My most sincere appreciation for this video and your recipe. I have been trying to learn how to make rotis for the past two decades and have not been successful despite my mother, mother-In-law, sister-in-law, etc trying to teach me. In fact I dreaded and avoided making rotis because they NEVER turned out well and I had almost given up on it. I had not made rotis in over a year. I just got the KitchenAid Stand mixer for my kids for their baking and came across your recipe so I thought I would try it last weekend. Wow!!! I followed the recipe and my rotis turned out AMAZING!! So soft and yummy. That was the first time in my life I was happy with my rotis and bragged about it instead of crying about it. My husband and kids loved them so much that I ended up making rotis three days in a row just to make sure it was not by mistake (and each time it turned out PERFECT).. In fact, my 13 year old daughter loves it so much that she asked me to teach her and we made it together on the fourth day and it was great! I NEVER thought that day would come for me to teach someone else how to make rotis and you have made this possible! You have given me my confidence back. Thank you from the bottom of my heart as this is a very emotional moment for me ❤️ I look forward to trying more recipes with you in the future.
i appreciate your taking the time to write the comment. I Read your entire comment and it made my day ❤️ Glad you all loved the recipe and stay connected for more such recipes
I have recently purchased the stand mixer and I was hoping that this would make my life easier especially for kneading the dough part. Super happy that I came across your channel and all the recipes that you have recommended using the stand mixer. I am now saving them one by one!!
Thanks for sharing. I just brought a kitchenaid. Now make roti dough. I suffer from arthritis in my hands. Its been so much easier. No more hard kneading and the rotis come out so soft.
Thank you so much for this video. This will be very helpful for Indians living abroad. I will buy myself a KitchenAid this Thanksgiving. It would be great if you could share the model number of the mixer too. Thanks!
Hi l, I used approximately 2 cups of water for 3 cups of flour. The dough was quite soft when I finished the kneading, but in the morning when i took it out from refrigerator for making rotis, the dough was reallly hard. I had to keep it outside for at least 30 minutes before making the rotis. Any suggestion, what went wrong and what could be done. Thanks ☺️

Use one n half cup of water for 3 cups of flour
I always keep the dough out from refrigerator before making rotis for about 15-20 mins
That's actually normally because its cold. Also wrap it up when placing in fridge to avoid drying
