That rook and d file explanation was so impressive lol I calculated like two lines and was like sure white wins the d file… and Aman in his true mastery shows not only fast high level calculation but also almost instant pattern recognition… all lines I couldn’t see at all lol truly impressive… this is why I love this channel
@@iamstarfox87 Idk if ur joking around but for anyone wondering u guys dont play as good moves as quickly. Your opponents dont feel the power of ur moves and therefore blunder
From no chess to happy chess muppet in seven days. Created an CDC account a year ago but never played, no time. Happened to se an episode of Amans Stonewall Speedrun and liked the format and Amans easygoing explanations and general style. So. Stonewall Combined with Taimanov Aman style, inspired me to start playing and got me to a whopping 1205 in seven days with no prior chess experience. Thx Chessbrah, for excellent and inspiring content.
I've played the Carro Kan nearly the entire time I've been playing chess (2 years) and was getting really bored with it. The Taimanov is exactly what I've wanted as an E4 defense, it seems like tactics come up everywhere, it's solid, and it has just been really fun to play while I gain ELO. Thank you, sir.
I love playing this opening at my elo, there's always a pause after c5 is played. I can feel them hating the position they're about to play after the second move of the game 😂
song @17:25 - why can we never find out where this is to add on our Spotify/Apple/Amazon playlists!?! Its literally in every video Chessbrah posts but no one can find it.
Very cool battle for the d file! As long as white doesn't play Rd2 it looks like whoever is up in tempe should win the file though. E.g. Position at 41:26 is symmetric - it doesn't make sense that black is winning the file in both cases (whites move or blacks move). If its black to move black wins the file, else white wins the file. If whites move: Rd3 Rd6 Rd1 Rd8 Qc2 - black doesn't have anything better than the copy cat Qe7 Rd2 Rd7 Qd1
I’m 1800 and I’d blunder too in the way these guys did. There is something about this opening that just doesn’t go in my head, I don’t understand it and I don’t bother
Aman, maybe you should start to make some small videos that package things like the fight for the open file with rooks and queen. In general, I think that there are maybe many situations where, having equal material, a slight change in setup will lead to distinct results. Surely, there is stuff in the endgame. However, I would particularly be interested in topics that occur in the middlegame. Btw. the same principles should work for batteries on diagonals (Bishop and Queen), right?
@razorrook218 no I understand the point of the speedrun entirely. he's teaching us from low elo and showing us how to progress as it gets harder. I appreciate and enjoy it. What I mean is making 8 queens just to fuck with the opponent.
The explanation of how to fight for the open file with heavy pieces is so good. Everyone needs to watch this

That control over the D file should be its own chessable course!
That D file control explanation is gold
me a 1400: yeah please trash these 1800s lol 😄😄
Me, a 1200: How come players at my level don't play as bad as Aman's 1700+ opponents 😂😭
They play million times worse@@iamstarfox87

Aman never fails to destroy his opponents with Taimanov😩
Thank you so much for this series. It's incredibly instructive and interesting
I've been playing chess for almost 40 years and the open file topic at like 42:30 is all new to me
nice taking files lesson in there
42:30 Rd2 should let white win the file? In a (mostly) symmetrical position like this, black shouldn’t always win the file.
60 minutes rather than 30 minutes? YES PLEASE🎉🎉
This and previous video were most informative not on just openning but many principles and rules were explained which gonna help
What a lesson on the open file! 👏
I appreciate you adding this from way back of last year
awesome clinic! Thank you kind sir!

Amazing speedrun this one ! My favorite , I’m learning a ton
Just in time. Was waiting for my new opening!
23:55 isn't aman almost mated with qxd7 or I am blind ?
Fabulous description of controlling the file! Thanks!
Which song is playing at 6:25?

Road up - Tobias Bergson :-)
@h3nRyqL thanks! True Brah over here 💯

The open file lesson was great just by itself.

Not me panicking for Aman at 29:22 then him at 30:54 premoving a 4 queen checkmate whislt sipping water, bruh
Been playing this opening for 3 years. Bullet rating at 2075 rn. Excellent threats..
31:25😂 the movie
Does he actually have a checkmate course with cool looking checkmates?
This was really nice. Opponent was a bit better in the end game. But you almost had em.
Me a 1600: yeah please trash these 1800s 😂😂
Vienna Game speedrun next?
The last move needs it's own video
i can't press enough the like button
So Aman is saying he has a great snake…..
Rook lesson was absolutely worth the like!!
The educational phase of this speed run stopped at 1200 😂
Why
@@kaspervercruysse5710bc the brain doesn't work more than it💀
Eh. That’s an attitude problem on your part.
I disagree. I’ve found it very useful. The most useful thing I have discovered so far is that he doesn’t play this against the smith morra.
Me 1800 with 6 accounts with different openning but not trying to get above 1800 in any
taimanov is back eh
Vonamiat, purlease.
1800s hanging checkmates in 1 all over the place.
Which is strange. I'm 2000 rated and play 1800s almost daily that don't play that bad usually. It does happen though but not often on rated.
I use this, with black its ok. But when i use white piece, i kinda dont know what to do😂
I can understand you trolling other people at your level, but bullying people a thousand elo under your rating seems poor taste tbh
dude you're missing the point of a Speedrun. You can't start a speedrun at 3000 elo
@razorrook218 no I understand the point of the speedrun entirely. he's teaching us from low elo and showing us how to progress as it gets harder. I appreciate and enjoy it. What I mean is making 8 queens just to fuck with the opponent.
I mean… he wants to be entertained too lol
The opponent not resigning that position was also kinda poor taste, I'd call it a double negative
@@jesserizzle If you're not going to resign in a position down 8 queens you deserve whatever's coming to you
