Hey StevieB, I like your channel, I watch almost every video. But, I just want to add a little more to this one... I'm wanting the new players to know that you're not limited to just getting the weapons off of the TT before level 10/15. On the Auction House you can get weapons for all the ranged types from the Isis line. They start at items like the, Isis LLP 1 (L). Just type in the search at the Auction House "Isis" rather than "ArMatrix". This helped me a lot at my lower levels, because of being able to do the Gauntlet at Camp Icarus. You can do the first one easy with an Isis LLP 4 (L), and the other with an Isis LLP 6 (L). Even easier if you go with the Rifle line. It also takes away from the monotony of just grinding on one mob until your level 10+ to start the ArMatrix climb (which I agree is what makes a lot of new players stop playing, they get bored and move on to a different game). When I was able to use the Isis LLP 6 (L), that's when I headed over to Fort Lahar and started to have fun with Combibo, Snarksnot, Kerberos. Same thing with Fort Troy, Chugs Hideout, etc. These are all "low level" areas, but new players won't see them for months, if not a year, into playing EU, because their Mentors don't tell them about the Isis line. The ArMatrix line is relatively new to the game. I started playing when we had the Solomate Apolo (UL) in the TT, with no Energy/BP Ammo drops, it was just loot, with the (what seemed TOO often) "This creature carried no loot". I just swunted a lot back then, that's why I was so low level when Icarus came out, I really didn't start caring until the CDF missions launched. Because I love doing mission lines, that's why I got so cought up in playing WoW for 7+ years. I love me some quests. 😄 With regards to not getting an Unlimited Weapon before level 10/15. I own the low level Ozpyn weapons, what I might suggest is that when someone is able to use the Ozpyn BP S1X1... Go ahead and get it... Because, with the addition of the ArMatrix lines to EU, there is a BP Amp that perfectly matches this gun with 8 damage... This is what I used at Fort Lahar after I was able to use it. It leveled out the difference between my Lazer and Ballistic profession's. That was before the addition of the P20 extenders. So I'm betting that it'd be WAY BETTER for someone else going that route now, than how it was for me back then. And lastly... I didn't even touch Long Blade (LB) and Short Blade (SB) skill gains until I was able to use the ArMatrix LB/SB-10 through my "bleed off skilling" from leveling up my LR/LP/BR/BP skills. I now use the LB in the Feffoid cave Daily with a Melee Trauma Amplifier 4, and the SB in the Argo cave Daily with an appropriate Amp. Switching back and forth between what weapon is used in what cave, to keep the skill gains even. I like my stuff even.😁 Anyways, this turned out to be long. Hey man, great video. I have a quetion though... Why not the Bukins spare rifle instead of TT weapons? It is a free gun, gained from a mission, unlimited, can be adjusted trough a mission... And maxes out at skill lvl2 on the basic form.
Hard on for LR Armatrix is unjustified. It’s almost the worst thing you can aspire to. Markup is king over efficiency here. Skill up with Isis LLP 6, LLP 16, Omegaton Igni series, all great L options that you can regularly get for around 105% or under. The unlimited omegaton A102/3/4 amps are all pretty cheap to buy, only a few hundred ped, and pair with all of these nicely. Note they are all pistols too, that’s ok, don’t be afraid of the mobs. Stevie says to use range to compensate for your low defence. I say do the opposite. They only way to start building a strong avatar with good defence is to get hit, a lot. A casual hunter can keep sourcing these and similar weapons and maintain his gameplay. Sure use armatrix if you have no other options, but it should only be a backup. If you intend to hunt a little more you need to start considering an unlimited weapon, as you will quickly find problems sourcing the aforementioned limited options. But you don’t need to spend heaps. An Igni L1000 or a Isis zero three(BLP) will only set you back a couple thousand ped, and if you buy it at market value and don’t over pay, you will likely get your money back or even make a small profit when you upgrade later.
this mainly focuses on laser. What about BLP career? Im currently lvl 15, used to grind with ark on shinkibas, overqualified, efficient shit... wondering what is next.
Hi Stevie my friend and I were having a discussion on Extenders in general, and were confused why you would recommend either buying a 25 PED extender that is near broken...you could buy a 200 ped new extender, but thjat would only make sense if that gun is 1000 PED total or something over 400 PED to get more life out of that weapon as it is limited but that is not the case with LR-10 as it is 32 PED on avg. Could you please provide us with some insight on what to do in this situation with consideration to extenders and (L) weapons that are lower levels. Thank you.
People should buy the Armatrix stuff only when there is no other option. For example the unlimited energy amps cost around 200-300ped. You can break them and repair them forever, the limited amp will break after each hunt and you will have to pay markup again, same for the Armatrix weapon. There are many looted limited guns on sale with around 105% mu, the armatrix gun have 110-140% or something like that, its not small difference. After while you realize your weapon and amp break every day and you pay maybe 10ped in markup for these items, thats 70 ped per week or close to 300ped per month, just on the markup. This assumes you hunt everyday.. when you compare this to some lower lvl unlimited setup you pay maybe alot more upfront, but you still have the gun every day and once you dont need it anymore, you just sell it and get the money back and you save ton of cash on markup and constant hasle to get a limited gun for reasonable price.
