Females are not allowed to enter? 🫨Phelungre village Nagaland

It was a tradition practiced in almost all the Naga tribes to prohibit women from entering, because it was meant for men to learn the craftsmanship and art of warfare. it was the duty of male members to protect the village from any aggression or threats and hence all the unmarried men were made to sleep in same place in case of war against them. And also some Naga tribes believed it as a bad luck for women to touch any weapons of war. Therefore, women were mostly prohibited from entering the morung. However, some tribes had different morung for the female population of the village to learn their ways. I hope that helps?
