I got to meet the designer of the original skeleton, the legendary Neils Pederson, on the Lego Inside Tour. He said that when he first had the idea, Godfred Kirk Christiansen, the owner of Lego at the time hated it and told Neils to never bring him another dead minifig. Later, when Kjeld had taken over, he showed him a more refined version and Kjeld was open to it, but said make him have a smile
Spooky Scary Skeletons that shiver up your spine! You’re right, there have been a lot of lego skeletons in sets, though my favorite skeletons are the lego Minecraft skeletons, I’ve even got like “tons” of them. They’re not just blockheads, but they’re real bone headed.
Nice video, I love Lego skeletons! Got my 1st one on 1995 Skeleton Surprise set, my happiest childhood moment! Now after growing up, bought the glow in dark evil skull + Skeletron loose unit for collection!💀💀💀
I wish you brought in the pre history, that the prototype has been around since around 1990. However, the management wasn't happy with introducing a corpse to sets. So the ghost was placed instead. Personally, I wish the skeleton showed up since initial pirates. Plus, they feel right at home with wolfpack or dragon knights. As for the question? Posing arms for when I need them to do something, but floppy arms otherwise!
I love the skeletons, but they break so easily, I had a bunch of Skulkin toys from 2011 and they all broke. I wish lego would redesign them to be more sturdy if they are fantasy villains and not just little creepy background figures.
I really love the Skulkins. They have so much personality and look really cool I've based my character, Knuckle (aka the one on my pfp), on Nuckal and my fantasy faction, The Skullkins, on the Skulkins (by name, atleast) I really wish that they were treated with more respect in Legacy and would show up on TV once more, except without the ugly-ass legacy designs
That's awesome! It would be nice to see them again, though I feel the awakened warriors and bone warriors are filling that spot in the TV show nowadays.
@@legosnek no, those are the reawakened warriors for some ungodly reason Like, are the designers unable to reuse the Wyplash model they made in the 11 minute era? Can't they just simply change the bones from gray/black to white and the eyes from green to red? It bothers me so much because the Reawakened Warriors literally cannot exists without the glowing green skull and will just continue being dead without it But, the Greenbone Warriors do have the right eye color atleast and are confirmed to be from the Underworld since in that racing episode from season 1, the announcer calls the skeleton mech as being from the Underworld
@@AL123Productions I'm fine if it's just the Bone Warriors since they have the right eye color atleast. Their side-builds also look like something that the Skulkins would have also made so it's be pretty fitting As mentioned in another reply, I absolutely hate that the Reawakened Warriors are there. I'm very passionate about the Skulkins if you couldn't tell and the undead faction that should really not even exist at this point since a certain skull that controls them is absent has replaced them entirely I really hope that it's explained as to why they Reawakened Warriors are even alive. Don't care if it's from a magazine comic or from a tv episode, because I'm like, the only person ever to care about this
I have always been a sucker for arms that move freely

The 360° arm body is definitely really cool, but it made sense to make the ones with droid arms so that they could have a bit more friction :)
I feel like floppy armed skeletons are great for decoration whilst the poseable arms are better for characters.
i fell the same

I failed to get that Minecraft skeleton nowadays, can't buy the Polybag TNT Skeleton
Both skeletons are valid. Floppy is better for decorative skeletons, while the poseable ones are amazing if you want a skeleton army
I like the floppy arms for the silly, unfortunately I don't have any, but my cousins did so I got to experience the joy of the flop
Floppy armed skeleton is love
Floppy armed skeleton is life
Replacing the original and unique Bionicle bad guys for skeletons and calling them "skull villains" was the most Lego move ever.
Well researched, the is the kind of content we want!
When using skeletons in builds I use floppy armed ones as dead people and stiff armed ones as loving skeletons
The ninjago pilot is what kinda boosted skeleton minifigures I feel like
Only recently noticed that there are two versions of "regular skeleton head" - the newer one has a slightly smaller print than the older one
I liked the floppy arms because I could recreate the blocking animation of the greivious body guards from the first lego starwars game 😂
Don't forget the dancing skeletons 5:46 that has a skeleton face but a has green skin like a zombie
i had a skeleton with floppy arms and i have Minecraft Skeletons and of course Ninjago Skeletons and the black skeleton from Ninjago
Poseable arms are the best for undead Skeletons, wobbly is best for dead skeletons like the hanging one in Vampyre's Castle
Don’t forget the cow skull from lone ranger

skeleton arms break too much and no one seems to be talking about that
The only LEGO skeletons I’ve seen are those that came from the Ninjago sets.

Nice overview! Well put together. 👌
Also there had been a debate on which arm joint is preferred and hated lol
I Love your channel and your videos are good!
They need a skeleton wave
And not just with people skeletons
I Love your channel
i have a floppy arm skeleton army
floppy arms all day.
Freely arms gotta be the best
The skeleton head from lego castle is similar to ninjago pilot skelentons head red eyes deatils on the mouth
I got the evil skeletons head 2002
i have a skeleton horse from Minecraft
I love the skeletons, but they break so easily, I had a bunch of Skulkin toys from 2011 and they all broke. I wish lego would redesign them to be more sturdy if they are fantasy villains and not just little creepy background figures.
Honestly, the Bone army from ninja go was a good direction for them.
2spooky4me
Floppy arms :)
I now realize i dont own a classic minifigure skeleton, only Minecraft skeletons :|
WAIT NO i own one of the generals from ninjago
originals are the best, the new ones with those arms. WHY LEGO, WHY!
POSABLE OF COURSE
Me to i’m his brother😊
Posable arms are better
What do you think of the new Ninjago set that came out today?
It looks interesting, reminiscent of the 2022 combo-mech but with Zane and Pixal's colour schemes. Will be great to see the full set wave soon!
@@AL123Productions the color scheme also kinda is reminiscent of Sora
2:37 what video was this from?
1:55 that sounded like something else💀💀
