I have a detail (maybe it's stupid). In Infinity war, when Captain America and team arrives in Wakanda, when they get out of their jet, Banner bows to T'Challa. But T'Challa says we don't do that here. But in Black Panther movie, in the starting, we see that T'Chakka's brother indeed bows to T'Chakka when he arrives in the room. This might indicate how T'Challa is different from T'Chakka in the way of ruling. He also meets T'Chakka in his dream and tells him that he was wrong. Which maybe indicates he has changed the way in which his father ruled. A different ruler than what his father was.
When Tony ask For the shield he says something like ‘this what I needed’ and then uses it to balance the pipe. I read that scenes as Cap being the balance that will make all of Tony’s creation to be successful. In Ultron we see Tony’s creation going Rogue and then in End game Ironman had to come in terms with Captain America.
He also was drinking the chlorophyll in IM 1 when he's repainting the MKIII suit red. Meaning, he's already been dealing with the poisoning before the palladium gas explosion. Also, notice that Hammer's hands are very orange tinted, meaning he's been using artificial tanning.
Same. It's not as good overall as Iron Man 1, but as my buddy Jimmy puts it "It definitely has some higher highs". I just watched them back to back the other day on my day off, and I had to admit that IM1 is the better film, but IM2 is still my favorite installment in the MCU. War Machine!!!
I actually just finished reviewing Iron Man 2, and I had forgotten how good it really was. I enjoy it much more than Iron Man 3. It might actually be my favorite as well.
The donut scene where Fury said: "I am very real. I'm the realest person you're ever gonna meet" reminds me of Spider Man Far From Home post credit scene.
7:45 I thought so too at first but in "Endgame," the Ancient One says "Dr Strange is performing surgery," during the Battle of New York from the First "Avengers" film. Just another instance of an implied connection that's severed by the plothole gaps in the timeline of the MCU.
Didn't he try the laser against the Chitauri space slug in Avengers too? Right before the "Story of Jonah" part? I honestly don't remember, I just remember a red beam
The Easteregg w/ Tony on stage w/ the dancing girls like Captain America could also show how Tony always wanted the attention of his father but he always talked about Cap so Tony tries to be "like cap"
I like the theory that Howard using the expo map as building blocks for Tony to create the new element was based on his studies on the Tesseract and that the tesseract is essentially the same kind of technology Asgard is built upon or what a human would see as "magic" So in the Avengers when Thor strikes Tony with lightning from Mjolnir its compatible with his suit which is why he gets the power boost rather than being severely damaged.
Top 3 favorite things about this video: 3. I learned a bunch of new stuff about this movie (that I personally think is better than Iron Man 3). 2. The shots at Elon Musk naming his child were super unexpected and hilarious. 1. The calming, chill music in the background. Sitting in an apartment in NYC as Covid-19 is temporarily taking a backseat to the riots taking place all over the country, there seems to be little footing and stability into what we're dealing with. 2020 has been a rough year for everyone. I'm confined to my apt and everything on social media is emotionally draining. I was already looking to this video as a form of escapism, but getting that accompanied with calming music was a nice touch. Keep it up with that and obviously the videos. Well done and thank you!

Yeah works incredibly well in setting things up. I think people were just mad at the time because that was the main focus and they had to wait years for the next one. Now you’re just used to 2 or 3 a year so don’t mind when they just tease stuff
Great analysis as always, for what for me is a criminally underrated film because of all its foreshadowing and great dialogue and elivery from all especially Justin Hammer "Is this my birthday?", and Nick Fury (He just Took It?!; Then you can solve the riddle of your Heart). I think though you missed highlighting 3 important foreshadowings of Tony's ultimate fate: First in Iron Man, Yinsen gives Tony his whole new moral compass with "Don't waste your life.." and the redemptive power of sacrifice. Yinsen is who we must truly thank for saving the world. Then, in Iron Man 2, we have Tony first questioning "a little tough to digest that the whole future is riding on me..", and then Howard Stark tells him "you will change the world". Surely, all these words returned to Tony in just before his final heroic act. Thanks and keep posting great content for us please!
Excellent video overall, but you missed out on mentioning that Prince Namor A.K.A. the Sub Mariner's home of Atlantis in the MCU was also on the map as an easter egg when Tony and Nick Fury are discussing matters in that scene 16:02, Kevin Feige at the time having a grand vision and plan for the MCU laid out in the first few of their movies. Still one day maybe with; Fantastic Four or Black Panther 2 and Phase 4 and 5? We'll possibly see if Namor eventually turns up and the map finally pays everything off since this movie's little scene here, huh! Cheers, cool vid.
also the character Bambi Arbogast makes her debut in Iron Man 2 and returns (voice only) in Iron Man 3. She first debuted in Iron Man comics in 1979 and is the secretary of the CEO of Stark Industries.
15:30 Tony also used the small dart rockets at the beginning of Age of Ultron when he breached Strucker’s base and took out some of his henchmen. “Good talk!”
I found a new detail. (or maybe it's just a stupid one) In civil war, when Cap, Tony and Bucky are searching for Zemo in the Siberian Hydra facility, Tony says "I got heat signatures." To which Captain asks "How many ?" Tony replies "Uh, one." Indicating, off course, Helmut Zemo who was waiting for them. Also those super soldiers were present, but they were dead. So, no chance of heat signatures from them. But there was one more person present there whom Friday could not detect. It was T'Challa. Maybe because of his vibranium suit. Just a simple detail I found.
Larry Ellison of Oracle was also there towards the beginning after Tony signed the autographs from the expo. He referred to him as the "oracle of Oracle"
I absolutely love Iron Man 2. It was probably the movie I rewatched most all the way up through phase 2, and then Avengers, Guardians, and Winter Soldier started catching up with it. But Iron Man 2 is an absolutely blast to watch. Love it
@@heavyspoilers - most definitely. Lots of great details in here, even things like the shirt detail or “it’s always you”. Really great stuff that don’t make a big deal out of, and the subtlety is what makes it so good.
Great video. Can't wait for Iron Man 3, it became my favorite movie once the entirety of the MCU films were released. The film makes you look at Spiderman homecoming in a completely different way. Tony tells Peter if he's nothing without the suit than he shouldn't have the suit because Tony spent the entirety of Iron Man 3 without his suit leaning that exact lesson.
2:17 Also Hammer’s hands are an orange tint. Meaning he probably spray tans himself or rubs on an artificial bronzer. Meaning he either doesn’t like, or too lazy to go see, the sun. He thinks he’s too good for the sun.
Tesseract is another name for a hypercube (n=4), a four dimensional analog of a cube. The wire frame drawing in Howard Stark's notebook is a projection of a tesseract that one might find in a geometry textbook.
Note: I don't remember the specifics right now but I remember seeing in a comments section before that the Ex Wife didn't work because it's a missile with a cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine (RDX) burst (same stuff in C4) designed to be fired from long ranges and activates by building up mass amounts of kinetic energy, presumably by accelerating to sonic speeds; it didn't work because it wasn't used properly. However, we've also seen that Tony already perfected the idea of a subsonic bunker buster missile long before in Iron Man 1 against the tank in Gulmira, so again Hammer being all show but still behind Tony. This also pops up again in Iron Man 3 during the attack on the house when Tony throws a jammed wrist missile and shoots it causing it to explode on a chopper.

The new element he creates is vibranium, and he uses caps prototype shield to level the particle accelerator that created vibranium.. which is what caps shield is made of. I love it
I doubt that it's vibranium. If it would be so easy to produce, it would've been everywhere after that success. Because it's too useful (as Wakanda has shown us). I think his new element is some derivative of the Tesseract research.
Its not vibranium... Its the element that the tesaract is made of. If you keep an eye on the notes from Howard you can see that it was the tesaract that he was studying. Thats why it produces so much power.
at 17:39 if that is the same soldier then he got demoted. in the first film he was a Lt Col (dark oak leaf) in the second movie hes a Major, its yellow (light oak leaf). wonder if the blown up plane got him that demotion lol
@Heavy Spoilers: When the suitcase of Howard's was opened and you mentioned the first issue of Captain America was revealed, you failed to mention at the very bottom of the cover was Bucky saluting the reader. First and last thing Howard saw when closing/opening the lid was the Winter Soldier. Dun dun dunnnn… :)
7:57 but the times won't match. During the events of the first avenger movie, Dr. Strange was performing surgery; meaning he became master of the mystic arts later. Iron Man 2 happened two years before Avengers.
7:49 as someone that suffers from crippling back pain (I can barely stand long enough to make a cup of tea) I feel so sorry for that trooper actually it would likely be a Lieutenant maybe even a commander as it’s airforce (just creating myself here) it’s even worse knowing the poor guy survived it, I mean I know it’s not real (thankfully) but damn that level of pain I can’t even imagine it.
Love ACDC but I think it would have been better to have a Black Sabbath theme since they did end the first movie with "Ironman." Paranoid and War Pigs would have fit in the other two movies nicely.
Great vid! So the characters of Ivan and Anton Vanko are a little bit of an amalgamation from their comic book counterparts. In the comics there is no "Ivan Vanko" but the name is listed as an alias of Anton Vanko the wearer of the Crimson Dynamo. Whiplash whom Ivan seems to be embodying in the comics is Anton Vanko but they say he's no relation to the Crimson Dynamo. So there are two Anton Vankos. The story of the Whiplash/Anton Vanko is that an Iron Man clone destroyed his village killing his father Igor Vanko which pushed him on a path of revenge. So it seems Anton Vanko in the film is based on Igor Vanko in the comics and Ivan Vanko is based on Anton Vanko/Whiplash from the comics but uses the name Ivan Vanko which has only ever been used as an alias to Anton Vanko/Crimson Dynamo in the comics.
@@heavyspoilers another interesting piece of trivia is that Anton Vanko/Whiplash of the comics didn't debut until Iron Man vs. Whiplash #1 which published in Jan 2010. It was a four parter that ran until April 2010 which is when Iron Man 2 first played at the El Captain Theatre though released for all public in May. Filming of Iron Man 2 wrapped up in July 2009 so it would seem they were collaborating with Marvel Comics to bring out a comic version prior to the film release. This just adds to the list of MCU created characters that ended up making it to the comics. One could make the case that because of comic adaptations they all have comic counterparts but i'm specifically referring to the 616 (main) universe.
i love how everytime tony wears the black vest, he has an arc reactor stuck in his chest. plus it's always at his lowest point in the movie we see it in

I have never been this early !!!
woah woah woah how did you pronounce mjolnir at 14:30
at 17:39 if that is the same soldier then he got demoted. in the first film he was a Lt Col (dark oak leaf) in the second movie hes a Major, its yellow (light oak leaf). wonder if the blown up plane got him that demotion lol
-14:51 ish we also saw Tony’s vengeance get the best of him in Civil War when he learned brain washed Barnes killed his parents. 😔
Heyyyyy you shouted me out thank you you made my day
No problem! Thanks for the Easter egg, made the video much better so I appreciate it
7:57 but the times won't match. During the events of the first avenger movie, Dr. Strange was performing surgery; meaning he became master of the mystic arts later. Iron Man 2 happened two years before Avengers.
That bird is #1
7:49 as someone that suffers from crippling back pain (I can barely stand long enough to make a cup of tea) I feel so sorry for that trooper actually it would likely be a Lieutenant maybe even a commander as it’s airforce (just creating myself here) it’s even worse knowing the poor guy survived it, I mean I know it’s not real (thankfully) but damn that level of pain I can’t even imagine it.
Love ACDC but I think it would have been better to have a Black Sabbath theme since they did end the first movie with "Ironman." Paranoid and War Pigs would have fit in the other two movies nicely.
16:06 also there is a dot in the atlantic ocean between brazil and africa for namor and atlantis ?
Great
I actually love Iron Man 2 ngl
Nc thank you for making my favorite hero epic man keep it up
Ey thank you too! Have a great weekend
Fun Fact: Justin Hammer is in the Ultimate comics in the Spiderman series showing up as Doc Ock's main traget of VENGENCE !!
Ah nice bit of trivia for the video. Thank you
@@heavyspoilers another interesting piece of trivia is that Anton Vanko/Whiplash of the comics didn't debut until Iron Man vs.
Iron Man 2 - Best Iron Man Movie on my opinion
Say waaaaaaaat
@@heavyspoilers yes
What’s the benefactor role that you eluded to with Justin Hammer?
He calls himself a benefactor in Iron Man 2 and Walton Goggins character in Ant Man and The Wasp says that he’s being funded by The Benefactor
i love how everytime tony wears the black vest, he has an arc reactor stuck in his chest. plus it's always at his lowest point in the movie we see it in
Omg nobodys talking about that thumbnail, jeez Scarlett Johanson its so damn beautiful
