So do we consider ted's Abusive was it because of him cheating? or being 18 ? through the book I never thought of him as abusive. also the last chapter confused me so did she really confess what she did with the pills to the baby? or was she saving her mom from potentially going to jail for the murder of Alissa I don't know if I missed something here but i am truly baffled w this ending
she was jealous of Alyssa she had a mother who cared about her and took care of her she didn’t have that with her mom so in order to have that perfect family in her mind she would kill Alyssa and tell Mrs.Richardson all of things that her mother did to her so that way she would feel bad for her and adopt her
I didn’t really consider Ted abusive I mean sure he got anger issues but he never put his hands on her.From the end I got the impression that nobody will really know the truth except Mary and her mother and that she really doesn’t care what happens as long as she can have a family that she always wanted
i don't think ted was abusive for cheating (it was very horrible don't get me wrong), but the age gap is a little weird. it depends though how long ted was 18. if he was 17/18, that would be okay because mary was only 2 years younger.
For real!! I read the whole book in a weekend glued to the pages , but the last chapter frustrated me so much to the point i didnt like the book anymore.
May I ask why? Was it because Mary was better earlier in the book as an innocent character trying to better her life and you wanted to see a satisfying ending for her? Because I guess that was kind of it for me, but what did you guys think of the ending? :)
I absolutely hated this book. There was absolutely no happiness in this book at all. I’ve Never been abused but this book was definitely a trigger for me

She didn’t confess to the police. she was confessing to the readers that she actually killed the baby and not her mother

@@Goldflower220 I think she was 15 and he was 18. Later on in the book she’s 16 and he’s 19 so I think the age gap is 3 years..?
I loved this one I couldn’t put it down but the ending I wasn’t the most fond of.
It was a solid 4 star read and then the last chapter just made me drop it to 3 stars
