I don't understand the CRT. The first battle you did seems to be based entirely on the attackers strength, and the defender's strength doesn't seem to matter. If that area held 100 Roman Legions, they would all have been eliminated by the barbarian attack, right? That doesn't seem very realistic. Or am I missing something?
Another great review. Agree with many of your points about the game. It is an easy game but the rules are poorly organized. I played the game just before watching your video and had many of the rule issues as you.
Oh boy.. I get the taste of cotton in my mouth from borderline grandpa games like this. Come on, boardgames has gotten a LONG way today! TO the point of mainstream almost (if not). And things like this are still played?! Monopoly seem like a hip game in comparison. Components 2/10 wth are those small plastic tokens anyway? Art 2/10 look dusty, plain, dull. Rules 2/10 over complex for it's simplicity. Too much text. Entire board plottered in text everywhere, Huge mess. Fun 2/10 what?

DuraheLL - If you find the artwork in this release to be "dull"...then for your own health's sake, do not gaze upon the original 1973 release (which I actually prefer, graphics-wise). Heck, considering the rest of your comments, you should just avoid war-gaming totally.
