Dear Julie, I wanted to express my gratitude for the 10 tips you provided to improve our English reading skills. Your commitment to helping others in this regard is truly commendable and I deeply appreciate it. Your explanation was thorough and left no room for doubts. It reminded me of the importance of immersing oneself while reading any written material. Once again, thank you so much!
It might seem like we already know everything you mention in the video, but to be honest, I find your ten pieces of advice incredibly helpful and need to listen to them several times. Even though everything you say may seem obvious, the truth is that I often fail to put it into practice. So, thank you so much for your invaluable assistance, Julie!
Great question - it depends. This advice is more for when you are asked to read out loud, maybe in a group setting for example. In my classes I always give students time to read in their heads before reading out loud for the group. If you are on your own and you want to practice your speaking or pronunciation with reading, I would still recommend reading in your head first for comprehension, then out loud. If you are just reading for fun, then no need to read out loud. Hope this helps!
