When I published my privacy policy page, WP didn't automatically add it to the bottom of my website footer like you suggested in the video. How do I correct this?
You can go to the appearance in the dashboard and look for widgets, there find the privacy policy page, and drag it to the footer. Again you also check the customization option and head to footer. But by default it should be there.

Page will be there in most of the cases, You can do on your demo site to check the compatibility
