There’s a few Canadian lads in this draft… I think, this bodes well for Canadian Rugby… I do think Canada needs another team. It’s good that the MLR has included at least one team. I hope to see it grow and have more teams in the US added too. Glad there is finally a Chicago team. Finally have a team to support … don’t even care if they are dog balls ( pun intended)😂
I’m South African and I’m loving the fact that the game is growing there… I think the MLR had made an excellent decision, to start the season after the Super Bowl… it can lure those NFL fans who are bored and still wants to watch a physical and very entertaining sport.
Just wish the big TV companies would start showing more of it on TV and also show more International matches… not just Test matches, but club teams from Europe, South Africa, the super rugby and all that… saturate television with Rugby, and you’ll see a massive spike in interest.
Good to see there was some actual home grown Rugby players that made the draft… grass roots is the life line of the sport. It should be nurtured and encouraged over there…
