    It’s been 26 years or more since i last touched a Tamiya.. I work in a school and they started experimenting with the Tamiya’s for the robotics club and got a track.. recently staff stArted to get back into it as well lol.. but I’m not familiar with the classes this video was an eye opener for me .. thanks for that bro! so now I know I’ll be building a b-max class car .. don’t remember there being so many chassis back in the 90’s ..

    @Yusry thanks for the video, it look like Ian very nervous 🤭. Do remember all racers no sand paper for the chassis and no drilling for chassis as well.

    • @yusrydeluna
      @yusrydeluna  ปีที่แล้ว

      No sanding, yes. But chamfering of the plate is allowed. Drilling cowls to lighten and replace with mesh is also allowed. Lightening of chassis is not allowed.

    Thanks guys. I just started to learn more deeply about tamiya 4wd. Very helpful for almost zero knowledge like me. One question: we need to use all original tamiya brands for tournaments, even for batteries and fpr right?

    • @yusrydeluna
      @yusrydeluna  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Local races usually would allow some aftermarket parts, see my other video on why is that so. As for motors, almost all races only allow original motors (with some restrictions). For batteries, always consult the organisers on which batteries can be used.

    What's the best tires to use for bmax set up? Small or medium. Hard or super hard?

    • @yusrydeluna
      @yusrydeluna  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I prefer small. Lower CG. Prefer superhard (over hard), less grip makes more cornering speed and lower jumps. However, tires selection is not always foolproof so you have to make the necessary adjustments based on the track layout.

      Setuju. Cuma kelas B-Max berasal dari Jepang tujuan untuk memberi kesempatan kepada pemula untuk berjinak dalam hobi dan dapat bersaing dalam lumba bersama-sama. Untuk kelas lain seperti Side Damper keluaran dari Indonesia itu terpulang kepada lokasi masing-masing. Tidak ada dalil kelas ini lebih indah dari kelas yang lain, mahupun dari kelas stock hingga lah kelas open.

    What rechargeable battery brand and battery capacity do you use?

    • @yusrydeluna
      @yusrydeluna  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Preferred: Tamiya Neochamps (typical 1000mah)
      Alternative: Fujitsu (Pink, typical 1000mah)
      These are the 2 I generally use.
      For capacity more than 1000mah e.g. 2000mah or 2500mah, they generally weigh more (and sometimes physically longer, making it difficult to fit in the chassis). Your milage may vary. Is it ok to use? Sure, if the race allows them (as always, check with the race officials).

    Does ir have to be side dampered or can you use lanterns if you can build one without cutting?

    • @yusrydeluna
      @yusrydeluna  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lantern still have to come from side damper, meaning you can raise from the side, extend forward, then drop the damper like a lantern. If u do lanterns from across chassis (like doing body damper style) those are not allowed. If you extend from middle chassis to side, this is ok, the only chassis that can probably do this is MS.
