- What is the idea behind the Midrash's statement that every prophet's prophecy was given to him at Har Sinai? How does this apply to the words of wisdom that would be said by Torah scholars down to our times? What is the 'great Voice that did not end' that echoes through the generations? What is meant by R' Yochanan who says that the single voice splits into seven and then into seventy? What is the 'mighty voice of Hashem?' Find out in this week's Parsha Podcast.

Isn’t a Nevua supposed to be given over right away?
the idea here is that on a spiritual level it was given to the Navi at the core of his essence. It can't be revealed before its proper time - a Navi must reveal it when he's told to reveal it. not before. We see there are times a Navi is given a prophecy without being told to reveal it at all. Avraham was told before Sarah that they would have Yitzchak. only subsequently was Sarah also told. Rivka knew Yaakov was greater than Esav, Yitzchak did not know and Rivka did not tell him. The prophecy was for her, not him. Hashem has His ways.
Am yisrael chai ... Baruch Hashem
amen thank you
