The word Hindu was what persians called Bharatvasis. It means the people living beyond Sindhu river. Hindutva implies India's culture. Religion and culture and different things. Sanskrit originated in India and its apabrahmsas are what are spoken these days. Changing religion doesn't mean changing language or culture.
