XSR 155 is a cosplay bike. Bigframe with a tiny high revving 150cc engine. Tank is plastic and has monoshock. It's pretending to be a classic but has none of the good characteristics. Pretty average.
I do this all the time when not enough to turn. Just dnt force like this, when the stand is still on ground, pull your bike just to lift off the ground then rotate your bike to clockwise.
Depends on the bike and the lean of the stand. Do not use impact as your stand can shatter. Too low and there will be too much leverage. Too heavy and it just won't support it. For example, I can do this on my CBR600RR (417lb) but no way I can do this on an enfield 650 (leaning way harder + 480 lbs).
The side stand is strong enough to support the bike weight, but putting the entire weight on it will affect it and might even damage it. If it was capable of holding the entire weight, they won't be giving you double stands separately
I do that to my 250 daily since it's much more convenient, problem is the stock side stands were too thin and bent overtime, I just bought another stand with the same size but thicker build, never had the same problem since
@@TripleRS2024 Force does not matter, direction of force is relevant. @@identitymatrix But the placement and support of the side stand, is placed on the largest portion of the chassis. Which means it would fully support the bike when an accidental fall would occur, hence the varying thickness of side stands and nuts that are placed to support such. Chassis are built with proportional weight which is mostly behind the engine bay, where most of the pedals, stands, or the suspensions are placed. Though there is a possibility of breaking the side stand it is not common unless the stand itself is rusty or the sockets are faulty. It is engineered in the best possible way since these companies care more about their products than consumers, they would not release a unit the has failed every test, unless it is made from China. Rotating the stand would not matter much, since the distribution of the weight isn't changed, yes there is greater pressure because to force of gravity pushes the bike downward at an angle, but I can assure you that the chassis wasn't built to bend that easy, nor the support would snap.
Some times when there is no space for turning when some idiots park infront and back of your vehicle this thing helps because there is no space for turing properly
Its a common thing to do but avoid it till it is necessary. You wont snap the stand but the you can snap the part where it is joint to the bike ehile spinning. Necause that joint isnt meant to take spinning forces
I’ve done this with all my bikes for 20 years, never had a problem. Although, I don’t bang it like that. I let the bike rest and tilt it up. The shock of hitting the stand down for momentum would be a lot worse than letting it rest on the stand like normal and tilting it up.

I tried this with my classic 350. The good news is im getting a new side stand this week only.
😂😂
Lol
😂😂😂
That's the reason i don't even dare to try this with my hunter😂RE bikes are heavy and their stands won't be able to withstand this torture
i am doing this since last 4 years. No problem.
the stand: *cries*
the ground: *cries*

rip your stand. don't do that
That's how I always do it ..
If the stand rips it was not strong enough and doesn't deserve to be on my bike
I'll swap it out or have it custom made
Its pretty normal in the bikers community all over the world😊
It's not got hurt anything! Ive been using this method to spin my bikes forever! Never bent or broke anything
It’s only a 125 you can basically squat them bikes 😂
It wont break it dont worry

Way too Overpriced for its specs. For the same amount, you could buy a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 with ABS.

For the xsr your side stand bracket is bolted to your engine. That technique can crack your engine in the long run
Watching you break that kick stand is very entertaining 😂
Itd take like 20 years of doing this to cause any damage to the side stand...
I do that to my bike and guess what.. this is my 3rd side stand replacement😂😂😂😂
Bullshit
Actually the bike should replace you...
I'm doing this with my NS from 2019, still does the job ..almost daily.💯
Apart from the exhaust, this bike looks like an RD350LC from a distance. Cool.
Which bike is this
Which model of yamaha is this??
Respect for fellow vertical challengers I don't like motorcycles but I salute those who do and are competent with using em. Stay safe out there~
Which bike is this ?model ?
Did you trim your seat?
If you keep doing it often then that stand will break sooner or later
No it won't. I've been doing it forever on all my bikes never bent or broke anything
yeah it breaks, definitely, but 20 years later :))))) I have 4 bikes and been doing this every day
And if you play with your pen15 Jesus will break your eyesight... gotcha.😂
It won't break if it's a lighter CC
But doesn't not apply the same to a heavier CC.
@@kamikrazywarboy2008😂😂
I do this too but only when I don't have enough space to turn the bike around.
I also do the same with my car instead of reverse gear.😂

Yamaha xsr 155
did u put lowering kit to ur xsr?
Nope, still the stock height.
that’s how you help stand manufacturers

Yes, it will probably snap. It's obviously not made for this. Direction of force is important.
