Every now and than, I come back to this video. I saw this video when it came out, and it took me 2 years and half to get the SNKE51, now, after wearing it daily for almost two years, i bought it again to be pristine, and really take care of it, as i got some other ones on the side, to rotate.
9:45 blue strap is also good! Liked that blue leather, but like that blue suede as the micro 'fluff' rearranges and 'shades' light to the two toned blues, that actually complements the blue sunburst dial!
The blue-black crock band on this Seiko 5 SNK E51 is arguably the most beautiful combo I have ever seen. Breathtaking indeed. I ordered the “J” version for $100 and also a deep blue XL crock band. This is truly a ‘must have’ thing. I may have to mod in a Sapphire crystal.
2 years later I did exactly the same to my SNKE51J1 due to this guy's videos. Sapphire with double dome and blue AR and the Hardley Roma blue croc. Brings this little Seiko to a new level.
The dark blue Hadley 👌🏼 Amazing how some of these straps add a ton of versatility to the timepiece and make a sub $100 watch look like a million bucks.
I'm glad to watch a fellow strap nut! Since I don't have a lot of money for tons of watches, I quickly discovered the beauty of strap swapping to transform the few watches I have to fit the occasion. Much cheaper and can be quite effective!
Howzit! So, you might be wondering "what the hell does that intro shot have to do with anything?". Well, it doesn't! I am random af and I just thought it was cool! It was really cold up there at nearly 10,000 feet but the view is amazing. That guy is my buddy Sterling. He tried to swat my drone down. He missed :p Sterling does some cool photography. And yeah, that scratch on my Seiko 5's glass really bums me out. Oh whale! Don't forget to follow us on instagram for photos of stuff! It's also where I announce future mod sales! instagram.com/minitwatch
Great video! I’m just now getting into watches and I never knew that these bands can be mixed and matched! I just bought and Seiko 5 myself and switched out the band for a NATO nylon strap. Very casual, everyday, beat up watch.
Recently I bought this model of Seiko 5, it is really a stunning looking watch costing me US$75, what a bargain. When it arrived it was running 30sec per day fast, not really acceptable after some adjustments it is now running about 10 sec per day slow totally acceptable. Get this watch you won't be disappointed.
Thats an amazing Video for that seiko blue dial....did a lot of justice to that asset, i have the same and now going to replace with new strap asap...Thanks buddy..😄
Thank you. Blue dial watch search brings me to this ultimate strap guide. Very sad, some watches I like it to stick with certain straps so I force to buy a new watch if I need some other combination.:)
You know, I tried to do the whole art gallery thing in a few locations. I got told to stop each time. haha! It's like WHYYY BRO? FREE ADVERTISING! But no.
Me three! Was considering the Bambino gen 2 for another inexpensive dress watch alternative, but this watch with the Blue Croc strap is fabulous. Also, one guy in his amazon review of the band mentioned that he installed a double dome sapphire crystal along with a deployment clasp...the watch looks amazing-he developed a real keeper! Be well.
ohhhh I agree 100000000% percent. I have this watch, and the original bracelet was absolute rubbish. I changed it to a black leather band, and it looks great
Great form today. I like the different straps and different looks for the watch with them. Gingerbread was good on that watch. Bless you for you sneeze and find the shoe.
I have only just discovered this video, I thought I had watch all your uploads! You are completely right about the Seiko 5 looking good on anything. I've got strap from eternitizzz and combat-straps that cost more than my Seiko 5, but that little Seiko can roll with the punches along side the big boys! That blue 'gator like strap from Hadley roma is beautiful on that! Great vid!
Good concept on the video. I love the selections as well, except for the mesh, its just not for me. I like how you demonstrated enough of each and then moved on. The beauty of this watch is its versatility with many differnet bands. Good job.
1st time watching your channel, really like your unpretentious "presenting", Enjoyed the video v-much, I'm looking to buy a decent watch, until I started researching I'd never look at a Seiko but now I know how good they are, again thank for a cool video, cheers from Ireland.
My wife and I have been laughing our asses off watching this video, we are definitely going to buy this watch now. Just subscribed to your channel, keep it up brother you’re a great reviewer!
First of all thanks for this video I can not decide but black falls through with me ever and metal too. Brown or blue, you made it harder for me because many bracelets look so good on this awesome watch * lol * I will probably opt for the brown gentlement leather bracelet.
The Hadley Roma is the best. By far. So sexy. The first one you showed. I picked up that 40mm Tisell Type B cuz of one your last videos. That Miyota movement! I've had it for a week and I love it. The thing that gets me about the Seiko 5 is that it's 38mm. Too small for me, but I do own one and I love it, but it's sparsely worn.
exactly, seiko 5 just need a strap change, the stock bracelet/strap does do its justice! sadly, most of the people are turned away because of the stock look
Howzit brah! Love the strap combinations.... Cant wait for more of 'em coming soon on more seikos... Out of the watch question, did u went to UH manoa ?? Neewayz, mahalo for da vids brah....
Thanks, man! I did not go to UH. I went to Harvard Law :p Just kidding! I went to UH Maui but then dropped out when I got a job for exactly what I was going to school for. :p Alohaz!

Had to wait for a while before I got my own piece and I tell you, its now my regular watch! I bought 4 straps (3 silicones, 1 mesh) and its so true!!! This watch is a chameleon as it complements every single strap. My friends always notice it. Cheers!!! Btw, I bought mine from a store for $62. A definite STEAL!!!!
Hi, I just ordered this watch and waiting for it to arrive excitedly. Now I am hunting down good looking straps for this beauty. Can you confirm me whether it fits 18mm or 20 mm straps? Different websites seem to have different lug width for this watch
difference between this and the seiko srpe53. I saw both reviews on your channel, and the only difference I can tell is the dial time markers (round vs straight). Any more technical specs I should keep in mind before making the decision? Thanks

Great video buddy, love the humor and those transitions hilarious :D I was gonna buy the SNK809 but this one's gorgeous, especially with leather straps (I don't really like metal ones for some reason). I never wore a watch and I started searching for something on the cheap side. I like the minimalistic Swedish design but it was out of my price range. Then I stumble upon on Hamilton Khaki (which is also too expensive) so I found the alternative - the 809. I started binging your videos and then I saw this gem. I never thought I'd like the dress type watch :). I think it's great for casual wear, depending on the straps. What do u think? ps. Sorry for the long post.
@@nw7053 I bought SNK809 and it was too small for my 7 inch wrist. I gave it to my nephew shortly after. It's a great watch though. Only thing I didn't like was the lack of saphire. That mineral is scratchable as fuck
Strangely, Watchsleuth describes the watch as having a 20mm lug, while the manufacturer says 18mm. I will wait for my new SNKE51 to arrive before buying any strap! www.watchsleuth.com/seiko5finder/search/?MOD=SNKE51
I've been planning to get this, but the only version available in India comes with the notched strap requirement...which sucks! All my current straps will either need to be cut or will be unuseful.
Wait where exactly did u cut the mesh bracelet with your Dremel? Would this watch make a good case for Milgauss mod ? I'm want this watch just to make the Milgauss mod. But I want the metal bracelet that will fit without any cutting? I don't mind removing links from straps but I have never cut the mesh .

That blue leather strap (7.47 - 9.43) is just PERFECT for that watch. Personaly, I would keep it on the watch all the time.
It is glorious, isn't it!!
The tan one before this one also looks amazing, I really, really want this watch now
@@minitwatch Hello Sir. Where did you get the blue strap ? How large is it ? 20 mm ? Thank you very much.

That blue suede is VERY slick.
The Blue strap is killing it

Perfect! This is why I do it! I'm glad I could help!
Love it when you zoomy zoom on the strappy straps
I like all the options u are showing no one shown like this , love it
Well done.
Gives me ideas for bands.
Probably spend more on all the bands than I did on the watch.
I find nothing wrong with that :) Cheers!
Your laugh is just crazy man 😂😂😂😂 I love your reviewing and how you tolk 😂😂😂😂
The red one at the end is lush. That and the black one were the only ones I liked.
I love all the strappy straps.
Hard to choose, huh! I'm facing that dilemma.
Cool, it's dinner and a show. Nice touch with the sock puppet. Keep them coming.
The blue suede strap, goes bang on with the dial. It's a match made in heaven if I may say do!

Just got this watch today .. The dark deep blue dial is stunning, dark brown/oxblood strap is what I'm looking to put this on.
Lmao your description of the Nantucket blue blue strap. So innocent, so pure!

I jam home the 22mm benchmark blue suede strap onto my 2nd gen orient bambino. It’s my most-complimented strap
I would recommend the SARB 33 for blending into an art gallery.

it has been discontinued... sadness

Anyway, great video! Definitely going for the blue strap.
I ordered already the watch after looking at this video omg
I think the second last one was the best. The black leather strap with white stitching. Would’ve been better if there was an all black leather strap 👌
Benchmark blue sude👍. Great video
Can't go wrong with that combo! Thanks, man!!
