I know this sounds weird, but my favorite demote refine has to be a Resplensdent Cordelia one, I just gave her way too many great skills. Also, she is really nice as a 4 star demote unit, which you upgrade it to 5 star unit.
@erikapologist Okay if I could guess a better B skill slot for Shinion I would recommend Spd Preempt 3, A skill Verge of Death could be a opinion, I would also recommend getting a Curved Shot for your special skill slot if you can only, I would also give Shinion a BOL4 or Creation Pulse or Pulse Up: Ploy C skill slot, As for the SS give Shinion a Atk/Def 3 SS so that way he has more stat boosts or give him a Mystic Boost 3 SS so that way he recovers 7 HP right away from his injury. It says a lot about the extreme skill creep that Flared Sparrow and Assasin’s Strike the best A and B slots for almost all offensive nukes a year ago are now considered the bare minimum alternatives if you get unlucky in Hall of Forms.
Definitely and I feel like with Ilyana's HOF return i feel like she's going to be absolutely powerful, also yeah I think even though POR is kinda overrated I think with this kind of power Ilyana is going to be absolutely good. So I can't complain about that for sure! :)
How nice it is that we don't have to refine gamble for most of these units. With the exception of Volke, that is. Hopefully, next time we get L!Alm to rerun since he would have access to Perfect Atk/Spd just in time that way.
i mean, having their refine already means they are likely to have less of a future, especially if their refines have been done on other units, like jill vs hreasvelgr. but that's just me, thinking about the long term..
Shinon build i’ve used is miracle with marth engage, Atk/spd finish laguz friend, Odd spd wave 4 and hardy bearing With nfu support he is legitimately invincible against slow units which is really funny + he deals good dmg from reflection effect
It's nice but is it fine that atk/spd finish requires being within 3 spaces of an ally? What if you're the only one remaining or have moved out of that range. What about going with firestorm boost since shinons tempo is only half the effect and you would have more stat uptime.
Well yeah if there were a giveaways from FEH then I would also pick Jill as my 3rd one but sadly mine is out so I have to recharge it by spending a lot of money. But yeah it would be generous to give a one free forma souls as a reward or something. I'll pick Shinion and Volke for my completion of my Tellius Mystic Altina.

I have a soul ready for Ilyana: the skills she needs are rare, so having a chance to get a merge with them will be fantastic. Mine is already +10 but the skills will be more than worth it. Personally, I'll also keep an eye on SPD/RES Ploy, mostly because my Ilyana had some speed focus lol
Jill is my absolute favorite character in all of FE (PoR is also my favorite FE game) so this forma revival FINALLY winning the vote, makes me so happy. And after Ilyana's refine I've been building and merging her up too, this forma has really great value in general. I'm also on the fence on giving Jill Shadow Shift or Miasma, I do intend to give her soaring echo so maybe I'll just be patient and wait for an ATIvy merge.

I was waiting for this video. I only need 1 more merge for Ilyana to +10 merge her, and this HoF revival came in clutch, so I won't have to summon for good skills.
I spent some time messing around with the feh mass duel simulator and came up with a shinon build that seems capable of killing most base kit meta heroes, build looks like this: (W) Double Bow(Refined) (S) Curved Shot (A) Verge of Death (or Firestorm Boost 3 can be better in some situations) (B) Null C-Disrupt 4 (Speedtaker with Firestorm Boost 3 = same results) (C) Odd Spd Wave 4 (S) Spd Def Tempo 3 (replaceable as needed, hardy bearing to kill ike) (X) Guard Echo I don't like finish skills because they require being within 3 spaces of an ally so they're out, I don't like any when unit initiates so no Sly SS since it has no value when enemy is attacking, odd speed wave 4 gives Phys NFU's main benefits, shinon does not need the reduce damage by X% when his tankability + reflect is sufficient for pretty much everything other than the snake ladies. Also don't need time's pulse 4, sure it gives you slighty better performance when initiating instead but that's not where his value lies, in the testing he loses to many of them when enemy is initiating when going with time's pulse 4 and phys nfu. My testing was done with enemy initiating and without the need for any at start of turn skills so you're as strong as you need to be the moment your opponent gets to go and attack you. There is a balancing act of sorts with shinon's reflect damage build, the verge of death works well because he wants the atk/spd for damage and tanking and he doesn't mind decreasing his def/res since he will reflect more damage, then you add in damage reduction effects like null-c and guard echo and when you balance it properly with merges/dragonflowers you can kill almost anything. Here is a list of some of what this was able to kill in the simulator, only what I tested and made work. I really appreciate Ilyana being in a Hall of Forms because she feels like a rare unit who can get high value skills in every single slot, and most of those skills don't overlap on who has them if you foddered them normally. It just feels nice.

Huh... I was thinking i would update my Ilyana but i have everything you recommended already equipped on her except ATK/RES ploy. I have the Def/Res variant. I also have a spare rune though, maybe I'll just give her Pulse Up Ploy from him and call it a day. I dont know how to make her any stronger.

I couldn’t get an excel skill for brave eirika but to be fair I want my brave eirika to still keep her gold stars so I’m fine with not getting her forma this time around. As for what’s next I do hope it’s katarina’s banner so I can update her forma a bit and have more options whenever her refine happens.
I'm looking at going for an Ilyana build that stacks up omni debuffs and penalty effects using Ruse 4 and dual Ploy 3. Either A/S Ruse and D/R Ploy or S/D Ruse and A/R Ploy.
Question for Jill, mine is already +10 and I have Atk/Spd Clash 4, Wyvern Rift, and Deadly Miasma with Soaring Echo. Is Excel worth getting or Sly is just significantly better and Momentum is better than Wyvern Rift?
Yes, Sly & Momentum are significantly better. Jill has no actual bulk to use Wyvern Rift (she gets no defense out of her refine & she is a player phase unit). Even Potent would be better than it.
Yeah Sly and Momentum allow her to player phase incredibly effectively. With her desperation and being able to proc NQ easily with Momentum, she'll hit hard and even harder with the addition of Sly.
im debating whether i wanna spend my forma on jill (to get more viable path of radiance units) or if i wanna use it on myrrh. i used a forma on shield fighter edelgard i havent even used her all that much since she can't kill without briar save so i gotta be careful but man these are tempting 😭
This would be great if I didn't have all of these units already but Shinon. I'll try to summon him in a banner. And I used a forma soul on Jill before. I'm saving the Forma souls for a different Hall of Forms lineup. Hopefully the next one may have a good lineup for me to use.
I've been waiting for Jill to come back. Ironically, the original run is where I picked up my first Forma (Volke) but I never really got any use out of him and I don't think I'm going to train him at all this time.
I would also recommend going for Def+ for bulky or option two you could go with a Atk+ so that way Ilyana deals the damage harder this is also just my opinion.
What about C bonus doubler on Ilyana for the stats with laguz friend? I ask this cause i rolled CBD early on and idk if it’s worth going for crystalline water atp lol
Yes, that can be run with Perfect Atk/Spd of Brigid and then Assassin's Strike or Speedtaker in Slot B. Though I'd say that Shinon prefers Time Pulse Echo bit more with Laguz Friend for his Miracle builds :)
I've been making sure I have at least one available forma soul for months waiting for this moment and I'm going all out updating my Ilyana. I have a spare copy of Rune for Pulse Up Ploy and from what you said I'm assuming that's her best C skill right now. Since that should cover both the ploy and pulse effects, should I go for a different kind of C skill to make the most of the forma? I have all the C skills you suggest available for fodder if she ends up needing a particular one for a specialized build. I'm thinking Breath of Life 4 (I'll be using my only Timerra for both LF4 and BoL4 at once for another merge project so that source is off the table), but there might be some other good support skill worth considering that's not coming to mind. I'd love to hear your thoughts since you've mentioned in other videos you're also going to build Ilyana.
My Ilyana has a pretty good build and I have her forma. Only thing I'm missing is slot a newer A and C and maybe Reposition Gait. But I gave her Time Pulse X Skill. I'm not sure if I want to spend my forma soul on her again. I really want to get green Ilyana on the next Forma Souls event.

On paper, you would think that I would go for Shinon or ilyana. But I already have my shinon with the prerequisite to take anything that he needs and I don’t think I need another res ploy mage unit. I have quite a few of those. So sue me but I think I’m going for Jill. I don’t have her refined yet because everybody else has been taking my divine dew/refine stones and eating them and I already have her at +6 because the game wouldn’t stop throwing me copies so yeah I think I’m going for Jill. She’s one of those units that I have at high merges, but I don’t have anything invested into. So I think that might be most worth my forma here.

Sly Mirror seems like a poor choice over Finish in most circumstances considering she has guaranteed follow up already, unless you run Arcane Thunder, though you'll still need to outspeed. The healing and double phase of Finish seems better than the stats and guaranteed follow up from Sky. And everyone is sleeping on the obvious choice of weapon: Thoron+

Who would you even say in this revival even can stand a chance against some of the new threats that have been released these days? like with how insane things have gotten lately, idk which of these even can stand a chance against like, some of the units from the winter, NY, or even ninja banner. At least volke has a chance with having a refine, but besides that, not really sure. and thinking about who of these units have the most longevity is even harder to figure out. like jill already kinda got powercrept by hreasvelgr, all things considered i think? and i just want to know which of these have the most longevity. i'd say probably volke, but it's hard to say.

This HoF kinda sucks for me. I'm satisfied with my Ilyana build enough that I don't feel the need to get another forma for her. I'm not interested in Jill or Shinon, and I can't get the ideal skills I want on Volke. I guess this one's a pass, which sucks because Volke is cool af, but I guess he'll be on the bench a while longer.

Well yeah if there were a giveaways from FEH then I would also pick Jill as my 3rd one but sadly mine is out so I have to recharge it by spending a lot of money. But yeah it would be generous to give a one free forma souls as a reward or something. I'll pick Shinion and Volke for my completion of my Tellius Mystic Altina.
@@nobunagaoda9277 IIRC they give a free forma soul in the anniversary celebration quests, and if they do it again this year it might overlap with the redeem time (we'd need the new calendar to be sure).
@mateobonavento3939 Yeah that's what I was thinking as well like give it out as a celebratory quests and anniversary quests like I'll tell you if IS decided to give out at least 2 forma souls when the next anniversary happens like it's going to be really nice for those who want to get forma souls for the first time, so yeah I definitely agree with you IS definitely needs to give out as a anniversary quest or celebratory quests. Oh, and since in year two, we didn't get any orbs like year one, i really wish this year IS decided to give out at least 30 orbs to everyone. It could make it nice again.
I have a soul ready for Ilyana: the skills she needs are rare, so having a chance to get a merge with them will be fantastic. Mine is already +10 but the skills will be more than worth it.
Personally, I'll also keep an eye on SPD/RES Ploy, mostly because my Ilyana had some speed focus lol

I'm very excited! I've been waiting for this gallery to finally arrive. If everything goes well I will get Jill and Shinon.
Jill is my absolute favorite character in all of FE (PoR is also my favorite FE game) so this forma revival FINALLY winning the vote, makes me so happy. And after Ilyana's refine I've been building and merging her up too, this forma has really great value in general. I'm also on the fence on giving Jill Shadow Shift or Miasma, I do intend to give her soaring echo so maybe I'll just be patient and wait for an ATIvy merge.
Praying to not only get good kills on Jill, Shinon and maybe Ilyana, but also for a good PoR lineup this month.

I was waiting for this video. I only need 1 more merge for Ilyana to +10 merge her, and this HoF revival came in clutch, so I won't have to summon for good skills.
I spent some time messing around with the feh mass duel simulator and came up with a shinon build that seems capable of killing most base kit meta heroes, build looks like this:
(W) Double Bow(Refined)
(S) Curved Shot
(A) Verge of Death (or Firestorm Boost 3 can be better in some situations)
(B) Null C-Disrupt 4 (Speedtaker with Firestorm Boost 3 = same results)
(C) Odd Spd Wave 4
(S) Spd Def Tempo 3 (replaceable as needed, hardy bearing to kill ike)
(X) Guard Echo
I don't like finish skills because they require being within 3 spaces of an ally so they're out, I don't like any when unit initiates so no Sly SS since it has no value when enemy is attacking, odd speed wave 4 gives Phys NFU's main benefits, shinon does not need the reduce damage by X% when his tankability + reflect is sufficient for pretty much everything other than the snake ladies. Also don't need time's pulse 4, sure it gives you slighty better performance when initiating instead but that's not where his value lies, in the testing he loses to many of them when enemy is initiating when going with time's pulse 4 and phys nfu. My testing was done with enemy initiating and without the need for any at start of turn skills so you're as strong as you need to be the moment your opponent gets to go and attack you. There is a balancing act of sorts with shinon's reflect damage build, the verge of death works well because he wants the atk/spd for damage and tanking and he doesn't mind decreasing his def/res since he will reflect more damage, then you add in damage reduction effects like null-c and guard echo and when you balance it properly with merges/dragonflowers you can kill almost anything. Here is a list of some of what this was able to kill in the simulator, only what I tested and made work.

This is enemy initiates, challenger initiates, enemy initiates, but it also works out the same if they initiate the entirety, if shinon initiates it's still great but he does better killing upon being attacked.
I really appreciate Ilyana being in a Hall of Forms because she feels like a rare unit who can get high value skills in every single slot, and most of those skills don't overlap on who has them if you foddered them normally. It just feels nice.
picking up Ilyana for sure. not sure about Jill and Shinon but depends on skills i guess.
As for the next HoF revival. I hope Valentia wins. My Valentia team really needs an update and some nice skills on Alm and Delthea will certainly help

They should have the forma soul packs be 2 every time a hall of forms comes out. New or revival... not just the new ones only.

Oh man this is just in time. Got Shinon to +9 but no skills at all. Ilyana I had +10 and still has fine enough skills from previous HoF. Volke I can wait till refine and Jill I see what I can get.

Huh... I was thinking i would update my Ilyana but i have everything you recommended already equipped on her except ATK/RES ploy. I have the Def/Res variant.
I also have a spare rune though, maybe I'll just give her Pulse Up Ploy from him and call it a day. I dont know how to make her any stronger.

My Jill is +8 and I need all these skills for her. She’s my favorite Tellius character, but last forma event I wasn’t so lucky so I hope this isn’t the case this time
I couldn’t get an excel skill for brave eirika but to be fair I want my brave eirika to still keep her gold stars so I’m fine with not getting her forma this time around. As for what’s next I do hope it’s katarina’s banner so I can update her forma a bit and have more options whenever her refine happens.

I'm looking at going for an Ilyana build that stacks up omni debuffs and penalty effects using Ruse 4 and dual Ploy 3. Either A/S Ruse and D/R Ploy or S/D Ruse and A/R Ploy.
Question for Jill, mine is already +10 and I have Atk/Spd Clash 4, Wyvern Rift, and Deadly Miasma with Soaring Echo. Is Excel worth getting or Sly is just significantly better and Momentum is better than Wyvern Rift?
Yes, Sly & Momentum are significantly better. Jill has no actual bulk to use Wyvern Rift (she gets no defense out of her refine & she is a player phase unit). Even Potent would be better than it.
Yeah Sly and Momentum allow her to player phase incredibly effectively. With her desperation and being able to proc NQ easily with Momentum, she'll hit hard and even harder with the addition of Sly.

im debating whether i wanna spend my forma on jill (to get more viable path of radiance units) or if i wanna use it on myrrh. i used a forma on shield fighter edelgard i havent even used her all that much since she can't kill without briar save so i gotta be careful but man these are tempting 😭

I'm saving the Forma souls for a different Hall of Forms lineup. Hopefully the next one may have a good lineup for me to use.
I've been waiting for Jill to come back. Ironically, the original run is where I picked up my first Forma (Volke) but I never really got any use out of him and I don't think I'm going to train him at all this time.

I would also recommend going for Def+ for bulky or option two you could go with a Atk+ so that way Ilyana deals the damage harder this is also just my opinion.
I may consider Jill just cause in the journey to get Kana from the special tickets I’ve gotten myself a number of Jill (+4) and Minerva (+9)
It's odd how Shinon's better skills look like they're mostly from a year ago and maybe more.
What about C bonus doubler on Ilyana for the stats with laguz friend? I ask this cause i rolled CBD early on and idk if it’s worth going for crystalline water atp lol

Yes, that can be run with Perfect Atk/Spd of Brigid and then Assassin's Strike or Speedtaker in Slot B. Though I'd say that Shinon prefers Time Pulse Echo bit more with Laguz Friend for his Miracle builds :)
I've been making sure I have at least one available forma soul for months waiting for this moment and I'm going all out updating my Ilyana. I have a spare copy of Rune for Pulse Up Ploy and from what you said I'm assuming that's her best C skill right now. Since that should cover both the ploy and pulse effects, should I go for a different kind of C skill to make the most of the forma? I have all the C skills you suggest available for fodder if she ends up needing a particular one for a specialized build. I'm thinking Breath of Life 4 (I'll be using my only Timerra for both LF4 and BoL4 at once for another merge project so that source is off the table), but there might be some other good support skill worth considering that's not coming to mind. I'd love to hear your thoughts since you've mentioned in other videos you're also going to build Ilyana.
I'm really torn between Firm Canto Curb and A/R Ploy on Ilyana. I don't have any other sources of FCC. How strong is Ploy in practice?

My Ilyana has a pretty good build and I have her forma. Only thing I'm missing is slot a newer A and C and maybe Reposition Gait. But I gave her Time Pulse X Skill.
I'm not sure if I want to spend my forma soul on her again. I really want to get green Ilyana on the next Forma Souls event.

On paper, you would think that I would go for Shinon or ilyana. But I already have my shinon with the prerequisite to take anything that he needs and I don’t think I need another res ploy mage unit. I have quite a few of those. So sue me but I think I’m going for Jill. I don’t have her refined yet because everybody else has been taking my divine dew/refine stones and eating them and I already have her at +6 because the game wouldn’t stop throwing me copies so yeah I think I’m going for Jill. She’s one of those units that I have at high merges, but I don’t have anything invested into. So I think that might be most worth my forma here.
Definitely going for Volke but I may go for Laguz Friend Shinon for the irony

Sly Mirror seems like a poor choice over Finish in most circumstances considering she has guaranteed follow up already, unless you run Arcane Thunder, though you'll still need to outspeed. The healing and double phase of Finish seems better than the stats and guaranteed follow up from Sky.
And everyone is sleeping on the obvious choice of weapon: Thoron+

Who would you even say in this revival even can stand a chance against some of the new threats that have been released these days? like with how insane things have gotten lately, idk which of these even can stand a chance against like, some of the units from the winter, NY, or even ninja banner. At least volke has a chance with having a refine, but besides that, not really sure. and thinking about who of these units have the most longevity is even harder to figure out. like jill already kinda got powercrept by hreasvelgr, all things considered i think? and i just want to know which of these have the most longevity. i'd say probably volke, but it's hard to say.

Also I know Laguz Friend is the best skill for Infantry units now, kinda a centralizing skill to be honest, but putting it on Shinon of all characters is just wrong. He's the biggest hater of the Laguz. 😆

This HoF kinda sucks for me. I'm satisfied with my Ilyana build enough that I don't feel the need to get another forma for her. I'm not interested in Jill or Shinon, and I can't get the ideal skills I want on Volke. I guess this one's a pass, which sucks because Volke is cool af, but I guess he'll be on the bench a while longer.
