Peter: "Do whatever you want because it's your life." Me: "Thats' right! Don't tell me what to..." Peter: "Go get a coffee." Me: ".....dangit, now I want coffee....."
I found your channel yesterday and now I'm determined on watching each and every single video you've ever posted, your personality is amazing and I absolutely love learning new things having to do with cinematography and photograohy!
So you tell me that all crow teem and all actros and cameramen in abig famous poblic show and that gay in montage didn't see that starbaxs cup !! Are you belive that was a realy starbax cup !
Pedro Moreira The Starbucks cup and water bottle mistakes have nothing to do with the CGI work. That’s set management responsibility and ultimately the post-production team. CGI production was amazing.
My reaction exactly! Had the pause the video to be like, who do I tell, what do I do, that is actually Cat. (Tho I don't even know her personally like you do, haha.)
If you notice in the first one too, the horses are mostly CGI. One looks like Kit actually was in the wrong spot for the horse. Edit: 1:56 the horse runs at camera.
Peter, I believe that the green stuff on the first video are marks for the positions of the fallen dudes. They mark them so that later when they do another angle of that scene they can replicate realistically the places there have been men down. Also thanks for the daily dose of inspiration...You are a beast!
@@somerandomchannel382 Well, not exactly. Drones are still very sparingly used in cinema simply because you can't really mount the kind of camera they use to a drone. It's just too big and heavy. At least not to a kind of drone you see easily available on the market.
@@shaneh7519 Absolutely Shane H - Reds and Alexas attached to drones for the larger productions is quite common. Myself...I'll just have to make do with my DJI kit😎
Because of the Raptor’s soft suspension and ability to go anywhere at relatively high speeds, it’s been used for movie filming since 2011. Really cool to see them go.
That last shot with the camera guy being lifted by the crane was shot in Montréal. Intersection of rue de la Cathédrale and rue de la Gauchetière Ouest. Recognized the location but not sure what they were filming. Maybe this can help?
Last scene, guy hanging on a crane, is filmed in Montreal... the “cheese grater” building in the background is a hotel downtown... forgot the name though :)
Peter, Thank you for another video like this. The most fun of this video was in seeing these clips and then seeing the results. I felt like this episode lacked the result clips a lot. Please make sure to change it for the next episode. Love you 😊
When you are coming from college and you want something to watch and chill... boom Peter Mckinnon Notification pop up and just like that my day is better!!!❤😁
It's really amazing how you make everything looks cool. Thanks for sharing and for being an epitome of hope for us who's got stuck on our day job for numbers of decades and just starting out on youtube. Keep on inspiring!
the reason this is a lot of game of thrones behind the scenes is cause they recently did a documentary thing showing how they do a lot of stuff and the daily lives of all the workers who get no glory it was really amazing
I just found your channel it’s awesome! How do you feel about affinity designer and affinity photo (as far as being a budget photo and vector design tool)?
I’ve never had to deal with that conflict of the last season cause I’ve never watched any episodes ever, but now that it’s over I will get into watching it 😂
When u talked about how it almost feels real when ur watching, makes me remember how many practical effects were actually used in like the first half of the Harry Potter series
GOT S8 ?! Love Hate Mix ball of feelies for the season end. No matter what my feels are at this point, I'm thrilled this show raised the bar of television forever. Behind the scenes footage is what I live for. Cheers Pete from your boy Uncle D at Studio11
Hey Peter, make a video about "photoshoot for cyril" and show everyone you were not always as good as you are now,but you still kept doing it.Would love to see that, keep up with the great work ✌️
years and years spending time on TH-cam, and this is my first comment on anything, Bro that's dope, just keep making these videos, LLOOVVEE you all guys.
Pete! i went to the Blade Show in Atlanta, GA this past weekend and thought about ya! it was def PM heaven! Also seen Lucas Burnley and a bunch of other custom knife makers. You should def try and make it down next year!
I liked the last season a lot! the effects and camera angles are 1000x better than all the other seasons. Story ended to quick yes, but it was still awesome!
Fun fact: When we´ve been like 12 years old, we´ve shot ourselves a small army clip, where we used to "flick" the sand (you know, that kind of thing where you do the "OK" sign with your fingers and then you release the index finger. no idea what is it called in English) and we did this to the sand when someone was shooting at us in the scene. so it really looked like someone shot the sand before our trench . Pretty dope scene for 12yo´s
I just love watching the process! Love it!
Young Irish photographer and starting videography and Short films, any advice
Me too, it's crazy to see what they can do now!
Me too 😅
Just film
Yes! Behind the scenes is the best!
New rule: anything submitted has to have the final shot included
Cliff hanger and a half
Yes, for fucks sake
100 % Agree with TedwardCairns 🤠👍
Agree
This shouldn't even have to be mentioned!
7:16
"Okay, we have a way less impressive camera car..."
*Proceeds to choke on it's awesomeness.
He still wishes it was a Ford raptor 😅🤷🏽♂️
The camera rig is awesome, not the car :P
I was about the comment the same thing
This series is literally a compilation of cliffhangers
Amen to that.

9:00 when you need drone footage but you dont have a drone.
TeamElitePlatinum 100MDCM Not even a DJI mavic Air
yah that feeling when you dont have a drone but you got a 100ft crane laying in the corner
I just had a mental breakdown because 26+ hours of editing just got corrupted and idk how. Thank you for uploading:) you made my widow heart warm
Sincerely sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace :(
Backups?

So you could say that your pc isn't CUTting it :3
Premiere Pro?
Game of Thrones season 8: NO... BUT the soundtrack and cinematography: A HUGE YES
The story does NOT take away from the visuals. Season 8 was stunning to watch.
Too dark. Not visible
Sounds reasonable. :)
Haven’t seen any Game of Thrones ))
Season 8, NO... but I do miss it as well 😔
Me too and most of the turtles too.
Ride Yo Ride season 8 was good, the last 2 episodes weren’t
Peter: "Do whatever you want because it's your life."

Who else only came to the comments when he said "I'm sure they say in the comments"
That scene was from the beginning of the giver
nice user
I came before that
My favorite quote from this video:
"See? Human!"
Haha!
Haha! How many TH-camrs these days do this and you know it’s just them in the room!
Was going to say the same thing lol
I found your channel yesterday and now I'm determined on watching each and every single video you've ever posted, your personality is amazing and I absolutely love learning new things having to do with cinematography and photograohy!
That’s me lol
I just found them too! Isn't he amazing?!
Game of thrones 8
Acting: greet
Soundtrack : fantastic
Cinematoghrafy : amizing
CGI : Wonderful
Writing : DACARIS
Your Spellings : LOL!!
CGI was Bad... If you leave a Starbucks cup and a Water Bottle...
@Felix B
CGI wAs bad !
Are you serios man ! Dragons was so good and relastic , and so wolfes and all spsialeffects
People forget how many people are involved in big productions. The best of the best!
I’ve never watched any of the GOT episodes... but I’ve watched all of Peter’s vlogs. I hope Peter won’t kill me.
I, too, have never seen a single episode Haha.
Lol same.
Hahhaha
same, not 1 episode.
Same, watched about 10 minutes of the first episode and then quit.. LOL
3:12 "The camera crew has to do the same crazy stuff, but with gear". That's what i think every time I watch a Top Gear adventure series.
I KNOW THAT GIRL WALKING ACROSS THE STACKS 6:00
“Cat Peterson” she’s actually a TH-camr too!!
My reaction exactly! Had the pause the video to be like, who do I tell, what do I do, that is actually Cat. (Tho I don't even know her personally like you do, haha.)
Haha same😂 I know her to (from TH-cam) ofc
I'd love to see the hallway sequence from Daredevil.
And the stairwell sequence as well.
And the epic 11 minute oner from season 3
Yessssss
your dragon fire-breathing sound effect at 4:48 is pretty damn accurate lol
If you notice in the first one too, the horses are mostly CGI. One looks like Kit actually was in the wrong spot for the horse.
Edit: 1:56 the horse runs at camera.
Peter, I believe that the green stuff on the first video are marks for the positions of the fallen dudes. They mark them so that later when they do another angle of that scene they can replicate realistically the places there have been men down.
Also thanks for the daily dose of inspiration...You are a beast!
But why not marking them before filming?
He was throwing dirt into the shot with a green scoop.
Behind the scenes of Our Planet is insane! Those crews are legends
Lotsa comments here...(so if it's already been said.....) That last scene with the cameraman swinging up is from a Jason Bourne film.
Before droids was popular for long range camera shoots I presume? :)
@@somerandomchannel382 Well, not exactly. Drones are still very sparingly used in cinema simply because you can't really mount the kind of camera they use to a drone. It's just too big and heavy. At least not to a kind of drone you see easily available on the market.
Quicksilver_Cookie there are plenty of people for hire that have massive drones that can mount 40k dollar cameras no problem.
@@shaneh7519 Absolutely Shane H - Reds and Alexas attached to drones for the larger productions is quite common. Myself...I'll just have to make do with my DJI kit😎
Graeme Taplin I understand you, I have a mavic mini myself
why does the world need videos like this. i mean wow you are explaining what you see... like a toddler saying "ball" while seeing... a ball...
Doesn't matter what's going on, I get the Peter McKinnon notification ... "going to TH-cam !!" Lol
T Jolley Same!! Hahaha
How about during your job interview???
How about during your job interview???
How about during your job interview???
"Sorry just got an important notification from Peter McKinnon, can we re-schedule ?" 😂😂
Because of the Raptor’s soft suspension and ability to go anywhere at relatively high speeds, it’s been used for movie filming since 2011. Really cool to see them go.
The guy being hoisted up by the crane was filming Transformers I believe. Fred North was the helicopter pilot and was in the same scene. 👍🏻
And that was Montreal. Recognised the cheese grater hotel in the background
That last shot with the camera guy being lifted by the crane was shot in Montréal. Intersection of rue de la Cathédrale and rue de la Gauchetière Ouest. Recognized the location but not sure what they were filming. Maybe this can help?
Back at it again with the best series on TH-cam 👊🏻
lmao you think a reaction video series is the best on YT hahahahaha
Last scene, guy hanging on a crane, is filmed in Montreal... the “cheese grater” building in the background is a hotel downtown... forgot the name though :)
That hotel is the Marriott!
Love the sign behind you. Matti and Pete Show!! LOL LOVE THE SHOW BTW!!! 💕 ❤️
You should subscribe to their Podcast channel if you havn't already :)
Peter, Thank you for another video like this. The most fun of this video was in seeing these clips and then seeing the results. I felt like this episode lacked the result clips a lot. Please make sure to change it for the next episode. Love you 😊
All I think is "Yes" when you upload a new video. Thanks for the laughs man!
I actually thought you were pretending that you we’re talking to someone behind the cam until i saw the last scene 🤣🤯
When you are coming from college and you want something to watch and chill... boom Peter Mckinnon Notification pop up and just like that my day is better!!!❤😁
Ah, the ZT 0022! Great little blade.
Always crushing it!!
Totally love seeing the process as well. I could watch behind the scenes all day.
Peter: "Havin' a hard time talking with my wall, pretending there would be another guy in the room" xD
Love seeing the H&W cranes in the background at 3:44, always nice to see the better side of Northern Ireland!
"I wanna be that guy pushing the cart!"
The... Dolly Grip?
It's really amazing how you make everything looks cool. Thanks for sharing and for being an epitome of hope for us who's got stuck on our day job for numbers of decades and just starting out on youtube. Keep on inspiring!
GOT season 8 = really bad writing
Morgen Hagerott but amazing production as usual
Joshua Lee oh yeah! I mean it looked absolutely amazing!
the reason this is a lot of game of thrones behind the scenes is cause they recently did a documentary thing showing how they do a lot of stuff and the daily lives of all the workers who get no glory it was really amazing
I just found your channel it’s awesome! How do you feel about affinity designer and affinity photo (as far as being a budget photo and vector design tool)?
PETER! You HAVE TO show us what comes out at the end of this sick filmmaking hacks! It‘s just half of the magic 😭
"Go get a coffee" - Don't tell me what to d...Actually, that's a good idea.
Love this series. So entertaining & appreciate the skills used in film even more!
"I almost chocked on my own spit, i was so exited there." 😂😂 gotta love peter mckinnon!
I’ve never had to deal with that conflict of the last season cause I’ve never watched any episodes ever, but now that it’s over I will get into watching it 😂

More like PPWAATSup everybody
With some spit on lens.
haha yes, you win today
I’m convinced no one is in the room with Peter while filming and he’s talking to no one
GoT S8 = Rushed, but yes

notification sqaud wya?!😃😂...Love your Work Peter!!😁
I actually really thought you where talking to no one, well played Peter, well played.
GOT 8: had some amazing shots but the storyline and writing were awful
I love watching you watch the process. So fun!
Ahh, I get it now! All the work went into the videography and CGI instead of the story and characterization. Neat!
When u talked about how it almost feels real when ur watching, makes me remember how many practical effects were actually used in like the first half of the Harry Potter series
GoT Season 8, NO... but I do miss it already.
Man, that action makes me wonder how many eye injuries they have. Stunt guys must be fearless.
LOL! Green paddle. LAST SEASON 8 NO! Way to rushed and not a ton of love went into it
Think they should have made the White Walker a 2 episode thing and TOTALLY given the Night King a little more respect. LOL
the last shot was taken in Montreal, intersection rue de la Gauchetière and rue de la cathédrale, but i dont recall what movie set was shooting there
Game of Thrones: Acting was great, Shots were cool, Music was stellar, Writing/Plotting was abysmal.
GOT S8 ?! Love Hate Mix ball of feelies for the season end.
No matter what my feels are at this point, I'm thrilled this show raised the bar of television forever.

S8 GOT: HEEEEEELLLLLLLLL no...but overall one of the greatest shows ever
years and years spending time on TH-cam, and this is my first comment on anything, Bro that's dope, just keep making these videos, LLOOVVEE you all guys.
9:00 just Michael Bay shooting a dialogue. Nothing to see here...
So much mindblown in this video

Sir You are just amazing. I love watching your videos. Huge fan from Germany 🇩🇪
100% the best series.
GOT season 8 - enjoyed it, BUT....
Objectively bad writing 😞
I agree with this
well done, but very poorly written. That show didn't end, it was euthanized.
Such an amazing video, Peter. For the shot at 09:00, I believe it was from the "Tower Block" which was a British thrilling film.
Awesome vid.
Next time you guys have to arrange the original shots if they're missing!
for the last video i dont know which video is it but it is downtown Montreal. the building
behind is The Montreal Marriott Château Champlain Hotel
Can u make one of those proffesional videos? Please!😁
he wouldn't be an youtuber if he could

GOT Season 8: Nice work on the action scenes, lame ending for crucial characters
Digging the new hair cut Pete
Sick! Could you do a reacting-video to Andreas Hem's work? Would be sick to see you react to some of his crazy footage!
Man! You're the best! I'm ready to watch your channel the whole day long just to be in a good mood :-) Thank you!
Thank you for another great video!!!
Please make another office buildout episode!!!
Also, please make a time lapse of your new office buildout too!!!!
This series is my favourite
GoT season 8 was “meeeh”
Visually it was amazing but the writing was a bit of a let down.
2:00 i think the green stuff the guys is throwing are the markers for the falling arrows
