My god that cour slapsssss, it dont think it was worse then cour 1 or cour 2
cour 3 is hype as hell and definitely better quality but gotta say BLEACH still deserves soooo much more in terms of animation, choreography, direction, longer fights

True we need more and more quality. Like watching stuff like csm makes me think that atleast a single or 2 fights should have this quality if not all fights. I think its time for peirrot to get alot of web gen and other outsiders freelancers+ new young talent like toei.

Bleach has been sorely lacking in the fights department, things are being hard carried by the writing
@@Zangetsu-gaTenshoidk but with the team they had for c3 they were perfectly able to make an ep with even better animation than yama fight the thing is that in c1 they just put the main lead or their ppl on just ep 6 while in c3 they had even more wider team with much much more talent but they actually used them in all the fights. C4 is gonna be 50% anime only scene which means alot of creative freedom and with how tominaga said abt time and money they won't gonna step back with great schedule and hiring of more and mire animators and even animators won't back down with all good environment and creative freedom to join c4.

Are you referring to Ichigo vs Uryu, while that was impressive as hell... Ion think it's eps 6 lvl still, that eps was pure madness
Yet other anime are dishing out eps 4 lvl stuff multiple times in their seasons, like aot, csm, op etc
I'd love if c4 had eps 4 lvl creativity in all eps, it's the end of bleach for crying out loud
Studio Pierrot is so devoted that they opened a new branch exclusively for Bleach. Hope Pierrot films will have a look at Black clover after cour 4.

Idk bro Pierrot Films was established for mature uncensored shows like BLEACH.
Black Clover or Boruto might not be suited for their modus operandi, but hey there is always chance of assistance

Studio Pierrot delivered big time be it the initial phase of the war or Yoruichi stealing the show and ending 2024 spectacularly. They have revived the saga in the best way imaginable and with Kubo's vision and guidance more so.
7:25 actually I heard from some freelancer in the industry that worked on bleach, JJK, castlevania, etc. that anime tends to have less details in their storyboards compared to some of the western studio, the goal is not to create highly detailed storyboards but rather the idea behind it and you can find this with other animes too. When it comes to storyboards you also have to think about the economics of how much work it puts on the KA and inbetweeners, there are cases where you have animators that have done LOs and they are so hard and complex for KA and inbetweeners to adapt to the point of needing to cut most of it.
@@WieldMyWord thats true, storyboards are really mostly sketches and translating them to motion is the LO animators job. However muratas boards ARE indeed restrictive and not that welcoming/good enough to work on as they focus more on the cinematography aspect instead of the animation/movement. For example See yuki sato's work on a murata storyboard and on a Tsuru storyboard. The difference is night and day
@@selehadindelilo6375 I mean we can't judge murata storyboard skill based on some small stuff that aren't priority scenes. Like with Tagushi, Murata has probably also taken a lot of stuff uncredited since its a team effort kind of thing. there are several layers after a storyboard is done that can change the final product with LO, KA, inbetweeners, compositors, etc. "cinematography aspect" is what serves best in storyboarding its what most directors go as their secondary field of expertise since both put the ideas and scenario on the paper, if Murata did the LO, KA, inbetweeners then sure it would be a valid reason of critizism, but from what we know he has not touched those areas.
"See yuki sato's work on a murata storyboard and on a Tsuru storyboard" Source? We rarely get to see the behind the scenes of storyboards, and in this NHK we saw only bits of Murata. I have seen artist that are proficient animators and can make crazy "sakuga" scenes but their storyboard is basic in its composition but the end product is lifted with everything else. Not saying Murata is a good or bad storyboarder but we don't have the full picture to evaluate his skill (the blu-ray background stuff rarely give us the full background going in to it) and where stuff falls short, personally I think he is probably mediocre at storyboarding since he doesn't have much experience in that field based on his resume and maybe he is taking this opportunity to level up.
@@WieldMyWord the storyboards for retsu vs zaraki was done by murata and yuki sato worked on it, we know which scenes she did
Same with bazz vs jugram. We also know which scenes she did so that's the ones i wanted u to compare.
Also i have zero complaints about murata boarding non action scenes, I actually do like his normal boards and I'd be happy if he handles last few eps of c4 since they're not action.

There are 1000 things that go into creating the finished product and just because there was a weird or bad transition or board on a Murata episode it doesn't immediately mean it's a direct reflection of Murata skill like FoR likes to shit on all the time. Just really superficial analysis.

idk whether other studios already did this before but Studio behinds *Bleach* making a substitute Studio just to Excel our beloved _Substitute Shinigami_ (pun always intended) qualities, they already cooking hard & I'm not complaining.. plus if their needed more times to set up the next cour, I'm down for sure (for the prolonged / delayed times)

Studio Pierrot and Kubo aren’t playing any games. They’re doing everything right. I have no doubt that they will OVERDELIVER on all that they set out to do. If I had one wish, to PLEASE set the last cour to 20 episodes. I know this is a limit given upon them from a higher power. But if its possible they can change it, they should try! Give it the avatar the last airbender treatment. There’s so much characters and loose ends to tie up, it would be better to make it even longer to flesh things out more. It’s clear they listen to fan critiques, and they want to deliver the best quality possible, taguchi literally says it in the video lol. However, the writing is so extremely skilled in the series, they’re able to wrap up so many things so far with the limited amount of episodes they have. I don’t think people know how impressive that is, especially with a show as many characters in bleach. Either way, I feel they’ll achieve it in 13, but 20 would be incredible if possible!

With A year and a half with not many fights to adapt, i will NOT lower my expectations whatsoever. That was the way almost the entire fanbase was operatin on. don't expect too much and you won't get disappointed. But not anymore, if we don't get something as good or even better than boruto ep 65 for the final fight, man idek what I'd feel about that. The schedule problem is already solved.now what they NEED is new people, and hopefully the directors decide to be less strict so that they could involve many good animators. Both the series director and the chief director being fairly new, not having good connections and has been hurting the series. Hope they let others take the reign when it comes to action animation
I guess for now they have pretty good 3-4 inhouse animators too from c3 (yuki sato and more)+ one general thing I noticed is that in anime only scenes where the most creative freedom is there has a lot of talented animators worked on it like uryu vs ichigo and renji vs uryu. And c3 I think was more abt how they actually restructured everything in the middle of production which is why I think there were soke cracks in last 2 ep but was still pretty good that they managed Gerard 2d with 2-3 very fluid cuts and askin vs yoruichi was also very good. C4 is without a question gonna be much better in quality just hoping we get some big shot lead anima tors atleast for kenny,toshiro and byakuya vs gerard,ichigo vs yhwach and yhwach vs aizen,ichigo and renji.

Cour 3 was amazing for me and im really happy for that amazing cour, but i think other people still feelin lackin specialy about the combat in bleach. Tbh people just want to see that hand to hand or slash to slash combat animation lol and if that good people will eat it.

I just hope they're not afraid to use different animation styles in cour 4, maybe use some kagenashi action scenes. or where the characters are drawn weird/goofy and not as detailed but in exchange that makes it easier for the animators hence more fluidity, and movements, more impact frames and not just the usual black and white one, but smth flashy, colorful kinda like from the fights from Onigashima from One PIece like that Zoro vs King one. Not to mention choreography, it's difficult since TYBW is more hax based but it's still do able kinda like Uryu vs Ichigo. Use of camera movements, POV shots would be cool, more of that itano circus(?) scene. Like really just go all out, I hope they cook 🙏🏼

@@jumpscare9430 They did in the OG Bleach unfortunately it was in one of the fillers, and yeah ik the TYBW overall aesthetic is just too detailed for a kagenashi style animation, it's too detailed with it's lighting, shadows, etc. I was just hopium they'd do it at some point.

The onigashima stuff was sloppy and gave viewers epilepsy, I would rather take modern Kanada style over that. Tybw should find its own style, maybe take influence from the impact animation of Masked fight combined with Yoruichi vs askin arrow scene and expand on that.
Cour 2 didn't have a drop in quality. While it didn't reach the highs of Cour 1, the quality in general improved.

Taguchi not being credited part is bs lmao ,he is credited as director , its just cope on certain people of the fandoms end , but in short director is involved in every single episode whether he actually does the ep or not doesn't matter much lol 😂
I have a decent amount of confidence in cour 4 ngl, i just question if they can deliver another very high production lvl ep like ep 6 again while keeping the cour 3 consistency at the same time.
But beyond TYBW, that's where the real test will begin i think, cause by then Boruto and BC may have returned, so Tominaga won't be able to reliably count on the help from those teams.
I think that the last 2 battles of ichigo vs yhwach and aizen,ichigo and renji vs yhwach should be made kagenashi cause why not. It will give more natural and new look bleach will ever have.
@@vaidikchauhan4382 I don't get this newfound stanning for kagenashi these days. It's literally just animation with no shadows (kage = shadow & nashi = without).
If they can make a high grade episode without having to do kagenashi i don't see an issue with it.
Often times if kagenashi isn't just used for scenes with minimal light sources, the drawings end up looking a bit flat...
@@Mr.BluePantsnot really stanning for it but I think kagenashi lets animators more freedom and easier to animate and bleach character design are generally complex to make. I think we can agree that c4 needs to level up even further with animation given how they admit for no time and money excuse. Really need that solo leveling s2 level improvement for c4 or c4 matching the level of solo leveling s2 animation and choreography.
@ Honestly SL season 2 is looking similar to its s1 quality for now at least. But yeah that's the lvl they should at least try to be at for the final cour of TYBW.
Kaganashi can help, but it's up to whether it fits the scene or not. Also up to what the episode director for the ep wants to do. Nothing we can do about it.
If they allow Murata to be in charge of Ichigo vs Yhwach f.e. it's game over basically.
@@Mr.BluePants I still think Solo Leveling S1 is the better looking cour so far (OP was much better animated and the overall quality is better still). Jinwoo vs Baruka looked really good but I'd wait for the big fights to see if they can surpass Jinwoo vs Igris before I give my score, tbh.
I'm predicting Murata will be on the final episode. Final episode of C4 is probably going to be the epilogue (aftermath of Yhwach's defeat), mostly non-action so IMO it's completely fine for Murata to get involved in it. We might get Masashi Kudo as KA for a final character acting cut as well. It's possible.
We are most likely saved from Murata curse from the big fights I hope.

I remember seeing videos about espada on this channel what happened to them? Did they get taken down or what and is there any where else where i can watch them? (Specially the starrk one)
As for color, I think the character of Bleach is what's important. The black and white are emphasized in the manga, but I think as translated from the page, the color becomes a focus, s8nce the bpack and white of the page was important. Like, while the color of Shunsui's bankai we got is perfectly fitting for a stage play, it's understandable that people were expecting domething darker, to reflect the manga, to give an example. I believe the vibrant colors emphasize the world and are a natural extension of the work, despite it being in black and white.
Also, I'd love a remake of the anime that more closely follows the manga. Things like correcting Ichigo's reiatsu color, Yoruichi and Soi Fon having their uncensored outfits, restoring Orihime's butchered character, a general removal of censored scenes, and with the Perriot Films budget, the large scale battle format would capture the battles arguably better, while making a remake feel unique enough to justify its existence.

They need to fix Aizen's Look
Cour 4 needs to be more creative with the fights. It cannot be one to one with the manga.
From what I have heard they only use manga panels when there is no reason to change from it and often save times. Cour 4 has like 25 chapters to adapt so fights are going to be mostly new stuff that are not in the manga.
if only he made this choice when they were making Tokyo Ghoul :(

Its called having too high expectation, it was fine but people expected more.
Not really fair when they have to compete with One Piece and Solo leveling. The animation for Bleach is very clean and safe but I haven’t seen anything too ambitious like Vincent Chansards work. Ik I’m wrong for saying this but, nothing has impressed me since S1. I applaud their determination though, such as making a sub studio.
I mean one piece and solo leveling isn't that impressive, and while Vincent does some great stuff sometimes his animation stuff looks like animation made out of Newgrounds sometimes. It doesn't fit the anime aesthetics and looks like western cartoon animation due to how heavy freelance work blends in to some anime projects.

I don't know man calling Murata a "Novice" is a bit much and pretentious.
Like you won't get to Murata's position if you are as incompetent as an animator and storyboarder.
Like I don't know how you can claim he is "novice" at this work especially when the earliest he did are like storyboarding.
Also another context Pierrot films is also kinda like a gamble, if they wasn't able to deliver in their first project that won't bode well to the longevity of their subdivision.
And you won't put Murata high up in the ranks if people who worked in the industry think he is a novice.
I think their is a fine line on not liking a dudes work, I get that. But to call a dude novice is Abit too much especially when we don't like work or know much about their line of work to give more credibility to our judgement in their work.
Storyboards are meant to be messy and even an animator who worked as freelancer on both TYBW and JJK season 2 said when she did storyboards for studios in Japan they are often very rough compared to western studios and looks like children who drew it because the point of an storyboard is to bring ideas and give an scenario, after than you have LO (which is a different artist) that transition the scenes together and how it ends up feeling in the end of the final. Don't know where this "Murata" hates comes from since its very baseless without any sources because someone started spreading conspiracy around some episodes he worked on not considering in the factor of prdouction time, other artists, etc.

Cour 3 animation was better than every ep that wasn't ep 6 & 7.
The thing is, Pierrot/Taguchi seems to think 1to1 adaptation of battles is good.
Little room for creativity, just panel to panel battle adaptation...
They adapt this style with fights that don't necessarily need extensions(in their opinion).
But with new and extended fights they always cook much harder.
1to1 examples:
Shunsui vs Lille
Mayuri vs Pernida
Zaraki vs Gremmy
Byakuya vs As Nodt
Extended/new examples:
Ichigo vs Uryu
Renji vs Uryu
Ichigo vs Yhwach(rd 1+2)
Ichigo vs Bambies
Squad 0
New/extended battles are free of the 1to1 curse... All those battles clear the 1to1 examples I gave choreography wise.
THIS is why I'm confident Cour 4 will be amazing, not because of their promises but because of the creative freedom of Cour 4 battles.
Uryu vs Jugram, Gerard vs everyone, the final battle etc.
These are free from 1to1, being free for creative freedom.

Shinchi kurita hasn't appeared on idk in long a time,no rio matsumoto as well if my memory serves correct. Hironori tanaka is so occupied with wistoria and csm or any other stuff. Lets be real bleach needs is more web gen talent and more young talent then industry leads cause these animators might work for more longer for them like how yen bm even as a web gen has prolly worked on toei only for a lot of time and other young talent too. Chengxi appeared as AD but he didn't do any cut and in general he didn't appeared on boruto too recently.
@alsimmonshellspawn6021 Uryuu vs Renji and Uryuu vs Ichigo had better animation than episodes 6 & 7. Episodes 6&7 looked fantastic not just because of animation. Other aspects as well as Lighting, CGI, camera work made episodes 6 & 7 look better. But Uryuu vs ichigo was as well animated as episode 6 and was better animated than episode 7. Uryuu vs renji had better animation than episode 7. Cour 3 was by far better animated than cour 1 and 2 in general.
