I like the workmanship and traditional designs, but care must also be taken of artisans working on the site by providing them with protective eye goggles, ear plugs, protective shoes, hand gloves and masks so they don't breathe in the harmful stone/ marble dust.... It does not cost too much money and will protect these beautiful hardworking people from occupational health hazards and improve their quality of life.
In India, the British started ignoring our traditional artisans and reduced them to just labourers, so that they could dump their factory made products in India. Unfortunately We have not done much for them since independence. Time has come to respect them and give them their rightful due, because their skills are Our collective heritage.
