Hey man! I wish my fr810 had so easy to use presets! This thing is easy to use like a car radio. I haven't use a quick but I haven't heard a negative review ever.
TLDW: CH1 150c/70, CH2: 365c/70, CH3: 500c/120

mine doesnt turn off when you set it down. It used to do that not sure if I accidentally pushed something. Do you know the settings?
Why is your LCD inverted? Did you rotate the polarization filters?

Does this station have a brushless motor? I've seen some teardown videos about this station and those stations contains a brushed mini motor inside, instead a brushless as the specs claim. I think some one is selling falsifications.
Which one is better BST-863 or 861DW?
what do you suggest for this Quick hot air Station , i am wondering because the one i have its KADA Brand and its just 40$ and its also doing the job. ????

Hey Justin, I went and ordered the quick station the other day.
Could you please give some suggestion on which nozzles I should get. I see there are two types, one with the straight nozzle and the other that has slightly bended nozzles which I haven't used before.

It comes with the three basic sizes, I use the middle sized one in the basic kit.
just received my quick today and new to soldering is the quick ok out the box or do i need to calibrate it can you tell me cheers
Have you figured out how to set the safety password? Every time I set a new password, I turn it on and it says "password no" how do I change to yes!
I have not even tried lol
@@kylemcmahon24 it's not clear but after struggling to find anyone covering this other than a Spanish review video I believe it is not a password safety feature. I think it just locks the pre sets so techs can't change them.
@@joeldiment146 i would say that is the case... have u calibrated ur quick nine new out if the box yesterday according to my fluke multimeter my quick temp was off by like 70°c
@@kylemcmahon24 I have not calibrated mine yet, it is also new. I upgraded also to a jbc precision iron cd-s t210 as well. I believe mine was calibrated by the supplier here in the UK who are a licensed vendor but I need to check to be sure. I had a problem with the switch on the quick last night so took it apart, which I really do not advise. putting the case back on is not easy! I believe the switch may have a safety feature where it locks out if you press it to often or maybe mine is faulty but it's ok for now again.
How to know if it's original or not?

Me too, not finding it very good at all. Gone from a cheap 998d which would work well at 350/380c for tablets and mobiles but the quick wont remove anything at that temp :/ waste of money
Hi Justin I know this is asking alot but I just bought one of these quick 861dw stations and when i turned it on it just displays a H-E error and does nothing. The manual indicates this is a heating element failure. However the fan does not spin up either. I'm trying to decide if i should spend $80 to get a replacement heating element. Is there anyway you could unplug the heating element and tell me if the fan still spins up on a working unit? If it does I know my unit is stuffed on both fronts. Also could you do an ohm measurement of the heating coils and tell me what value to expect? Or if any other viewers are happy to help a fellow out I would be very grateful.
Hey! I honestly think the best way to get an answer for this will be to just contact quick CS, I have spoken to them on a few occasions about things and they got back to me pretty quickly.
What the difference between the Quick 861+ and the Quick 861W ?

Why i got 2 more quicks on the way, price is rising on what i believe is best hot air station currently on the market, better than hakko, weller and jbc imo...

Not true at all. All my quicks were purchased directly from quick distributors. lol I think you should explain why you say that.
@@TheArtofRepair I saw a comparison on this channel, the front view is with a different label on the Lead Free section, I see the front view you have is more similar to the fake one, try to test the end of the handle, is it magnetic? the real one is not magnetized, try to test whether the end of the handle is not magnetized, the label looks like this on the back, it means it's probably original
