Can you help with this question:. A 100N force which makes as angle of 45° with the horizontal x-axis is to be replaced by two forces, a horizontal force F and a second force of 75N magnitude. Find F.
Watch video 06 of Basic Mech playlist and attempt the question. If you still can't solve. send your solution to me including a picture of the question to me on telegram
You can put it on the other side, but we are looking for the easiest way to obtain the direction, that is the angle the resultant force makes with the positive x axis
Kindly backtrack a bit to where we defined the cosine rule, 05:45 you realized that we defined the angle theta, and that what we used for the R force expression, so we are just translating what we've learnt from that section, to solve q1
I have a question, On your last problem when finding the direction why is it: Sin theta= 800 sin(60) / 721.11 and not Sin theta= 600 sin(60) / 721.11 ??? In your video, you are finding the angle between 800N and the Fr where infact you are going to solve for the angle of Fr and 600N the minus it to 30 deg. Please clarify I'm quite confuse. I got all 2 problems but the last one was questionable
The reason why it is 800sin(60)/721.11 is that, in finding alpha, considering the triangle on the right, the original 800N force is parallel to the line from FR to 600N, and so, asing the law of sines, sin of alpha/ the side opposite to alpha, and that is 800N. And you follow with the rest of the solution. So that's how come it's supposed to be 800N and not 600N. Kindly reply if you still don't get it. Thanks for watching....
+2ab cos (theta) is used to find the magnitude of the resultant force of two vectors a and B acting at an angle theta, While -2ab cos (theta) is used to find the third side of a triangle, with sides a and b and an angle theta
i recently checked and realized that i didnt write the correct prefix for the force in question 2, its supposed to be kilo newtons.... so sorry about that. thank you.
Out of all the videos that ive watched this is the only one that explained everything clearly
Awww thanks so much.
Mr, This is why you got my subscribe, you always save me,I am in prep for harvard under grad class in 2027,thanks in advance from Ethiopia 🇪🇹
Nice to hear from my fellow African, good luck in your exam. Keep watching.

thanks so much Michael
Best education skill
Thanks so much
disclaimer!!! kindly note that the prefix for the force in question 2 is Kilo newtons, not newtons... thank you!!! sorry about that guys....
Charley you the best
Thank you very much
this is excellent for a beginner
Aww thanks so much

Very helpful
Thanks
You are most welcome. Good luck
Please you are very good. Do more on basic mechanics and fluid statics please u made me understood even more than my lecture
wow thats great. Thanks so much. will do more. thanks

@@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn sir I’ll be very glad if u add calculus with analysis and basic electronics 🙏🙏
Calculus yes. But electronics will be another time due to my schedules
@@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn alright
Thanks again 🎉 im in south africa ❤ i just a Feel like a genius 😅🧠
Do you have any video about the Auxiliary results vector
Nice feeling for you. Kindly check the playlist on basic mechanics
Wonderful video. However you forgot to use the kilo prefix in the second example.
okay, Emmanuel... thanks so much for reminding me. thanks so much for watching
Can you pleasea tell me this name of this digital program.

For the 2nd question, your resultant force was supposed to be in kN. Great job! I love your good work
Yes please I realized that, thank you for your input as well. And you are most welcome.
Please i have a question: why did you place alpha there and not at the other side? is there a specific reason why that was done
Kindly state the time in the video so I can help you out
@@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn The second question< the seventeenth minute
You can put it on the other side, but we are looking for the easiest way to obtain the direction, that is the angle the resultant force makes with the positive x axis
Pls in the first example solved y didn't we use the 65 we got for the cosine rule
Kindly backtrack a bit to where we defined the cosine rule, 05:45 you realized that we defined the angle theta, and that what we used for the R force expression, so we are just translating what we've learnt from that section, to solve q1
So you do the same when you've been asked to find the magnitude and direction of the sum Vector say A+B? Then again what about A-B?
I don't really understand your question but if Vector A and B are parallel, then the vector sum will be A+(-B)
I have a question, On your last problem when finding the direction why is it:
Sin theta= 800 sin(60) / 721.11
and not
Sin theta= 600 sin(60) / 721.11
???

@@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohnI think he got your medication right now, good explanation 👍
Thanks so much
Can u do a video on triangle of vectors
Yes
In what case will it be +2(A)(B)CosTHETA?
+2ab cos (theta) is used to find the magnitude of the resultant force of two vectors a and B acting at an angle theta,
While
-2ab cos (theta) is used to find the third side of a triangle, with sides a and b and an angle theta
@@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn thanks so much
I really appreciate that 😊
You are most welcome.
Where do you school?
Good information but the accent is very difficult to understand. You should really overdub the audio with someone else.
great, thanks so much for your comment, sorry about that. and good luck

for which question please?
