The Volcano set seems to be the set that most people passed on and I can’t blame them. While it’s a fun set, it leans very heavily to being a fantasy set and just doesn’t fit in well with the rest of the more realistic cities. And hey, no matter how old we all get we can still enjoy Hot Wheels and Matchbox stuff! Whether you’re 6 or 46, these sets are still awesome! I’m glad we all can enjoy these sets together no matter our age and location🏁😎
@@64Wheels absolutely, my son is 11 he doesn't want to play at all with cars , he'd rather be on his tablets and consoles. I love video game's, but hot wheels and match boxes along with star wars premium prop light sabers are my main thing's.😎👌
What would be cool is if Matchbox made an Action Drivers school playset complete with the little yellow GMC school bus, a playground and realistic school bell sound at the touch of a button...it would be similar in size to the gas station playset.

Sometimes I wish the colors on these were a little muted for realism purposes, and the Volcano set in the middle of the city in that picture on back of the box looks ridiculous (the only set I've skipped for that reason). But otherwise, I love these sets and I have mine on the way! Looking forward to the Ferry Port and FedEx set. If history repeats itself, we should have two more sets coming this year, one of which would be large. We'll see!
Agree with the colors - it’s the one thing that can make a good playset look like a “toy” playset. The muted colors were part of the reason why the old Hot Wheels and Matchbox city playsets, Sto N Gos, etc looked so real, and why most of the new HWs playsets look so childish. I’m very excited for the Ferry Port too!!
I love matchbox! I can’t always get Matchbox or Hotwheels but it’s my dream when I’m older to have a city of matchbox I love them I only have 26 matchbox in counting so yeah I don’t have a lot but I’m hoping to get more I love watching your channel to see the stuff you can get! Keep up the good work ❤
They seriously need to release a road pack with four or so pieces of straight roads for $10. All the sets put right next to each other feels too crammed and only some large sets come with one piece of road. More roads and intersections would definitely help these cities feel more realistic and spaced out.
Whats up Sam! I have no other way to contact you but through youtube. I just wanted to share a cool find i discovered at walmart the other day. It was a matchbox dodge charger tampoed and decorated for NASA security. It has the letters KSC Security on the doors along with a NASA logo along with a light bar on top. It took me a second to decipher the ksc. Then i figured it out it has to stand for Kennedy Space Center! I know you were talking about there may be a nasa playset coming out later this year. They did have a nasa panel truck that came out pretty recently. Just thought I'd share this from one collector to another. Your channel is awesome btw. Happy hunting! 🚗🚓🛻🚕🚑🚒
Thanks!! I actually have that NASA Charger already and it’s one of my favorite recent Matchbox releases! I have that panel truck too and a lot of the older Matchbox NASA trucks that they released in the 80s and 90s - I need to do a video on them all! It would be so cool to see a space themed playset this year - I think it would sell very well and I would definitely buy one or two lol! Thanks again for watching and the heads-up on the NASA find!
Those flaps hanging down on the car wash are for cleaning with soap and the other ends that has them are to help dry besides the blowers inside a car wash so one set has soap and the other for drying. Supposed to have them on both ends, all that to still not tell you what there called😂 I just know there function😆 I'm sure you can look it up easily.

I think mattel could have done better with the functionality of the general car wash. Making the foam rollers bigger so that they wash the car could be cooler
I think they didn’t want to take buyers away from the “working” Color Shift car washes that Hot Wheels has. This one is more for “pretend” play and the HWs version is meant to function more so that it turns the car a different color (if that makes sense). But some more functionality on this set would have been cool too!
Ok, we are living in led light times. Wired led lights could be applied inside of that big car wash logo on the roof. Sponges..common, they could applied fancy long hair brushes plus side windows with water effects on it. Hoover..there could be platform when u drive on it to activate hoover sound and maybe voice saying something like..common its full again! Last thing, i dont like the fact that matchbox add just a pieces of road from 2 sides not all for corners which could be logical to play and drive around. Plus, if u buy other sets with road pieces from each direction than u have 2 direction road.
You know I think you’re right on that one - I think I forgot about it mixed between the blue and grey ones. It’s hard to keep track of all the releases nowadays!
I haven’t seen any in stores in the States either - this one I got via an online preorder, but that usually means the playsets are shipping to retail locations and should be showing up in stores soon!

That car wash looks like a modified Mark VII Wesumat Soft Wash, with it's two sidearms and giant top roller.

The flaps in the front of the car wash are called mitter curtains I think
