people be people" I absolutely agree. Both the theater episode and the live show that centered around breaking each other was awesome
I think the live show really embodied exactly what unites the old and new smosh fans. Friends goofing around while telling a story. Like there were moments where people really got to show off their skills (the Krungle rant, for one) and other times it was just constant corpsing and swapping out. Hell just hearing the cast laugh and heckle each other from off camera was perfect. I would love to see other performances like this with other formats (police procedural, for one).
Ian can get the wax out by putting a paper towel on either side of the shirt and then putting an iron on top of it to melt the wax and it will go onto the towels. It’s the only way to get wax out of fabric.
Summertime! You guys should have a Smosh field trip to the theme parks and have fun on the roller coasters and try out some of the crazy food and drinks. Would love to see Amanda and Angela riding together on X2.

When I saw the first ridethrough of Tiana's Bayou Adventure, it made me remember that time Shayne, Courtney, and Damien tried to reride Splash Mountain as many times as they could. And that got me to thinking about the time the squad went to a department store and got holiday pictures taken in matching outfits. Or when they'd have episodes of EIOYI in restaurants. It would be fun to see the new cast take a couple of field trips together. Maybe not every week, but once or twice, anyway.
I have decided. Anthony's return should henceforth and forever be referred to as "the second coming." Example 31:05 "...one of the areas we kind of like identified with those sketches *before the second coming* ..."
Anthony's presence alone brought this sudden boost to everyone and the content has been so good the past year. Like everyone's morale and creative juices just went up to 100 and haven't gone down since, it's good to see as someone who sadly stopped watching Smosh during the Every Blank Ever era where they did like a thousand of them and Anthony left and it just felt weird. It's good that things are going so well
Okay, I just have to say how amazing it is that they name drop all these amazing behind the scenes people. So few really appreciate the logistical people and I just respect them so much for being so appreciative to the full team that makes things possible.
Truly in the golden age! I came across you guys about 25 vids into TNTL and then watched all of them, then followed and in the last 6 months have been watching Smosh Games and Smosh Mouth. So glad I came across you when I did, amazing two year journey!
Happy 1st year of the "Level up" Smosh! You have been making such great videos and setups! I love the banter, the dynamics and the relationships that have blossomed even more this year. I genuinely laughed so hard on so many videos both on "inside jokes", on just general fun, on blooper moments, on stuff not going quite as planned and being derailed into fun chaos, on you all having a blast! The support that everyone gives to everyone else is so heart-warming, everyone is so respectful of the other one's strengths, I feel that there's no "competition" for the spotlight, just vibing and making the best out of every situation. I also really appreciate the honesty, openness and vulnerability of everyone, it's so refreshing in a landscape that we're bombarded with facades and calculated to the detail stuff, to have you all just being genuine people that are extremely funny from your core and not being held back by corporate crap, buzzwords and what sells on this microsecond. You're making timeless videos that I enjoy watching again after months and having THE best time once again! Also, thank you for letting the fans have compilations here, because every "compilation" channel I would watch they'd remind me of a great video I'd go and rewatch, or point to something I may have missed and I'd go watch the full video (most of them actually have the titles of videos used or have direct links and you can feel the love this community has for what you do). So, thank you for making our weeks brighter, surprising us with new adventures and revisiting familiar cherished formats while keeping everything fresh and timeless at the same time. I really wish you the best and I 'm so happy to see all of you thrive and be yourselves. Smosh was the first channel I ever subscribed to back in 2011, and watched every sketch on the channel and the IanH channel religiously for years. I stopped watching around the time new cast members were introduced, i came back last year after they bought the channel back and was excited for classic smosh sketches and let me tell you that quickly evolved into me binge watching all the content I missed over the years. I love all the cast members and everyone’s chemistry with each other and have really enjoyed the “golden era” and look forward to new uploads across the channels everyday. So excited for the future of smosh. Happy one year 🎉
I know that the reason I became so invested as a viewer of Smosh's content is because everyone on the channel really became themselves. Seeing the cast grow, change, and basically level tf up as humans has been such a joy and honor to watch. So proud of you guys!!!
Im a returned fan from the origional smosh days. I was part of the 'wheres ian and anthony' crew that caused a big dip in viewership early on. Ive come back after loving the reddit videos, then seeing clips of the sketches that i thought were funny af, and now im watched a ton of sketch content i never really thought id be into now that im older. I was also already a fan of anthonys independant content but i think i still had this idea of smosh being sorta juvenile because it was something i loved in my youth, i think thats what prevented me from checking the content out sooner
Honestly I noticed a difference in Ian's attitude months before they announced their re ownership. I always thought he finally got to explore the 'therapy' idea lol. I wouldn't say less depressed, but a little more relaxed and kinda less pressured. I've been watching smosh since 2012, so some character growth can sometimes be noticeable is what I'm trying to say.

honestly the commitment that everyone has for the content Smosh is making is always apparent and the reason I personally continue to come back to the channel. This podcast, Reddit Stories, everything on Pit and the Games channel, the stuff on the main channel, it’s a big hub of content that I think anyone can find something they love to watch. Smosh works because Smosh loves to do what they do. Anthony coming back is simply the galvanizing moment for the group to really dig in and take those risks.
Smosh without antony was like a hearty, homecooked meal that leaves you happy and satisfied. Smosh with Antony is like the same recipe, but cooked with really fresh ingredients directly from the farm 😆

I started on the main channel back in 10s, later on became a big fan of pit, but I was never to attached to games, after this past year I’m literally subscribed to all 4 channels because its just all gold
Now Smosh has the creative and artistic liberty it had before Defy, but it also has the expertise and technical knowhow it acquired from the Defy and Mythical eras. Best of both worlds.
What I've always appreciated about Smosh across all of the channels is their consistency. I've been a subscriber since before Games was started, watched lunchtime with smosh, grew to love the early smosh squad and then fast forward to post defy during that weird in-between when basically smosh was grying to find a home, after mythical bought you, during the pandemic with the zoom and at home content, through so many different cast members all the way to here post Anthony coming back with the original owners again. I'm grateful for all the years together no matter what form (or formats) y'all have taken. ❤️
I feel like an outlier by saying I found out about Smosh through MYKIE. I was a huge makeup TH-cam girly and Glam N Gore was one of my fave channels, so when Mykie introduced Anthony, I checked his videos out and watched a couple. My brother was the Smosh fan, and he was the one who told me that Anthony was associated with Smosh in some way. So when Ian and Anthony announced that they bought back Smosh, I thought I'd watch a few videos. It was all great, but my motivation was always more like "let me support Mykie's boyfriend I guess". It was only this year that I REALLY got into Smosh as a standalone entity, and grew to really love all the cast members and the content being put out. It's all so funny, everyone has such compelling personalities and dynamics. I'm not even a huge gamer and I subscribed to Smosh Games just because I liked watching the cast play. Can't believe it's been a year! I can't wait to see what else Smosh puts out 🥳
Just an idea but what if Reddit stories were filmed with channel members seeing it live so that way you coild still get reactions and diffeing opinions from the chat that you can incorporate into the video once they get published. That way you have the best of both worlds, you still get that interraction with the chat and its also a fully edited video for the rest of the people to watch later
I really agree with Shayne's point. The community is here to love Smosh, and we love any format that lets friends fuck around with each other, and it's also getting views
I only recently found smosh like around January i got the reddit stories on my fyp and went to watch them as i went to bed then just went on to all of smosh and you amazing people have made me really happy these past like 6 months if im not at school or working im watching smosh idek if anyone will see this but youre all so lovely and make a lot of peoples days this company has been going since before i was born and i love the history of it all and how human it is you guys are so amazing ❤
I found myself rediscovering smosh around the same time anthony joined back and i have to say its been such a cool experience seeing anthony learn about the smosh family and dynamics while i was simultaneously doing the same. i love smosh so goddamn much.
I have to say that the highlight videos of Shayne reading Reddit stories on twitch from like early 2022 quickly became some of my favorite Smosh content, and when they did the Thanksgiving episode I was so elated! And then a few months later it started becoming a weekly show and has been part of my Saturdays ever since so I want to thank everyone who made that possible, it is clear that you truly care about the audience which is pretty cool

I'm from Malaysia and I started watching Smosh in 2011, i was 15 up until i was 18. i love IanH, cuz of the lunch time. and then they slowly put in the cast members, the skits n humors were my cup of tea. when i went to college for 4 years, im no avid watcher, just watch here and there, mayb skipped 2 3 weeks and selective on what type of vids i want to watch, up until after covid. but once Defy left you guys, i "sometimes" force myself to watch just so i know every view i gave could help smosh to not just crumble away. now, with all new contents, new members, new ideas, even revealing more about the bts members of the production, i realize i stay with Smosh because of personalities. yall are good people. please keep doing what you do 💪🏼

Okay, I just have to say how amazing it is that they name drop all these amazing behind the scenes people. So few really appreciate the logistical people and I just respect them so much for being so appreciative to the full team that makes things possible.
Truly in the golden age! I came across you guys about 25 vids into TNTL and then watched all of them, then followed and in the last 6 months have been watching Smosh Games and Smosh Mouth. So glad I came across you when I did, amazing two year journey!

You have been making such great videos and setups! I love the banter, the dynamics and the relationships that have blossomed even more this year. I genuinely laughed so hard on so many videos both on "inside jokes", on just general fun, on blooper moments, on stuff not going quite as planned and being derailed into fun chaos, on you all having a blast! The support that everyone gives to everyone else is so heart-warming, everyone is so respectful of the other one's strengths, I feel that there's no "competition" for the spotlight, just vibing and making the best out of every situation. I also really appreciate the honesty, openness and vulnerability of everyone, it's so refreshing in a landscape that we're bombarded with facades and calculated to the detail stuff, to have you all just being genuine people that are extremely funny from your core and not being held back by corporate crap, buzzwords and what sells on this microsecond. You're making timeless videos that I enjoy watching again after months and having THE best time once again!
Also, thank you for letting the fans have compilations here, because every "compilation" channel I would watch they'd remind me of a great video I'd go and rewatch, or point to something I may have missed and I'd go watch the full video (most of them actually have the titles of videos used or have direct links and you can feel the love this community has for what you do).
So, thank you for making our weeks brighter, surprising us with new adventures and revisiting familiar cherished formats while keeping everything fresh and timeless at the same time. I really wish you the best and I 'm so happy to see all of you thrive and be yourselves.

Smosh was the first channel I ever subscribed to back in 2011, and watched every sketch on the channel and the IanH channel religiously for years. I stopped watching around the time new cast members were introduced, i came back last year after they bought the channel back and was excited for classic smosh sketches and let me tell you that quickly evolved into me binge watching all the content I missed over the years. I love all the cast members and everyone’s chemistry with each other and have really enjoyed the “golden era” and look forward to new uploads across the channels everyday. So excited for the future of smosh. Happy one year 🎉

I know that the reason I became so invested as a viewer of Smosh's content is because everyone on the channel really became themselves. Seeing the cast grow, change, and basically level tf up as humans has been such a joy and honor to watch. So proud of you guys!!!

Im a returned fan from the origional smosh days. I was part of the 'wheres ian and anthony' crew that caused a big dip in viewership early on. Ive come back after loving the reddit videos, then seeing clips of the sketches that i thought were funny af, and now im watched a ton of sketch content i never really thought id be into now that im older. I was also already a fan of anthonys independant content but i think i still had this idea of smosh being sorta juvenile because it was something i loved in my youth, i think thats what prevented me from checking the content out sooner

Honestly I noticed a difference in Ian's attitude months before they announced their re ownership. I always thought he finally got to explore the 'therapy' idea lol. I wouldn't say less depressed, but a little more relaxed and kinda less pressured. I've been watching smosh since 2012, so some character growth can sometimes be noticeable is what I'm trying to say.

honestly the commitment that everyone has for the content Smosh is making is always apparent and the reason I personally continue to come back to the channel. This podcast, Reddit Stories, everything on Pit and the Games channel, the stuff on the main channel, it’s a big hub of content that I think anyone can find something they love to watch. Smosh works because Smosh loves to do what they do. Anthony coming back is simply the galvanizing moment for the group to really dig in and take those risks.
Smosh without antony was like a hearty, homecooked meal that leaves you happy and satisfied. Smosh with Antony is like the same recipe, but cooked with really fresh ingredients directly from the farm 😆

I started on the main channel back in 10s, later on became a big fan of pit, but I was never to attached to games, after this past year I’m literally subscribed to all 4 channels because its just all gold
Now Smosh has the creative and artistic liberty it had before Defy, but it also has the expertise and technical knowhow it acquired from the Defy and Mythical eras. Best of both worlds.
What I've always appreciated about Smosh across all of the channels is their consistency. I've been a subscriber since before Games was started, watched lunchtime with smosh, grew to love the early smosh squad and then fast forward to post defy during that weird in-between when basically smosh was grying to find a home, after mythical bought you, during the pandemic with the zoom and at home content, through so many different cast members all the way to here post Anthony coming back with the original owners again. I'm grateful for all the years together no matter what form (or formats) y'all have taken. ❤️

I feel like an outlier by saying I found out about Smosh through MYKIE. I was a huge makeup TH-cam girly and Glam N Gore was one of my fave channels, so when Mykie introduced Anthony, I checked his videos out and watched a couple. My brother was the Smosh fan, and he was the one who told me that Anthony was associated with Smosh in some way. So when Ian and Anthony announced that they bought back Smosh, I thought I'd watch a few videos. It was all great, but my motivation was always more like "let me support Mykie's boyfriend I guess". It was only this year that I REALLY got into Smosh as a standalone entity, and grew to really love all the cast members and the content being put out. It's all so funny, everyone has such compelling personalities and dynamics. I'm not even a huge gamer and I subscribed to Smosh Games just because I liked watching the cast play. Can't believe it's been a year! I can't wait to see what else Smosh puts out 🥳
Just an idea but what if Reddit stories were filmed with channel members seeing it live so that way you coild still get reactions and diffeing opinions from the chat that you can incorporate into the video once they get published.
That way you have the best of both worlds, you still get that interraction with the chat and its also a fully edited video for the rest of the people to watch later

I have to say that the highlight videos of Shayne reading Reddit stories on twitch from like early 2022 quickly became some of my favorite Smosh content, and when they did the Thanksgiving episode I was so elated! And then a few months later it started becoming a weekly show and has been part of my Saturdays ever since so I want to thank everyone who made that possible, it is clear that you truly care about the audience which is pretty cool
after rediscovering smosh I have found so much joy in watching y’all’s different relationship dynamics and just the laughter shared between everyone, we enjoy watching you guys as much as you enjoy making these videos

I'm from Malaysia and I started watching Smosh in 2011, i was 15 up until i was 18. i love IanH, cuz of the lunch time. and then they slowly put in the cast members, the skits n humors were my cup of tea. when i went to college for 4 years, im no avid watcher, just watch here and there, mayb skipped 2 3 weeks and selective on what type of vids i want to watch, up until after covid. but once Defy left you guys, i "sometimes" force myself to watch just so i know every view i gave could help smosh to not just crumble away. now, with all new contents, new members, new ideas, even revealing more about the bts members of the production, i realize i stay with Smosh because of personalities. yall are good people. please keep doing what you do 💪🏼
