im not even joking watching him edgeguard fox is super helpful. I always end up failing to trade and i think its bc i challenge firefox while its in motion and not just in startup and the very end. also his spacing is so nuts.
Those Armada vs. Mew2King edgeguards are kinda like watching the Williams sisters in tennis. You gotta that get *one* more hit in before you finish the point off!
I lost a small tourney yesterday because I couldn´t edgeguard properly with Peach - 10 minutes of watching this vid and tacking notes I feel like a different player.
How close to the ledge are you? Peach's dair is disjointed enough so that you can still hit wall huggers when you dair a little bit less than "1 turnip width" away from the ledge. For edgeguards where spacies don't hug the wall, you have to get a bit closer to the ledge. If you wanna be more precise, look at the hitboxes in 20XX. The closer you are to the ledge when dairing, the more likely you are to get hit, because Peach's dair actually has some gaps where no hitboxes exist, giving Fox/Falco a chance to run into you.
Yep, I actually asked the exact same question about a year ago. I realized that staying back slightly to dair is much more safe, but if you'd like to be more safe, bair covers pretty much everything. So you can be a little more daring with bair, just make sure you throw out the hitbox right as they're about to hit you. If you bair too early, you may get burned.
something i'd suggest doing is practice doing FC bairs and fairs at ledge, depending on the angle of the up b. both of these moves are pretty disjointed, fair especially. for bair look at the frame data and really understand how the active hit boxes look during start up.
I know its an 8 month old comment.. but for the sake of those who have the same question.... you have to stand a little further from the edge. Look closely to the distance armada is standing... its further than one would guess.
I know this is super old, but i was wondering; often when Armada drops to ledge and his opponent recovers on stage he gets up and does the instant float nair. Is there a reason to do this over down smash, like is it faster, stronger, a better angle, etc? Edit: ive been thinking about it and my best guess is it can cover platforms too. He still does it on FD and no plat FoD, but idk
If Peach down smashes, you can crouch cancel the first hit and the second hit sends you toward center stage. If Peach nairs, the only thing you can do is Amsah tech, which Peach can punish. So against good players, nair is more consistent.
This is amazing footage but it would be significantly more amazing if you also included missed edge guards. Just including the edge guards that go right only shows part of the picture.
I will consider this. I see a lot of missed edgeguards. Everyone acts like Armada never misses any, but he does and there is a lot to be learned from them.
ya, I've practicing that, but I have to switch finger positions to do it. I have to use my index finger to hold jump, then use my thumb on the c stick to down air, which is a bit awkward
I'm super late but, hold Y down with the tip of your thumb then when you want to use any aerial keep your thumb down but flatten it out so it is pressing A and Y at the same time (just change which aerial you use with the control stick instead)
You forgot all the westballz fox + falco (and many other falcos, I assume). Not sure if you just lost interest or what. Also missing chudat and probably other ICies
Mang0 trying to get back on stage is me trying to get into the college i want.
Half this video is sweaty 15 year olds screaming "MANGOOOO" while mango just gets facefucked over and over
Docummentary: How to edgeguard with peach
"That was an m2k angle" 2016 was so long ago :(

wait, Ryan Ford has a sheik? lel
Jeez falco was dead in 2016.
Argo the god
Does Peach have better edge guarding against the top 8 characters compared to Sheik?
Maybe against falcon, sheik, and ICs
SO MANY FOXES
WHERE ARE THE MARTHS AND FALCOS!
how does armada hover right above the ground without jumping when he does down air ledgeguards?
Claudius Ptolemy hold down while standing. then hold jump to begin floating. any other questions?

How does armada float right above the ground like that?
Mr. Mr. hold down when you press x/y?
I'll have to try it out. It seems very necessary to know how to do in order to execute the bulk of peaches edgeguards
+Mr. Mr. Not just edgeguarding, instant float is a crucial technique for Peach in general.
kirbykaze recovery op
gaurds
Haha, dang I messed up the title last year too. Thanks for the heads up.

Why do people not tech the peach dair at ledge?
Some Kind of Nice Because you can't. There isn't enough knockback on the little hits
Is there someone in this fucking game that actually doesnt use fox?
Luisete993 you say as you watch a video about a Peach player.
DannyM166 joke went over your head bud. My apologies. I should have been more clear.
