    Knock up and silence are powerful imo
    The only reason silences get swept under the rug is because the people that typically have it will have a short duration BUT playing against Ganesha and Nox will change the way you see it.
    Knock ups are self explanatory

      Agreed, Charon is my favorite god currently, and his silence capabilities help make him so OP. Its incredibly frustrating to be in the middle of your combo and suddenly your buttons don't work. I use it alot to save low hp teammates from being chased down. Often those couple seconds can save their lives.

      @@Ottocide exactly,silence is incredibly rage inducing when it's above 1s. The rise of channeling abilities is such bs tbh,you can't do shit if the enemy has a silence.

      @samuelsilva8364 this is true however the thing is that stuns are meant to be beads but using beads because of a silence just to confirm a kill,escape,or even engage is just frustrating. Also you can avoid most stuns in the game if you play right,most silences have no real start up time and come out with the instant CC

      silence is weak, a stun, knock up, mesmerize, taunt, anything that stops you from playing is stronger than not being able to use abilities.

    24:38 cooldowns are slower if I remember correct but the enemy beads and sanc are longer. All of time is slowed for them so even their relic timers are slowed. Actually a pretty cool effect.

    Smite is literally crowd control simulator. With that being said, pulls and stuns are usually the most beads burning

    So for anyone who is confused about what counts as hard cc and true hard cc, a handy guide I use is displacement. If the cc forcibly moves a character, then that is true hard cc. They are being displaced and for the sake of animation jank, they can’t apply dr to displacement

    I think what would make this list better, even if it would add a lot more work, is taking the average duration of each of these effects into account. Because most of the "weaker" effects like a slow or disarm will last longer than a stun.
    That being said, i mostly agree with the list as a whole, only that silence feels like it should be the bottom of A tier instead.

    When I rage about CC, It's stuns, fears, silences, and taunts. In that order. Some of the other CC is annoying, but it makes sense & actually takes some skill to land.
    The one's I named, though, I feel the game is overloaded with, and they're too consistent. There's nothing worse than dying because you just lost the ability to respond to the enemy. Especially, when it's a full CC team that runs around grouped up all the time, kit dumping on the first person to engage them.

      No worse feeling than playing a trash team of CC bots. I can’t tell you how many games I played against bad players that get bailed out because they are full of giant circle CC abilities 😂 they get clapped in lane but are unbeatable when they group

    I’d personally say that Time Dialation is S tier since it’s soft cc that can combine with any hard cc including the true hard cc to increase the duration of the cc effects

    I feel like even tho slows are very common, they’re also very good, horrific is a pretty common relic for support first for aggression for either pressure or to get kills early, I think they deserve A tier

    Great video !
    I just had a couples things to say for how id rank them.
    Mez and banish are very similar and deserve same tier: get ppl out of the fight for setup/peel but can't chain like stuns
    Tremble slows you by default, and then the small thing making you a bit less controllable: they should not be a tier below slows... or classed with deafened ! (same tier as intox imo)
    I agree taunt/fear/madness are a bit better but they would go same tier as stuns for me. Or just throw the one in S+++++++ and we good
    You need a tier between b and c for cripple mez banish cuz they all feel better than c but can't be on same tier as silence imo (at least the cripple lol)
    You very much have a solo perspective cuz disarm can pretty much halve the dps of most assasins (aa cancels) and then aa assasins exists... poly is situational but it's another small thing. I would say lower than silence fs but better than you made it sound ! but yeah id place it where you did as well.

      It's like one of the if not the most useless ability. In a 1 vs 1 it is usually useless and the enemy can go into it if they're literally blind and it's only use is right after the ult which is stupid and lackluster

    I remember you made a similar video in the past, and once again I think you way underrated positional CCs, like pull and knockback, those are easily S tier for me, and Vortex should also be at least A if we're counting Hades, if you can bait your opponents escape the vortex is a free kill. At least there's no way it's worse than slow and slip

    I thought knock up was the same as knock back, but in the first one you stay in place such as bacchus jump por example, and in the second one you are completely moved (plus being out of the ground thing) like sobek's 2 or kuzenbo ult

    They need to change the slow in Chronos 3 to a time dialation just to slightly nerf the cooldowns of other gods... yaknow, being a god of Time and all lol

    Thing is , i don t understand how DR stacks work . Like i play ymir sometimes in conq , and i gotta say , if i freeze , they sometimes get out of it in like 0.1 seconds , which is crazy ( without ccr items ) , but sometimes i get perma stunned or whatever from multiple enemies , and can only escape with beads ?

      The way it works is: Hard CCs that hit you apply a DR stack (2 for true hard CCs). Each stack reduces future Hard CC durations by 20%. 4 stacks max (80% reduction) and they last 15s. No CC can ever be reduced below 0.4s via DR or CCR though. Ymir freeze base duration is really long so its best as the initiation when no enemies have DR stacks. If they have loads of DR on them already, it stuns for way less time.

    Someone please adress why I cant cc immune blinds. You cant purify them and you can often be actively invulnerable/untargetable and still blinded.

    slippery surface will forever be S tier for me. Its just a better intoxication-its the lovechild of intoxications and cripples and I hate it with all my heart. I cant pick where im going, and I cannot use my movement to get away from the stinky ice. Skadi ice deserves to be burned

      Honestly I play so little arena it wouldn't be that useful I don't think. I would just use general rules like burst and tanks are better and sustained damage and healing is worse.

      Right now: Sun wukong, tyr, Charon (newly released), geb, Loki (with a decent player), carakan (because of ult great trapper with a good team), slynaus( hidden gem with a good player), xylanbase ( good support chaser) are to name a few that do real good in arena. With the new map, some god's utilities have changed and you have adapt to make them play well. Artio is still good just got to time when you got to get out of battles. But a good god can still be terrible if your teammates are not helping

      @@SlayerFan961as someone who plays Cleo way more than I should, who also loves arena, Cleo is actually great in arena, her passive is minimal, yes, but every other part of her kit is so well suited for the “just fight lol” that she tends to do well without her passive (not to mention there are still small places her passive work on, even if just to get the life steal effect on a camp so you don’t have to run back to base after clearing it)

    Isn't polymorph considered a true hard cc and is not affected by DR? I think that's what the Smite Wiki says. I would put it in S tier for that reason.

    If I'm not mistaken Intoxication also come with a Cripple to prevent movement abilities built in. Having it between Cripple and Tremble is probably the best but Intoxication is probably be better than Cripples since they lose control and their movement abilities for the duration. Also fun fact Maui's 1 and Cabrakhan's Tremors have Vortexes attached to them. I did think Khepri's dash-pull was a grab but realized it had a silence attached to it and you can still basic attack so it isn't a true grab.

    The only thing that I will say that gives a stun a one up on a knock up, is that stuns allow immediate follow up damage and that is always guaranteed if you’re in sync with your team. It allows the fastest reaction time.
    I cannot tell you how many times a knock up ended up saving me from an outrageous amount of damage lol.

      For the vast majority of knockups you can hit the airborne targets. Though reading this does make me wonder which, if any, don't allow the target to be hit. At that point they're just a banish.

    I think banish is high key slept on, they are pretty good and do so many positive things (essentially a knockup tbh)

      Knockups are faster and confirm most of dmg abilities while banishes don't, and a lot of the times are stalling for the enemy to come

    I have no finished the video, so maybe you change it later on, but I personally believe that Banishes should be higher, while Mezzes should be lower.
    Banishes have all some-if-not-all the same “pros” listed for roots, silences, stuns, and knock ups, and the drawback of “not target-able” is mostly overshadowed by the pros.
    And in my opinion Mezzes’ con that they wake up after one instance of damage instantly makes it worse than roots, slows, disarms. One instance is too “varying” in power to warrant it being a pro. Yes it could be a 300dmg Hunter crit or a 1200dmg mage ult, but it could also be a 98dmg Geb knockup, a 72dmg O-Bow spreading strike, or even a 10 dmg minion hit.
    IMO Banishes are at minimum Low B-Teir maximum Low A-Teir, while Mezzes are Minimum High D-Tier, maximum low B Tier

      Kinda want to add on some examples:
      If Freya’s “woop” was a mez, you wouldn’t fear the CC as much because less guaranteed damage is on your way.
      If Cupid’s Mez was a Banish you’d never allow yourself to be caught in the ult (as of right now, the mez is so negligible that it can sometimes be more optimal to keep on your path instead, even if you’re going to get Mezzed)
      Kumba has both a Mez and a Banish, but besides in Pro or too Teir play his Mez is used to set up the banish, not the other way around.
      Heim has a banish that allows him to (possibly) set up his 1, and his horn, and ALSO weave a basic attack in. A Mez would be MUCH harder to confirm.
      Apollo’s Mez is so insignificant that many people forget about it (tbf Apollo does not have much follow up besides using his 1 and then possibly AA canceling anyways) but could you imagine an Apollo Banishing you to get a guaranteed ult to safety, even in a teamfight?
      Ao Kuang’s Banish allows for setting up his 2-3-1 combo, but imagine if that enemy was Mezzed instead and was woken up before the combo was confirmed.
      All-in-all, I feel that banishes are inherently more valuable to a team (let alone a single character) then Mezzes are.

    Stuns > knockups. Even if they can't be DR'd, knockups still prevent abilities from landing. Straight up stuns leave people stationary to be melted. I get you're a solo main so actually gaining DR is easy enough, but if we're talking about effectiveness you have to take every class into consideration. and 3/5 of the classes simply get melted before DR becomes useful.

      Kuzen 3 is a grab. Push isn't actually a CC according to the wiki. Just grabs and knockbacks.

    Even though blinds are pretty useless, they are very very annoying to people with photosensitivity or are just generally sensitive to bright lights. Getting blink blinded by Ra out of nowhere and getting flashbanged irl is not super fun. I really wish there was an option added to make the screen fade to black instead of white, it would make playing against Ra and Ix Chel much less disorienting

    Fear should be S tier as it's too far ahead of the other A tier CC abilities even though it's technically not the best S tier CC, it should still be in that tier. Otherwise pretty solid.

    I think people are going to wish you had put pulls a little higher than you listed only because anyone who has a pull also has some type of other hard cc that makes it a bad time for you. Haha like silv pull into root. Ares pull into cripple. The pull itself isn’t bad but it’s always associated as a bad cc because it’s always accompanied with amother good cc to follow it v

      It's actually Merc's ult merc's ult I'm talking about. His 3 as far as I'm aware is just a stun into a throw. But yes, Merc is the only disorient.

    IMO there should be a tier between A and B. You just cant put silence and cripple in the same tier, silence is like cripple but much better. One only stops u from using dash and the other stops every one. Yeah silence applys and gets DR but it is just better anyway. Also you could put mez or disorient in that tier.

    i think you heavily undervalue root. sure it doesnt flat prevent you from taking actions, but theyre typically some of the longer lasting forms of cc and if u get rooted in a 1v1, youre done.

    hades vortex is B tier as its a slightly weaker taunt that can be jumped out of but poseidons vortex alone not including the cripple is clearly D tier so I would put vortexes in C tier as the strength of the cc can differ

    I think blinds and vortex should be c. Tremors and deafen have basically no use even in there best scenarios. A blind can stop you from being able to react for a pretty long time and vortez if youve no beads or jump will usually kill you

      Vortex I might be inclined to agree but with how blinds are currently implemented they belong in D imo. Ra's is pretty much the only one that fully blocks out your screen, most just obscure it and even Ra's blind only fully whites your screen for like half a second, the rest you can still somewhat see as you come out of the blind.

    I think time dilation is B tier. A tier if you’re feeling generous. The only reason it’s good is because it makes OTHER CC’s better. In a vacuum it’s not doing much other than delaying your enemies’ escape.

      Idk man I think you undervalue how much fastness matters in a game like smite. Your ult coming out 40% slower or your dash moving 40% slower is a huge deal.

      Nah intox and tremble are mechanically different. Intox you can't control yourself at all. Even if you let go of all movement keys you walk in random directions. Tremble just adds noise to your intended movement, you can still move in a general chosen direction, can't with intox. And yeah petrify is just a stun mechanically.

      It's been a while since I collected that data so idrk but the definition of pull Vs grab is sometimes murky. In my opinion if they are tied to your movement it's a grab and if not it's a pull.

      @@ezecarol11 Shiva is a knockup technically. Pulls are cleanseable as you never leave the ground. Shiva's are knockups. The definitions get kinda murky but mechanically they are knockups. As for Atlas, it's a grab into a knockup. Neither are pulls.

      Some roots come with cripples but they're not the same. For example kumbha 2 recently went from just a root to a root-cripple. Artemis is one of those cases.

      Idk if I'd say it's busted. There are built in checks like DR and item slows not stacking. In reality it's almost impossible to get anything above a 60% slow even when stacking and there is a movement speed floor that you can't go below. But yeah being able to stack an item slow on top of an ability one is strong for sure.

    I think time cc might not be as good as you make it. Its only on 1 ability and the ability is very powerful bcs it affects allies too. Imagine if it was applied single target. Basically olorun ult is very good cc itself not as much.

      Yeah there's only one example but that cuts both ways. What if it was added to a basic ability with a 10s cooldown and applied as a debuff not an aura in the area. Could be even more annoying since it doesn't DR.
