Thanks for sharing your travels. It helps with my planning for our upcoming Croatia trip and trying to determine where to visit, what to expect at the border, roads, etc. information like that has been scarce
Thank you for this video, I was doubting if I should rent a car to visit Mostar from Croatia, but after you showed me that scratched mirror, I decided to just take a organised daytour.
Don't listen to what others are saying, jealousy is the worst thing, welcome to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Mostar Bosnian thank you for visiting, did you try cevapi 🤣🤣🤣🖐🇧🇦🇧🇦🇧🇦
If you are willing to spend some extra money for the convenience of having rent-a-car, definitely it is worth it. Public transportation is much cheaper option, but very time consuming, and a little inconvenient. You do have an option of taking bus Dubrovnik-Mostar-Sarajevo, or Dubrovnik-Metkovic-Mostar -Sarajevo, but it will be a time consuming trip. With rent-a-car, costs more, but you get a chance to enjoy trips at your own schedule
@@eldindokara7868 Thank you for this advice. I used the train to get from Sarajevo to Mostar and the bus to get to Dubrovnik and later back to Sarajevo. Taking the bus from Mostar to Dubrovnik wasn’t so bad. HOWEVER I wish I knew beforehand that the Sarajevo International Airport was NOT 24/7!! They were open for set hours only. Had to stay in a janky hotel nearby for a couple hours till the airport finally opened up loll. Next time I’m definitely spending that extra $$ to rent a car.
Great video 👍. Was the road from the border to Mostar too narrow? Planning a drive from Sarajevo to Neum this summer. Not sure if my US driving experience will be enough to handle it.
Thank you! The roads weren't too narrow but they were definitely winding. As long as you pay attention though it wasn't too difficult. Enjoy your trip!
Hi, At the time of shooting this video, no new highway was built from Neum (Bosnia and Herzegovina's border with Croatia) to Stolac and further to Mostar. This new modern road will be opened to traffic in early July and will replace the old narrow road and will certainly travel faster and easier from Croatia to Mostar. With the opening of the mentioned road, the journey from Neum (border of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina) to Mostar will take about 45 minutes. Welcome to Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦🇧🇦
@@hadzic7313 Drove from Sarajevo to Neum last month. Other than that 40km section overall roads were surprisingly good. The views were breathtaking. The news of the new road opening in July gets me excited. Will surely redo this same road trip.
Hey Nate and Katie, thank you for the video and I hope you were not charged for the scratched . Could you please let me know that when did you travel? and how long it took you to get to Mostar? As I am checking on the google map and driving time is under 3 hours, is it correct? thanks.
We appreciate it! Fortunately we were able to work out the scratch ok 😁. We were in Mostar august 2021. Since we stopped at the waterfall we went a bit out of the way and it took longer, but without the stop it was about 2.5 hours. Border crossing was super quick and easy as well getting into Bosnia. Although it took a lot longer leaving just as a heads up. I hope you enjoy your trip! 😀

1) “it was only €50 euros”…..ONLY!….Is that what you call “only”?!? 2) “We bumped (damaged) the mirror - hope we don’t get charged for it”….err, YOU damaged it and YOU WILL !! 🙄
Found your video whilst planning my trip will be doing it in reverse. Very informative, loved it! Please can you share the link for the Airbnb.

Amazing scenery and good vlog, mate. How long was the total drive & was hiring car expensive? Mind sharing the price tag etc?
Nice vlog! Do you plan to visit the rest of Bosnia-Herzegovina eventually? I have many nice locations to suggest ;)
Love this insight. What car rental company did you use? Currently planning my trip in Dubrovnik
Hi, I’m going to Dubrovnik this mont. I used Easy Rent, it was the cheapest I found.
@@LucianoMMatias Thank you. I ended up going with EasyRent also. Very convenient
It's very importent to ask the car insurance company for the green card before travelling.
Would you say it's worth it to drive say from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik and back to Mostar or would you rather stick with public transport?

They scan the passeports and that’s how they know when you entered.

Nate, Katie - do you mind sharing which highways you took. I need to drive from DBV to Mostar and looking for best options. Thank you!

Sounds like that car rental company ripped you guys off. Dang it.
Croatia eastern Europe?
Balkan. Southeast.
It is mentally in Eastern Europe. Geographically, Southeastern.
Mostar is not in Bosnia, it's in Herzegovina.
👍
U pravu si Mostar je u Hercegovini 🇧🇦⚜️ ( država BiH) a ne u Bosni ili Hrvatskoj ko što neki misle 😀
