I think you're spot on with your comments on nmixx being the perfect group for tiny desk. They are totally built for this and i think they thrive in these settings. I also agree that it's unlikely we will see other kpop groups performing there. There is to much risk, especially now that everyone is focused on live singing. Maybe a so called"vocal line" of a group but certainly not the whole group. You have to admit SQU4D is flexing on the rest of the industry right now. They know what they have.
I totally need to see your reactions to their individual appearances on Leemujin Service! Especially Lily’s first appearance (she was invited back for the 100th episode), which is incredible. Every member except Kyujin has been on the show (for now at least)
There are only a handful of Kpop groups ever that could pull this off. One take, live band, no pitch correction, no earbuds, no backing track, every member just killing it vocally. Sure, every Kpop group has one or two really good vocalists. But not like this. I've been out of the loop for a bit, so I am no aware of any other groups that would even try to do this right now.
I'll be honest it's too risky to perform on tiny desk unless this group is qualified like nmixx to perform, other groups can perform but with "special" if they can't pass the requirements on tiny desk. Like i said it's too risky, one group alongside with nmixx can definitely pass this, none other than mamamoo all members is skilled vocalists. (No hate for those group that some Kpop stan consider that their fave is a strong vocalist when it's just 2 or 3 members can support and the rest can't) unlike nmixx and mamamoo are both members can support/skilled vocalists which is qualified, both groups not afraid to hold a mic if they want to they'll sing.
I think there are plenty of groups that COULD do it, but I don't think the companies would let them do it. aespa, Billlie, Purple Kiss, Kiss of Life, Dreamcatcher would all KILL it if they had the opportunity to do it I think
@@ktwinzreact7915 As much as I want them to perform on tiny desk, I think it's highly doubtful specially on easpa considering SM entertainment is well known to "play safe move" but let's see if other groups can perform without "special" on their performance like nmixx do.
@@jhonvargas7539 Yes SM entertainment is holding them back and also SM is well known to "play safe move" they can't let easpa sing live, that's why I don't like their company, unlike JYP entertainment they'll let their artist to sing live.
@@jhonvargas7539 Tiny desk is considered highly performances, that's why I'm saying it's too risky considering that the focus is on live sound, showcasing raw talent without heavy reliance on backing tracks or complex staging. And due to the small performance space I think they can't hear themselves cuz the band is near you, also those shot gun mics with no in ear monitors are already risky cuz kpop groups are relying on that.
yoo, I realized a few hours after commenting (asking for you to react to this) that it was on a BINI related post, so I'm sorry hehe but i'm glad you managed to do it anyway! love the reaction

Will be interesting to see which group (if any) will be the next to do it!

All good! 😋
What's even crazier is that Lily wasn't feeling well that day
A literal FLEX
Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso Tiny Desk. It was musically great, very enjoyable and fun.
