Vulfmon isn't new actually. Jack released a handful of stuff under the name like a decade ago. Bandcamp has a 6-track EP called "Interstitials I" that includes an early version of Disco Ulysses (titled "My First Beat"), and there's pre-Vulfpeck versions of Wait for the Moment (originally called "Wait For It") and It Gets Funkier released under Vulfmon.
one time in highschool a substitute pe teacher played (i believe it was intentional) the biggest trick on the whole school. she gave us the option to do something similar to this dance instead of the scheduled x-country running "test" and most of us feeling lazy opted for the 'dance'. for the next days the whole school walked like rusted robots, i still remember the pain in my legs :D
This is the most relatable vulf track I've witnessed. This man summed up what I feel, and do, at house parties. Just sitting there on a chair subtly grooving my body.
My first exposure to this particular venue and I have to admit an instant liking. There is something hypnotic about the funk mixed with the moves that makes you want to jam and yet the tale told in the lyrics is fantastical and funny. It’s kind of like wearing a tuxedo just to eat Jell-O.
The super super tasty left-ear guitar licks throughout the first bit of the song just make this entire track. I could listen to the backing track on loop forever. It’s an anthem.
Man, after a long and horrible week at work, I finally got home for the weekend and was in a horrific mood and was planning on canceling my plans with friends later, but this somehow completely turned that around and put me in the mood for socializing. So a genuine thank you, Jack. And thank you for yet another new dance to blow people away with!
Dancing like that could make him the funniest guy at a party. One of the silliest dances I have seen, and the song would still be funny even without a dance.
