Hi Had the same issue on mine.Cleaned out idle air control valve and changed injectors to new 440cc one. fixed my problem. Out of factory idle now, so smooth. keep in mind first thing to check is vacuum leak on your boost gauge should be -16 to -22 when warmed up on idle.
Thanks Alot! Ive sinced swapped ecu , ive cleaned and swapped my IACV with my other supra. Soo like you mentioned Injectors or vacuum leak are also on my list of possibilities. Mind you i have a really bad exhaust leak , not only that my car was running terribly with cut Knock sensor wires and incorrectly installed TPS plugs ( could possibly be incorrectly calibrated also) so im wondering if my 02 sensor is pretty average also. When i get some time ill start crossing bits off the list. Thanks for your help!
@@JoeyVanVeenYt knock sensor not working properly will pull back timing, o2 sensor is a must as I noticed improvements straight away. Remember it's an old car so change everything possible as it and old car and things will start to wear out over 20 to 25 years. TPS will also cause mentioned issue and may need calibration
@@JoeyVanVeenYt Bro just replaced the capacitors in my ecu, last week and it fixed every problem i had left. highly suggest you start with that. The capacitors were leaking and only have a life of 2 to 5000 hours from factory. Took away all the false codes and engine hesitation also. Cars a monster again.
@@joashk2818 Hell yeah! Nice work! Thats ben in my mind too...mind you ive tried 3 ecus in the car now with no luck. The ecu in my red supra works 100% so illl try that over the weekend 😁 glad to hear yours is running mint 😁
Good job bro! Rode Video Mic Pro Plus lol! maybe the only feedback I have is since you have a long video (17mins) consider adding some background music on time when you are speaking but it does not have to be too loud just something playing in the background. Soundcloud and TH-cam audio library has good music that is not copyrighted. other than that awesome car channel keep on it!
I have a 1993 supra and have misfires and bogging and exhaust popping i fixed all those issues when I got ecu repaired 1year ago now the problem is back
I see! Well i have an exhaust leak near the turbos to fix and my engine loom has been heavily tampered with so ill do those things regardless....then work my way to the ecu if need be!
@@JoeyVanVeenYt I replaced everything from the fuel ecu by pass fuel pump, filter sparkplugs, maf, iac, pvc, cleaning throttle nothing until i repaired the ecu thats when all my issues went away
yeah i have mate! i think its my engine loom...ive since pulled it off the car and the oxygen sensor wiring was bad aswell as the knock sensor wire was cut. not to mention a bad exhaust leak pre oxygen sensor..
Good advice! however having 2 supras i was able to interchange ecu's from my working vehicle and it didnt change anything. Since then ive investigated further ..ive just been slack and havnt been filming 😔
Joey Van Veen hey issue just started a few days ago. I changed my coils and plugs and still same issue. It happens when my car warms up as well. I am going to replace the MAP sensor which I noticed that it is broken at the bottom hopefully that will solve it. Might want to check yours as well 👍🏽
@@Blueimportztv ah yeap! i forgot to check that, my next bet is that my ecu is bad. My red supra was playing up and i changed the map sensor also and turned out to be a faulty ecu!...my car also has a exhaust leak before the 0xygen sensor so some people have advised me that its possibly reading incorrectly? ...stay in touch and we can try help each other out !
Update... replaced the map issue still persists. My mechanic told me to do a few things. 1. Check the cam sensors to see if they have oil on the plug/harness. They go bad. 2. Check igniter. Do you have another igniter? Swap them out and check to see if that fixes the issue. Let me know. Thanks!

Greats video man! Love the new mic!

Hello Mate, great content . was the spark plugs the issue or coil pack?
Thanks mate! Neither. Ive pulled ny wiring loom since this video. I also found disgusting welds on the stock exhaust manifold pre oxygen sensor 🤔

Did you fix the issue? I have the same with my Supra.
not yet my friend. is your issue a misfire or high idle that seems slightly jumpy? i just watched you video from 3 months ago and it sounded good?
