If I copyright a poem or something short will that protect my pseudonym? Im worried about putting work online and then someone publishing a book before I do under the name I have picked out. Would I just have to publish a book before anyone else if I want to protect my picked out pen name? Or would copyrighting a poem or something small work to protect it ?

Probably not. a psuedonym is more like a trademark than itself copyrightable subject matter. Publishing your work under the pseudonym is the first step to ensuring you have exclusive rights to it... but nothing is certain. Copyright registration of your work (individual poems or compilations, such as in a book or folio) is also helpful, since it establishes that you were first to use the pseudonym.
It *may* be possible to register a trademark for the pseudonym, and can even begin that before you publish.. but it can't be finalized until you've got a few products(plural) in the marketplace. So, after you've published 2 or more things (maybe smaller folios of poems, rather than a full book?) we could finalize a trademark.

How does someone prove the work is theirs if they don’t use their real identity when obtaining a copyright?

Registration of copyright requires use of your real name, but can be listed as a pseudonymous work. Otherwise, using a false identity is probably an invalid registration, since you’re filing a false government document. M

What's with this middle name ? Called by name? Prae-noman, noman, nick, from Davidian Era. I study so much, im back to confused, and am trying to get my Christian and father raising correct. All my bonds were stolen and i might as well correct them all, properly to be re-born now. I'd like to actually get to heaven through this horrible circumstance. Real name is lower case, with middle, given i thought was middle and first, a for name. Like, for-given. But now we have a middle, relation, as a piece, the father gave, so, i have tried to get truth for the true name..lol. it's this lake of fire, i am in a total panic of, can you tell? Sheesh. Some day the equitable title holder to the fiction= de-notes a trust account, yet is fiction. What a mess this looks like, and goes back to sea, not land. This gets crazy.
