@Skippy the Alien No I think Gene had a vision of the future that he thought we, the human race, could be. if only we saw it from outside our own reality of the time. It is a future we aspire to. Where principles matter, and truth was never denied. Working together collectively we solved our most pressing problems. Basically the US on steroids, with everyone contributing their part to society. I still work towards that future of a United Planet of Nations, that is no longer in climate crisis, maybe then we will be worthy of meeting other intelligent life.

In Australia, we don't have to binge watch. It's on every day. I have just finished watching Tsunkatse, where Seven-Of-Nine and Tuvok are captured and Seven has to fight The Rock's character, and the Hirogen guy. When it has run it's course of episodes, they will then put TNG back on, then Voyager, then TNG, then Voyager, and Enterprise is aired at the same time. For some reason, they dont air DS9. The tv station has not aired Discovery, so maybe it's on Foxtel. I wish they'd show all shows.

Did Jeri and Kate talk about their old feud? Seven and Janeway's relationship in the show was the best thing ever. I wish they would bring Kate Mulgrew back as admiral janeway in Picard season 2. She would be a powerful ally for Picard. If anything, Janeway has always been a maverick - despite being a very traditional starfleet rank climber.

@@citytrees1752 I want to see them talk about it constantly. But I also cringe at the idea of anyone asking them about it. I can just imagine both of them being exhausted and depressed by the idea that this thing that kind of ended up having to happen in public, ends up being the only thing anyone thinks about when they think about Kate and Jeri. They deserve the respect of us getting our grody little noses out of their business.

Love the concept of this vodcast. Makes me realize how much I miss this amazing group of performers. I'm actually rewatching Voyager at the moment. Grew up on TOS and then TNG, but with any of the other Star Trek series, I tend to skip episodes upon rewatching, but with Voyager I think I skipped only 1, maybe 2 episodes so far and I'm at season 6.
Always loved Voyager as one of my favorite ST series. I know people tend to emphasize that Janeway was the first female captain, but for me she was always just a captain (... who happened to be a woman). Small distinction maybe, but her authority always felt so natural and why wouldn't it. I loved all the other characters as well and the amount of depth and growth they allowed these amazing actors the express through them (not just in Voyager, but generally in ST as a whole)

It's home. Not a five year mission, but a home to all the men, women and children of Voyager.
And it radiated that vibe, it resonated as a home ship and that's why the crews bond will always hold a strong place in my heart and the theme song will never fail to elicit an emotional response
