In the status bar there was an option to invert colors. I hope theymean dark theme, all this white is not good for phones with oled screens'battery usage,

You have to make sure it's turned on. Only a certain group of apps work. If you tried to use TH-cam, you need TH-cam Red/ Google Play Music subscription.

My HTC U11 was updated to Oreo last week but the picture in picture feature for videos (TH-cam, Netflix) does not function.
The led light icon is missing on my note 4, after upgraded to Oreo 8.1. Pls how can you solve the problem. Also the pictures and video on the phone is not as sharp as the former nougats . pls kindly help to fix it. Thanks

Can't blame Google for that. Blame your device manufacturer. If you've got a popular device you can probably get a custom rom in a couple weeks.

Ender Steel You don't need to root to get a custom ROM. Most custom ROMs need to be rooted after installation should the user want a rooted ROM.

How to make the contact display phone numbers bigger or more distinct, Oreo 8 is too light color and not contrasting properly, hardly can read the contact names or numbers in poor lighting in dark area...How to adjust this aspect?

Whatever happened to a phone just being a phone? Don't get me wrong these new features are cool and all, but I liked the days when a phone just did one thing- make and relieve calls. All this other stuff can be confusing for someone who just wants a phone. I remember to watch anything near youtube you had to have one of those mobile TVs lol. Not really, but developers on XDA found a way to enable Oreo's theme, but it's a bit challenging

I have been using an iphone for so long that I almost forget how much more features and functions android has. Thank for the video. It makes me remember the good old days when I can expand my notifications for details with a glance, or how google now remind me to attend a meeting and suggest the transport options and tell me the weather too, right when I need it. ios 11 is a mess. My next phone will be pure android.

Aashay Rane I read somewhere that it'll take about 6 months before Samsung customises Oreo and allow their phones to update to it. Not sure about the exact time tho. The closer to stock android a phone is, the faster they will get the update.

I Just got oreo this morning on my 6p, but it looks the same, its installed and the settings are different, but the UI looks exactly the same, i thought id get a new look for the icons and other visual differences, am i missing something or does only pixel phones get to look that way
