Welcome to Lovebites world. If you are like me...no turning back. You barely need any other bands. I only listen to two nowadays; Lovebites and Band-Maid
Re. Swan Song: Miyako, who composes most of their music, is a concert-level classical pianist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed Swan Song using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude. (There is a better clip of this, featuring her playing the Etude as a prelude to Swan Song, but you got the idea). All five members of the band are Jedi-level musicians, but I think Miyako is a once-in-a generation talent, a true savant. Only one complaint: You should give more love to Miho, the founder, chief metalhead and soul of the band. She and Haruna make up one of the best back-lines ever in rock or metal.
Well said . They should do a concert with full ochestra , it would make worldwide news. yes Miyako is 1 in a million musician and so beautiful. Ridiculous !
MY first reaction is that the words "NO MISTAKES" on your shirt are appropriate for LOVEBITES... as you will consistently see and hear if you continue this adventure! Very nice to hear you recognize Haruna's fills. She is a phenom. Also a 'plus' for me is your comment on "intricate harmonized guitar licks". These comments tell me that you are susceptible to addiction... "a lot of little details going on. Very tight." Yes, exactly, and relentlessly! Although the guitar solos and harmony-duets are beyond BEYOND, when you begin to understand the lyrics Asami takes soaring above the onslaught of Metal, a whole new aspect of their talent and importance in today's bizarre world emerges. Not to forget bassist, leader, co-founder, composer, lyricist Miho, the foundation of LOVEBITES. Thanks for promoting LOVEBITES! "Mom" says not to 'subscribe' on the first 'reaction' so I'll be waiting... &:-) I suggest progressive "Edge Of The World" with [cc] lyrics: th-cam.com/video/FGRxXCDtRFA/w-d-xo.html or thrash "M.D.O.": th-cam.com/video/NW0hq66Gp9Q/w-d-xo.html Their 40 song catalog includes numerous Metal sub-genre, often within a song, and a few with a 'rock' edge.

Welcome to lovebites, they are a powermetal band but do all sorts of other metal genres aswell. Miyako is a classical pianist and only picked the guitar at 18 and composes most of their songs. Check The Hammer of Wrath next, or anything else other people recommend, theres no bad song, just avoid bloodstock videos like the plague. For another amazing japanese band check Unlucky Morpheus - Angreifer live.
"The Hammer of Wrath": th-cam.com/video/S3vjrVtAvzE/w-d-xo.html The story on the Bloodstock recordings is, they were moved at the last minute from a smaller stage at the event and the "techs" on Main Stage were not properly prepared resulting in poor camera and audio of a fantastic performance. @@busy343 yeah i'm a bass player from the 60's and 70's and this is the best i've seen in many years. band maid and lovebites woke me up from my musical sleep over last 20 years !
They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan for awhile). Miho (bass, chief metalhead and soul of the band) recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" pocket nuke), and they went and found the two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands, and the whole group found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time. Miho and Miyako compose most of their music. They have only been around for about 4 years. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and they pretty much aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and now they’re taking it to another level. This was a medium-intensity song for them. They do everything from soulful power ballads to white-hot insane thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. One key to their sound is that the two shredders are so different in style and tone. Midori is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets really rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. (As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band.") You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Welcome to the Wolf-Pit!
Welcome to the best band on the planet mate :) Yes, Miyako, the insanely talented and one of the best musicians at this time, has several Dean guitars, including a custom made V-Shape. Others play ESP. Midori is the other talented guitarist, Haruna 150cm energizer bunny on drums, Asami killer vocals and Miho, the band leader and one of the founders, the underrated but insanely talented bassist. They have numerous epic songs, Epilogue (one of the best ballads), Edge of the World, Burden of Time (simultaneous guitar and keyboard play) Empty Daydream, more power/trash: Thunder Vengeance, Signs of Deliverance (dual guitar overhand tapping), Raise Some Hell and another 15-ish songs, some mentioned by others. MV: Shadowmaker, When Destinies Align, Rising. Also check their cover of Eagly Fly Free from Helloween, they nailed it. In general, all songs from their 3 albums and two EP's are a delight and epic. Other bands: You did Band-Maid, so try Nemophila, Scandal, BabyMetal, Aldious, Marys Blood - all female bands; You also did Unlucky Morpheus, try Wagakki Band and Asterism. Since you listened to Dimash and Diana, you really have to listen to So Hyang. She is female version of Dimash in technique and control and even better in emotional conveyance.

Yeah mate you just sow the winners of 2018 in category for best new metal band. Lovebites are formed 2016 in Tokyo from ex Destrose band members Miho the bassist and composer ( she is the band leader) and Haruna the drummer ( best female power metal drummer in the world at the moment) the members are Asami the vocalist and songwriter ( she was R&b and jazz singer before to join the band) Midori the lead guitarist and backing vocals with the blonde hair ( one of the fastest female guitarists in the world at the moment) and Miyako the other lead guitarist, pianist and composer ( she is the main composer of the band). Lovebites are influenced by 80s metal. Their last album Electric pentagram is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. Miho the bassist mentioned once in interview- we are here to make something memorable. The band want to step closer to their inspiration bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Halloween, Metallica and Slayer. So welcome to the Lovebites planet. They are the best all female power metal band in the world right now. Try next the open show song Thunder vengeance from the same concert Five of a kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo from 2020 year. Enjoy it.
Definitely one of the best Japanese bands around. I think they are better than Band-Maid and Baby Metal, in my opinion. On a par with the Wagakkiband, I feel
Big statement but after just this song, I think I can see why. Was definitely an immediate like from me. Wagakki is still on the to-do list for sure. 😉

There we are, as easy as that! I don't think any other band in the world could play this with just five in the group. Maybe Nightwish? What a great introduction to Lovebites. For a more down and dirty thrash song from them, try Hammer Of Wrath: th-cam.com/video/S3vjrVtAvzE/w-d-xo.html
Let’s see if you will continue your journey with Lovebites, nice reaction so far but didn’t sell it for to subscribe as of yet. Maybe in your next reaction
Dude, I'm no expert, but wouldn't making sure that the sound and picture are synched be the absolute #1 priority for a channel like this? Because it sure is not in this video. Edit: Guess it is only asynch before the first pause, but yea, major turnoff that will make most people skip the video. Also: Try "Holy War" live at the same show.

If this was the last day you could live on this earth
World you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time

You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
Floating lotus
You are so graceful

Enjoy it.
Thanks very much for the info! :)
lovebites and unlucky morpheus are on another level.
@@ThomFoolery1 👍🏻👍🏻Maybe be draw some flack, but just my opinion🥴🥴🥴
@@bazkeen it's very dangerous expressing your musical preferences round these parts so I commend you. 😂
@@ThomFoolery1 Big target on my back😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great reaction Thomas. You will not be disappointed with other songs Lovebites performs, they literally play all sorts of metal. Check out this killer thrash song called "Thunder Vengeance". Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/w-d-xo.html
They are the only other band fighting Nightwish for my heart.
Let’s see if you will continue your journey with Lovebites, nice reaction so far but didn’t sell it for to subscribe as of yet. Maybe in your next reaction
by the way, so cool t-shirt. Bob Ross is forever.
there was no chior playing the people you heard singing at the end that wasnt the band was the crowd in the audience
Please do Raise Some Hell. Unholy power from these girls.
see also Hammer of Wrath by lovebites
Dude, I'm no expert, but wouldn't making sure that the sound and picture are synched be the absolute #1 priority for a channel like this? Because it sure is not in this video.
Edit: Guess it is only asynch before the first pause, but yea, major turnoff that will make most people skip the video.
Also: Try "Holy War" live at the same show.
Thanks for letting me know, I didn't realize. Doubt it'll be the last mistake I make haha
You can't react to japanese bands until you react to X Japan.
Yes you can. X Japan are alright, but nowhere near my favourites, Vow Wow.
