    Didn’t learn anything in this one, but it’s a great refresh. I’d be interested in component testing 101. I have a lot of skills from the micro soldering 101 but lack the knowledge to do much more then guess.

    So what about the 0603 SMD resistor that's diagonal to the other components?

    • @TheArtofRepair
      @TheArtofRepair  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just turn the board like i described in the video =) Its all about working with the board not fighting it =) Truthfully 99% of all components are 4 sided in some way and easily fit into this. But even those that are not could benefit for equal energy and parallel grabs =) Thank you for taking the time to comment! Hope to see you in here next week!

    Getting my equipment today! So my questions is how do we know/where can we look to find how hot a component needs to get to remove while also knowing how hot the surrounding components shouldn't get? Hope that is not confusing haha

    • @TheArtofRepair
      @TheArtofRepair  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suspect you mean, how to find a short? and how to remove the component?

    • @antoniocortes1787
      @antoniocortes1787 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheArtofRepair basically or just how hot I can get the components before destroying them

    • @TheArtofRepair
      @TheArtofRepair  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@antoniocortes1787 understood. so, if you suspect something is short, you can easily feel for heat with your hands, then confirm with low resistance or a contiunity beep through diode mode from both sides of the circuit which would be hot side + ground. if its under and IC you may need to remove it to test In terms of how hot... i have a ton of videos that cover all that information you just need to watch my 101 and 102 playlists to understand the concepts =)
