- Check out this fantastic "Highlight Reel" from the heartwarming film "Mr.GO" from Dexter Studios!! "Mi-seu-teo Go" (original title) A 15-year-old circus ringmaster Wei-wei is left all alone with gorilla Ling-ling after her grandfather passes away. Thanks to her grandfather"s love for baseball, Ling-ling was trained to play baseball and has developed remarkable hitting skills. The materialistic sports agent Sung Chung-Su hears of this remarkable gorilla and signs Ling-ling to play in the professional South Korean baseball league. Dreaming of success, the World's first gorilla pinch hitter and his 15-year-old trainer begin their run in the Korean Baseball League.

Absolutely fantastic - it is always awesome to see the 'behind' the scenes work
This film should get released in the US, so it can be eligible for the Oscars. Possible nomination: best visual effects (very impressive IMO).
Why? King Kong was released in 2005 and had slightly better effects.

I have to admit having done quite a bit of CG myself it didn't even occur to me that the crowd could have been CG. the only floor that I found was that the smoke sim @ 4:20 was a bit over the top. the level of detail in the modelling and the animation was incredible for example when the gorilla had drips of water running down him.

The Gorilla shots are a bit weird for me as there is no muscle simulation underneath and its skin deformation looks very simple and cheap. I gues you thought because the fur will be applied on skin it doesnt matter to use high level muscle simulation or not, which is a wrong idea many people follow. it matters. if I were you I spend much more time to work on muscle simulation, or you want to hire me to do it for you !
