This movie is with a wonderful story about religious harmony. Shivaji who was a Hindu by birth was brought up as Muslim on some revenge issue. In this song the friend of Muslim Bride of Shivaji sings teasing and mocking at the bride as if the bride calls the Groom as atthan(hubbi) after marriage. Asaad reaction of enjoying and singing along shows that he knows Tamil very well. Jute nahi bolow.

Very well said Assad bhai. It sounds so simple, but it is not. That was the strength of MSV. When Lata Mangeshkar listened to this song, she wanted to sing such beautiful songs in Tamil. But MSV who was numero uno didn't prefer Lata singing in Tamil. MSV was always particular about pronunciation and diction of the language while singing. He didn't think Lata could do that justice to Tamil. He mentioned it in an old interview.
