Booked in executive king and diamond and hope to have upgrade. My spouse wants to go out and eat in Hawker center- so I guess we need to not stay too much in the lounge. Do you suggest local taxi service?
Hi there, thank you for enjoying our video. We hope it's been helpful. The rooms in Orchard Wing have better views of the city, but since you've booked the Executive King Room, your room would be on the higher floors (Levels 24 to 32) and would probably have great views anyway. You can always request a room with great city view when checking in and since you'd most probably be upgraded to at least a King Corner Suite (which happened to us at our recent stay with our new Diamond Tier!), it's best to ask when you're being upgraded. When in Southeast Asia, we use either Grab or Gojek, our equivalent to Uber, or take the MRT train or bus if you have more time. Good luck!
Who'd have known the most iconic property in Orchard Road will be the flagship Hilton in all of Asia-Pacific? I am so glad Hilton Singapore Orchard kept all the great parts of Mandarin Orchard and added some Hilton goodies :)
It's a win-win solution when they've kept some of the Mandarin Orchard staff who are really the heartbeat of the hotel and upgraded the hardware while throwing in the Hilton Honors membership as well!
@@idyllikvacays Indeed - I’m not only surprised with Hilton Singapore Orchard retaining Mandarin Orchard’s Shisen Hanten, Chatterbox and even the quality of their buffet restaurant, more essentially, I am sososo glad long serving Mandarin Orchard staff are now serving guests all over the world! Heartfelt service with experience that surpasses other (admittedly compared to US and AU-SYD) Hiltons out there. Not to mention the re-introduction of Osteria Mozza and a larger lounge. How amazing! The best of iconic Mandarin Orchard plus the worldwide appeal of Hilton.
