I just despair that there are so many of us and so comparatively few of those top-dwelling-bottom-feeders actively wedging us into this digital prison, but we cannot or will not band together to stop it. We are like tragedy in motion. I guess there's some poetry in that for those of us with a melancholic disposition. I need to stop fighting against this absolute dystopia and instead embrace the whole foetid waste. There must be some larger purpose.

Interesting that most of those previous tasks (cooking, making clothes, childcare, healing with herbs) that weren't monetised, were then made predominantly by women and probably inevitably undervalued. Perhaps if everyone regardless of gender was prepared to share this work, not apportion it unrewarded to only women, it would become valued. As it should be.

Intelligence as a service sounds ominous.

I think I understand your point of view very much. Lets call it the downsampling caused by modernity. It's analogous to a low bit rate. A journey on foot has more information than a journey in a car or airplane. The journey on foot lets you have a deeper connection to the surroundings than the journey in the car. If you experience your surroundings you spend more time thinking about the health of the surroundings than if you don't. Modernity made us have a life that was less a struggle, so it has given us many gifts. But, as I see it there's no law of nature that says we need to blindly pursue modernity. We have the ability to reflect and adapt our ways. The main issue is that we've created a system of competition, everyone's so focused on the competition that they have a difficult time to absorb different views. Love to chat some time.

yes. ignorance simpy is ignorance ... to ignore the harm that is done is always attributed to fear not love. when we know who and what we each are, pure innocent undeluded/undiluted love, we would never ignore the harm done to an other. and in truth since there is no "other", the one would be cognizant of the harm, and do the inner work to be happy joy full and free and therefore give the love freely

What Giannis Varoufakis explores with the term technofeudalism tied to the cloud capital. A form of post capitalism and much worse. Basically what is happening in the US.

not sure i agree - all of these late stage capital goods, like Ai, and even the human mind, require a material substrate in order to function in the world, and therefore require material resources from the earth in order to be commodified and sold. These resources are all finite, or at least, they're being used up at a rate faster than they can be replaced.

Right, and the Glorious West has begun cannibalising itself as it's target markets start grouping up and arming against its predation. So then we get scarcity and indenturedness instead of artificial scarcity and debt. Yaaay.

Eisenstein is shedding Light on an unfolding path that, if followed rather than feared can, as all Truth does, liberate rather than constrain. How we tend, or attend truth determines its appearance as something to fear or embrace.
There's no reason to fear the future, no reason to cling to the past through regret. The future is emerging through us, not coming At us. We are birthing evolution. Embrace what’s being revealed. ❤

this is the most depressing statement i ever heart from you. unfortunately it seems correct. but even i fear its not so much about making a choice anymore. when we (the everyday person) are pushed into more and more financial struggles then no one will do anything anymore without a price on it. ay, what a dark future. even i was strongly walking the path of distancing myself from capitalism all my life or now dying trying so to say, i have to commit that you seem right with this statement in these days. actually, the same with patriachy, many were preaching that its loosing more and more but actually its getting stronger and stronger...

you mean the jungle of competition. Barbarism, for humans - instead of cooperation and civilisation.
