I am stoked that more Ceratosaurus models are coming out. For such a well known dinosaur Certosaurus doesn't get a lot of attention. Nick is impressive. I really like the attention paid to accuracy. A lot of models just follow a standard theropod design or exaggerate for effect, but Nick is very-well researched. Nick's pose I cannot decide if I like it or not; he looks like he was startled or jumping or even coming to a sudden stop. I like the tail end actually. Like you Laura, I don't care for the base; I'm assuming they were going for a "museum look." I also wish Nick's mouth could be closed and opened, but that's not a deal-breaker. Overall I cannot believe I haven't run across this guy previously. Thanks for your review.
Oh wow those seams need a little more attention. I like the paint scheme though. Probably my favorite paint app of all the ones you’ve reviewed thus far.

That is a great figure! Ceratosaurus is my favorite Jurassic theropod. This past summer here in Utah I found a theropod tooth and got really excited hoping it was from a Ceratosaurus but upon closer inspection it was just an Allosaurus tooth :(
Utah is famous for its dinosaurs and fossils are actually quite prolific once you know what to look for. Now complete bones and articulated skeletons are another matter....

It's way bigger than most of the ones you have in your collection from PNSO, but it's way cool, and you're right about the base, it's way too boring and unimpressive compared to what the other bases look like, and you are really good at spotting all the details on these replicas, great job, Laura! Hi, the sculpt is really good, it inspires me to sculpt a big dinosaur again! I love the stretching skin on the legs and tail. I would re-paint it too, the paint job is good but I agree with you that it needs that more contrast dynamic tone.
Cool review Laura. My favorite PNSO figure is Sede the Ankylosaurus. Less than $20 from them and another gorgeous figure with a lot of character to him/her, they're tilting their head inquisitively like either seeing something on the ground or sizing up a predator.
Finally picked one of these up(3,actually 🙂)and, Yeup, the stand situation sucks. That’s my only gripe. This is a fantastic sculpt with a very aggressively engaging pose that screams out for a custom stand that is in the works. Rather than a canyon motif, I think I’ll go with a ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, forest scene. These are still reasonably priced on Amazon. Avoid eBay vendors-they’re asking twice the price and the two I dealt with, who did represent themselves as having even-handed pricing, never sent anything. Had to have eBay step in for refunds. Very handsome and highly accurate.
Late to the PNSO Dinosaur figure game but, with some OT at work I'm catching up....faster than my available space unfortunately. Excellent review. Very helpful. For the price point there is little criticism I can justify. This is a remarkable and accurate model. I love it. Agreed that the base is just pure function lacking all aesthetics. However, I plan to work on one of my own design. Also, which Wilson T rex figure is that because mine did not come with a base....more's the pity. Thanks for making these videos.

I'm not much into dinosaurs, but the detail in this figure is great. I noticed some companies are making dinosaurs more and more realistic. I thought about picking some up.

I love your videos, and you always do an amazing job at staying honest and really giving us a good overall interpretation of the figure. You even did a marvelous job, or should I say LEGENDary job ;) at rattling off facts about Ceratosaurus! But to be honest, 10:24 made me cringe, cuz Dilo didn't have a frill in real life and I dont like those figures of it at all. Idk if you know they dont actually have frills, cuz maybe you just mean a JP style interpretation, which PNSO probably wont do given that they TRY to be more accurate. Great vid nonetheless!

I would love dearly if you could review let alone get your hands on dino riders from the 80s. I collected only what my parents could buy me but word had it that many natural history museums based their models on these dinosaurs. That would be amazing cuz on Ebay you cant even buy any at decent prices their insane prices.
I bet it looks great from afar but once you get into a closer inspection you start seeing why it's $70.00. Overall a nice piece but I have to agree, the stand and base are a little cheap and a little uninspired. Great review Laura!!

Hey, I have that sweater! Anyway, the figure is quite impressive, but a bit large, specially for a medium sized theropod. I really like their Ankylosaurus, hoping the do a hadrosaur or iguanodontid.
Still a Beautiful colour pattern. There is NO way they were all greyish green like early Hollywood and early media told us. Time for you to design your own Base. No, Not another Death star I mean a Base for the Dino. : )

Ceratosaurus is actually pretty underrated. Full grown specimens get to the size of large Allosaurus of around 8-9 meters.

Doing programs with dinosaurs that is the best looking ceratosaurus model I've seen it looks close to the real thing.
My favorite dino that I want PNSO to make is the Laura-Saurus complete with removable dino sweater :)

Really cool tried to paint my jurrasic world Ceratosaurus to look like this but could not get the coulor right
The base is easy to fix, just cover it with glue and sprinkle some sand.
