Had the same thought. It’s super relevant to the overall Fontaine narrative, gives us more Furina, and does an excellent job of introducing Chevereuse. Actually feels actively harmful to leave it out of the game.
I know Inori Minase is a great seiyu and has tons of marvelous rolls, but honestly, Amber Lee Connors is just a way better Furina in my opinion. I guess it was the directors faut and not Minase's doing, but JP Furina sounds way too cute, way to soft, while EN Furina has a far greater range of expresions. She can be histerical, sad, arrogant, overjoyed... her voice can be super soft one moment and harsh the next one as if she were just one decibel from starting screaming in panic or exasperation. Again, I don't want to give the impresion that I don't know how great an actress Inori Minase is (she did a wondefull work as Rem, Hestia, Itsuki and many, many others) but in this case, at least for me, Amber Lee Connors is the definitive voice of Furina.
EN Furina is one example of when I really just prefer the English voices over the JP, like, EN Furina hits a lot more nuance that I think JP misses. Not that JP is outright bad ofc.
