- Here's the most in depth character guide I can make for Jiraiya The Gallant AKA Pervy Sage!
He's a fun character to play and has high damaging jutsu accompanied by his unique infinite combos! I hope you guys learn from this tutorial and consider picking up Jiraiya for your character pool!

I always appreciate it when proper credit is given, i've witnessed it many times with mine but also other people's findings just being taken & uploaded without any mention.. like this though you contribute to making the community a better place, more people should follow that example!
A few things about the guide. When you mentioned infinite combo i was kinda hoping that you'd show his unique infinite too that i've shared on twitter where you delay the last input & then ninja-dash for a reset off the up-combo, i haven't seen people upload it here yet, so that would've made a nice surprise for people to see! UJ cancel from first air hit aswell would've been worth showing since it's his fastest way of landing an UJ, but i guess it's too late now 😅
You gave enough important tips though that may make people want to use him more, like the blockstring mindgames & what you could set up if you guess right & they do a counter, it's not just for him but also most characters in general who have such gaps, so it's a good fundamental tip you gave!
With the right mindset & the knowledge you gain from practicing ALOT, people may see his true setup potential & how to make the most beneficial use of his tools in battles. His tilt is probably my fav in the game, love using it haha.. It having a slow start-up has its benefits too for mindgames. Not every character needs a lightning quick tilt, Storm 4 is all about switching up characters & strategies afterall :P

Oh my god I completely forgot about the up combo delay! 😭😭 I was using it after I learned it from you too! With the 1 air hit to UJ, I can't seem to do it, I was going to feature it but I didn't see the point in featuring something I can't do 😂 maybe because I'm too slow perhaps?
@@PoisonedOkami Well, that can happen. I guess it's to keep in mind for a future advanced guide then maybe :p
And lmao! Yeah, for the UJ cancel you gotta be quick. Try to buffer the chakra loading for the UJ while you're doing the air hit, then once you touch the ground all you need to do is press circle once.

Great video m8 had to instantly click on this. Love Jiraiya use him all the time and surprised that no one uses his other awakening combo (same w/ kushina).
Oh and one thing I always do is 4 hits into air hit then switch (while jiraiya continues ground combo) into other characters tilt/combo- does so much damage & safe.

For the jump hit combo, am I holding the left stick in a direction or constantly pushing it between hits
This was so genuinely helpful holy shit. Jiraiya is sick I thought people said he was slow and comboless but they were wrong. This character can style for DAYS. Have you thought about doing a PTS Lee guide? He seems really cool to play. I just wanna see if he's technical since I can't find any other guides like yours on TH-cam.

He already got a speed buff when this game came out! 😂😂
Him being of the slower variant of characters is actually good in various ways! Being slow means they gave him a good quick damage output to balance it out. He's a heavy hitter with his normal combos too, not just his jutsu. His first few hits do crazy damage compared to other characters & becomes deadly if you cancel after like 3 hits and go into his first air hit for a quick ground reset so you can ground combo anew, you can get alot of damage out of a few hits before your opponent realizes it.
Another positive thing about his low speed = bigger delay window for combo inputs, which is a good thing. Instead of mashing during a combo you can delay the inputs, making your combo animations slower, most people have the habit to substitute from combos after a few hits, slowing down your combo makes it more predictable & you see it better, jump canceling is easier like this too compared to when you mash & already entered the next step of the combo animation. Keep all this in mind when using slower characters for an easier game!

Good pressing with the first hit jump and first hit again but online 70% time is not working ad well for the frame lag or imput lag
Yeah, input delay is probably a factor for that

@@eee-rx6ev Hmm if you wanna play really hard core, Sage of Six paths Madara, Sasuke the Last and Danzo. Another is Minato, Temari and Choji. Or basically any character as Temari and choji for supports. But those teams are really OP and people might rage quit so if you want nicer teams, Sasuke the last, Shippuden Naruto and Hinata. Orochimaru, Pain and Itachi. Basically just look at a character you like and build a team with different support types. Minato, Tobirama and Hashirama are good together too
